Huddle Up: Montgomery currently projects behind Tarik Cohen and free-agent addition Mike Davis (Seahawks) on the Bears' depth chart. Montgomery could quickly rise to the top as the replacement for Jordan Howard (Eagles) on the ground. The rookie rushed for 1,216 yards and 13 touchdowns in his final year at Iowa State last season. He's a strong selection as a RB2.

Huddle Up: Montgomery already is the second-most coveted rookie RB in fantasy, ranking only behind the Raiders' Josh Jacobs, and he's a solid RB3 pick in all non-dynasty drafts.

Huddle Up: Tarik Cohen is expected to be the starting running back for the Bears this season, but fantasy players should monitor Montgomery's progress during the preseason. Montgomery will be a solid pick in keeper leagues and could also have value in standard leagues.

Huddle Up: Tarik Cohen is going to have a role in the passing game, but Montgomery has the size and the hands to be an every-down back. He's a first-round candidate in rookie drafts and has RB2 upside as a rookie.

Huddle Up: Montgomery could see plenty of touches in the Chicago backfield in 2019, perhaps splitting time with Tarik Cohen. If he works on his hand and is as good as he is confident, he could be quite a solid fantasy option in PPR formats.

Huddle Up: With Jordan Howard out of the picture, Montgomery has a great chance to become Chicago's between-the-tackles back. He is worth considering in the first-round of rookie drafts, and flex production isn't out of the question.
