The Arizona Cardinals placed rookie WR Ryan Swope on the NFL's Reserve/Retired list because of ongoing concussion issues. Swope reportedly suffered a concussion during off-season workouts, and will reassess his health situation next season.
Huddle Up: Many thought Arizona picked up a steal in selecting the former Texas A&M standout in the 6th round, but continuing concussion problems -- as we've all come to learn -- are nothing to mess with, and the Cards and the first-year wideout aren't about to at this point.

Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians said he is concerned about WR Ryan Swope (concussion) because the team did not expect him to sit out offseason workouts because of concussion symptoms. 'I'm not sure what he can do, I'm not sure what the doctors are going to do at this point. I hope ... because the kid is a great talent, and it would be a shame. But having [WR Austin Collie] last year, go through this same thing, it's scary.'
Huddle Up: It's not good to have your health status compared to Austin Collie's before you've seen your first NFL snap, but that's the current reality for the Cards' 6th-round pick, who racked up 233 receptions over the past 3 seasons at Texas A&M. Check back come training camp to see if his situation has improved.
