Los Angeles Rams RB Darrell Henderson, a third-round rookie out of Memphis, recently told the Los Angeles Times that he's feeling right at home with his new team. 'If you go back and watch my college film and you watch the Rams film, it's the same,' Henderson told the Los Angeles Times this week. 'I thought that was the best system I could get in. So everything worked out great. When I was talking to them, everything was clicking and we developed a relationship. The coaches told me they knew they were going to get me so it was the perfect fit.'

Huddle Up: Henderson indeed appears to have found the ideal pro fit, but as long as Todd Gurley is atop the depth chart -- question marks and all -- Henderson should be valued as no more than a RB4/5 with upside in drafts.

Los Angeles Rams RB Darrell Henderson has his new team excited after drafting him in the third round. '(He) gives us an (Alvin) Kamara element,' general manager Les Snead said. Added head coach Sean McVay: 'We'd identified him as a guy that has a specific skill set, that really can do some unique things for us offensively. He was one of those guys that stood out for us, so we're excited about getting him here.'

Huddle Up: Even if Todd Gurley is still not his elite RB1 self, he still figures to be the main back in L.A. but Henderson will get his share of work and should be valued as a RB4/5 with upside. Just don't expect him to finish anywhere near the fourth-best running back in fantasy as Kamara did as a rookie in 2017.

Los Angeles Rams third-round RB Darrell Henderson's arrival may prompt the team to use fewer 11-personnel (three receivers, one running back and one tight end) and possibly utilize two running backs more often going forward, in the opinion of ESPN's Lindsey Thiry.

Huddle Up: The Rams were have labeled Henderson as a "change-of-pace" back and a "unique playmaker" they have been looking for since the Lance Dunbar experiment failed a couple of seasons ago. The 208- pound Memphis product is a bit of a one-track runner in the Tevin Coleman mode, so he does bring something different to the table. What he does in training camp this summer figures to go a long way in determining if he can pass Malcolm Brown on the depth chart and become Todd Gurley's handcuff.

Los Angeles Rams RB Darrell Henderson was selected to serve as a change-of-pace back and not because of lingering concerns about the condition of RB Todd Gurley's knee, according to head coach Sean McVay.

Huddle Up: Regardless of what McVay and GM Les Snead say, it seems a little suspect that the Rams would part with two third-round picks to move up and select Henderson if they just planned on giving Gurley the same percentage of touches that they did in 2018. Obviously a lot can happen between now and Week 1, but Henderson is absolutely someone to keep an eye on as he could be in line for a significant role as a rookie.

Memphis RB Darrell Henderson was selected by the Los Angeles Rams with 70th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Huddle Up: Henderson could immediately become the primary backup for Todd Gurley. If that's the case, he will become a must-add handcuff for Gurley owners.
