Detroit Lions DT Ndamukong Suh had a strong day of practice Tuesday, Aug. 14, and is making strides to return to the dominant force on the defensive line that he was in his rookie season. 'In my opinion, Suh is practicing better now than he ever has since he's been here,' defensive line coach Kris Kocurek said. 'He's working. He went back and reviewed everything he did last year, and even the previous year, and tried to pick things out in his game that he needed to improve. Basically, a lot of it is just consistency in what we're trying to do. Fine tuning small details that are going to help him be more productive, and be the player he wants to be on Sunday.'
Huddle Up: The Lions are banking on Suh after a down year, marred by his 2-game suspension for his ill-advised stomping incident on Thanksgiving. Suh's total tackles dropped from 66 to 39 in 2011 and his sacks fell from 10 to 4. If his 2012 numbers return to his 2010 range, the Detroit defense will continue to be a fantasy force after finishing second overall to Chicago in fantasy points.
