Updating a previous report, Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Vincent Jackson (knee) does not definitively have a torn anterior cruciate ligament, according to a source. The injury is still being evaluated, but Jackson could return this season if it is determined that the injury is not to the ACL. If the injury is to Jackson's medial collateral ligament, then he may be able to avoid surgery and recover sooner. Jackson will miss at least six weeks and won't be able to play in a game for eight weeks.

Huddle Up: There's a little bit of a silver lining, but Jackson wasn't producing even when he was healthy. Mike Evans will have the lion's share of targets, while Adam Humphries and Cameron Brate will be looked at more often, too. Even Jacquizz Rodgers may be used more in the passing game with Charles Sims on IR. Pick up Humphries or Brate if they're available.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Vincent Jackson (knee) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Tuesday, Oct. 18, with a torn anterior cruciate ligament.

Huddle Up: Jackson wasn't doing much, but it's still a significant loss for the Bucs. Mike Evans will continue to receive the majority of targets, while Adam Humphries should now serve as the No. 2 wide receiver. Humphries was out-producing Jackson before Jackson was injured anyway and should be picked up off waivers immediately if he is available.

  • Posted: 10/10/2016 8:20pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Vincent Jackson hauled in three receptions for 36 yards on five targets in the Week 5 game against the Carolina Panthers Monday, Oct. 10.

Huddle Up: Jackson has struggled mightily since coming over to the Bucs, and he is no longer worth using in anything but the deepest of fantasy leagues as long as Mike Evans remains healthy.

  • Posted: 8/9/2016 1:42pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Vincent Jackson (undisclosed) is out of practice Tuesday, Aug. 9, as a maintenance day and because he's banged up, according to head coach Dirk Koetter.

Huddle Up: Believe it or not, V-Jax is 33 now and entering his 12th NFL season so don't be surprised if his productiveness continues to trend in the wrong direction. Just don't overlook him, though, coming off a season in which he only played 10 games.

  • Posted: 7/12/2016 1:22pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Vincent Jackson will be used in the slot on a regular basis if WR Donteea Dye, WR Kenny Bell or WR Russell Shepard can play well enough to earn regular time on the outside. If this happens, WR Adam Humphries' snaps will be reduced.

Huddle Up: With a career yards-per-catch average of 17.0, V-Jax always has been more of an outside deep threat, but he's almost certainly lost a step or two at age 33, but he still definitely has the size (6-5, 240 pounds) to be a formidable target over the middle for Jameis Winston.

  • Posted: 3/27/2016 2:37pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Vincent Jackson isn't 'anywhere close' to being finished as a productive receiver, according to head coach Dirk Koetter.

Huddle Up: Jackson just turned 33 and is coming off a season shortened by a shoulder injury that turned out to be one of the least productive (33-543-3) of his career. Expect his numbers to rebound, but Mike Evans remains the Bucs' No. 1 WR.

  • Posted: 1/29/2016 2:06pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Vincent Jackson will return to the team in 2016. The Buccaneers were 4-4 with him and 2-6 without him in the lineup in 2015.

Huddle Up: Jackson just turned 33 but still at 6-5 and 240 pounds he's not getting any shorter and is still a prime downfield and red-zone target.

  • Posted: 12/30/2015 4:34pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Vincent Jackson was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Wednesday, Dec. 30, with a nagging shoulder injury that has bothered him all season.

Huddle Up: The 32-year-old V-Jax was limited to 10 games this season and will finish with five-year lows in targets (62), receptions (33) and yards (543).

  • Posted: 12/17/2015 8:21pm ET

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have declared WR Vincent Jackson, DL Akeem Spence, TE Brandon Myers, LB Bruce Carter, OT Demar Dotson, DL George Johnson and QB Ryan W. Griffin inactive for the game Thursday, Dec. 17 against the St. Louis Rams.

Huddle Up: Jackson is battling a knee injury that could keep him out for the rest of the regular season. Mike Evans, Donteea Dye and Adam Humphries will help pick up the extra targets.

  • Posted: 12/16/2015 4:31pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Vincent Jackson (knee) has been ruled out for Week 15.

Huddle Up: In case you missed it, V-Jax likely is done for the rest of the regular season, meaning fellow wideout Mike Evans will be more of a focal point than ever.

  • Posted: 12/15/2015 7:55pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Vincent Jackson (knee) missed practice for the second straight day Tuesday, Dec. 15.

Huddle Up: Jackson isn't going to play Thursday night. Mike Evans will dominate targets and tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins should also see an increased role in the passing game against the Rams.

  • Posted: 12/14/2015 7:47pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Vincent Jackson (knee) will miss several games with a medial collateral ligament sprain. His availability depends on if the Buccaneers make the postseason.

Huddle Up: Rugged news for V-Jax owners as he's likely out for the rest of the fantasy postseason.
