Jacksonville Jaguars general manager Dave Caldwell said Thursday, Feb. 6, that he is hopeful WR Ace Sanders becomes a 'Darren Sproles-type.'

Huddle Up: At 5-foot-7 and 180 pounds, Sanders certainly has the Sproles body type. This past season as a rookie, Sanders finished second on the squad with 51 catches for 484 yards and 1 TD, with 35 of those receptions coming in the Jags' final 7 games.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Ace Sanders probably will start at wide receiver Week 12 if WR Mike Brown (shoulder) is not able to play.

Huddle Up: Brown has missed both of the team's practices this week, meaning we could see more of the rookie Sanders, who had a team-high 8 catches for 61 yards on 10 targets in Week 11's loss to Cards.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Ace Sanders worked with the first-team offense at the slot position during offseason workouts and is expected to receive most of his playing time at that position early in the season. Sanders is also expected to be used in the committee that will replace WR Justin Blackmon for the first four games of the season.

Huddle Up: Sanders could also factor into the return game, which would give him added fantasy value in leagues that include return yards. With Blackmon out, Cecil Shorts will need some help to carry the Jaguars' passing game and right now Sanders looks to have the best opportunity to do so.

Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley said WR Ace Sanders may not participate in offseason workouts until next month because he is dealing with abdomen and hip injuries.

Huddle Up: With Jacksonville's receiving corps wide open after Cecil Shorts, it's a blow to Sanders' chances to contribute immediately if he misses out on these opportunities to pick up the offense.
