Huddle Up: That would be just about double his average of 10.5 touches per outing a year ago, when he gained 1,023 yards from scrimmage and scored 126 fantasy points -- 165 in PPR leagues -- on 157 touches. Fantasy GMs can do the math from there.

Huddle Up: Good news for the speedy second-year back who has generated much fantasy buzz this offseason as he assumes the starting role in the desert.

Huddle Up: Ellington has yet to see more than 15 carries in an NFL game, but he added weight this offseason in anticipation of a larger workload. The Cardinals have Stepfan Taylor and Jonathan Dwyer to run between the tackles so they may not have to overwork Ellington there, but the plan is for Ellington to see 20-plus touches on a regular basis. Fantasy owners are salivating, though the question remains whether or not he can hold up to such a workload.

Huddle Up: It's the offseason, so take the coachspeak with a grain of salt. Ellington has definite fantasy value as the most talented back in Arizona, but at his current ADP of RB17--ahead of, among others, Shane Vereen and Ryan Mathews--he's no longer a value pick. The concern, which Arians has voiced before, is how Ellington will hold up to such a workload at 5-9 and 200 pounds.

Huddle Up: Ellington is coming off a big game versus Tennessee. He has a much tougher matchup this week against Seattle but Ellington is on the flex play radar in PPR formats.

Huddle Up: Before leaving, the rookie had racked up his 2nd-highest yardage total of the season (158 on only 14 touches), but any Week 16 enthusiasm should be tempered by the formidable road matchup vs. the Seahawks' D, which has surrendered the third-fewest fantasy points to opposing RBs this season.

Huddle Up: Ellington showed some progression after not practicing Wednesday and sitting out Week 13 but will likely need to show more if he's going to get back on the field this Sunday against the Rams.

Huddle Up: Ellington missed last week's game and is questionable at best for Sunday's game versus St. Louis. Look for other backfield options.

Huddle Up: This could mean another start for Rashard Mendenhall, which could be valuable. The Cardinals get the Rams, who have been generous to opposing running backs at times this season.

Huddle Up: Hopefully this doesn't mean more missed time for Ellington, but he has been stuck in a timeshare with Rashard Mendenhall regardless. Keep an eye on him this week.

Huddle Up: Ellington has a good match-up against the Eagles and he would normally be a strong flex play in PPR formats. However, considering he's not 100 percent this week fantasy owners should look elsewhere.

Huddle Up: That's pretty much par for the course for rookie backs, the need for improved pass protection. Doesn't help that Ellington is a bit small to be taking on linebackers as well. But if he wants to stay on the field, it's a skill he'll need to pick up.

Huddle Up: Ellington has a lot of upside. If he can wrest the starting gig from Rashard Mendenhall, he is going to be one of the better waiver wire pickups of the year.

Huddle Up: Ellington offers a change of pace to Rashard Mendenhall, and with Bruce Arians an extremely pass-happy coach the third-down role in Arizona certainly has fantasy value.
