Denver Broncos QB Drew Lock says fellow QB Joe Flacco has been a positive influence this offseason. 'He's taught me a lot so far,' Lock said. 'He's dealing with trying to win football games, and I'm dealing with trying to learn. We're in the same quarterback room. He's been great to me.'

Huddle Up: Lock gets the hype as the shiny new QB brimming with potential, but aside from injury, expect the veteran Flacco to start all the Broncos' games this season and finish as a QB2 in fantasy.

Denver Broncos QB Drew Lock has a number of on-field adjustments to make as the team enters its rookie minicamp Friday, May 10. 'Drew obviously has a lot of talent -- he's got a lot of arm talent -- but he's got to work on a lot of different things, too,' general manager John Elway said. 'When you look at what he did in college offensively, he was in the spread and wasn't under center very often. With what we're going to do offensively, he's going to have a lot of work to do.'

Huddle Up: Elway and the Broncos are smitten with Lock's potential, but he projects as more of a longer-term project and will likely spend the 2019 season backing up veteran Joe Flacco.

Denver Broncos QB Drew Lock will 'compete for the backup role' and learn from QB Joe Flacco in 2019, according to general manager John Elway.

Huddle Up: Elway confirmed what already seemed obvious. Lock is going to stay on the sidelines for at least a year, and it could be longer if Flacco plays well. Lock is a stash candidate in dynasty leagues at this point.

Missouri QB Drew Lock was selected by the Denver Broncos with the 42nd overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Huddle Up: Lock likely will sit behind Joe Flacco for at least one year, so he can be avoided in standard leagues. He should have some value in keeper leagues since he should be starting in aa few seasons.
