Huddle Up: Spiller is a free agent at the end of the season and with Bryce Brown waiting in the wings, this could be his last year in Buffalo. However, unless a strong offer comes the Bills way in the next couple of weeks, expect Spiller to remain with the team for the 2014 season as part of a talented backfield committee. Spiller is currently a bit overvalued with an ADP of late Round 3.

Huddle Up: Spiller has averaged 15.6 touches per game in each of the past 2 seasons, and unless Fred Jackson (15.8 per outing in 2013) misses a significant portion of the season, it's going to be tough for Spiller to hit that mark, especially considering that FA signee Bryce Brown also is now in the mix.

Huddle Up: It makes sense that if the team is more comfortable with the system they'll be able to run it more efficiently. The Bills ran the ball well last season, so if Spiller can stay on the field maybe he'll finally live up to the fantasy hype that's surrounded him since he was a first-round pick a few years back.

Huddle Up: No question, a healthy Spiller makes for a happy fantasy owner. And as he's seemingly recovered from the issue that plagued him last year, that's a good place to start. We'll see how long it lasts.

Huddle Up: Given the way Spiller has tended to get nicked, it is hardly a surprise the Bills are in no rush to commit long-term money. The current market for running backs doesn't help Spiller either, but he could capitalize by more consistently making the big plays he's known for and driving up his price... or at least finding a way to stay on the field.

Huddle Up: Despite missing only 1 game, Spiller's total yards and total TDs dropped significantly from his career year in 2012, and expect only a modest increase if the Bills do indeed insist on a 2-back timeshare.
Posted: 12/2/2013 2:53pm ET
Huddle Up: He came back to the game and played well. It looks like he is just fine.
Posted: 11/15/2013 12:00am ET
Huddle Up: Any additional touches would be welcomed by Spiller's fantasy owners as the RB only has 19 catches for 86 yards so far. He had 43 receptions for 459 yards and a pair of scores a year ago.

Huddle Up: The injury report merely indicates if a player missed some or all of practice, and if so why. So Spiller must have practiced fully on his less-than-100% ankle this week, and will likely play on it as such this weekend. He looked good last week, right up until he tweaked his ankle again, but if he's close enough that his practice time isn't being limited than you should consider him pretty much all systems go.

Huddle Up: Spiller looks great for not being 100 percent. Hopefully he is getting healthier as the season wears on.
Posted: 11/1/2013 3:19pm ET
Huddle Up: It's looks like Spiller will be back in action after missing the Week 8 loss in New Orleans and get a chance to improve on his deeply disappointing fantasy numbers, which include only 1 100-total-yard game and 1 TD all season.
Posted: 10/31/2013 4:06pm ET
Huddle Up: Spiller missed Week 8 and despite the limited work Thursday, will have his game status decided over the next few days. So if you need to get him back in your lineup, stay attuned to the updates coming out of western New York.
Posted: 10/30/2013 12:56pm ET
Huddle Up: This is encouraging. Keep an eye on his injury status the rest of the week.
Posted: 10/28/2013 5:50pm ET
Huddle Up: Unfortunately, Spiller would be returning against a good Chiefs defense. He might not be worth the start if he can play.
Posted: 10/25/2013 4:38pm ET
Huddle Up: There is at least some hope here despite the doubtful tag, but given Spiller's recent struggles, his fantasy owners are better off going with another starting option whether Spiller plays or not.
Posted: 10/25/2013 1:53pm ET
Huddle Up: Spiller gets a seat on the fantasy bench this week as he hasn't practiced all week and is listed as doubtful for the Week 8 contest in New Orleans. In the meantime, the already-productive Fred Jackson gets a sizable bump in value.
Posted: 10/24/2013 6:17pm ET
Huddle Up: Given the cloud that continues to hover over Spiller, it's past time for his fantasy owners to be looking for other starting RB options.
Posted: 10/23/2013 6:04pm ET
Huddle Up: This is good to hear from Spiller, who has been an abject disappointment thus far. Hopefully a healing ankle means better production.
Posted: 10/22/2013 8:27pm ET
Huddle Up: Between the injury issues, Fred Jackson's presence and a general lack of production, the whole season has been a struggle for Spiller and his fantasy owners as the RB only has one TD and one contest with more than 80 total yards.
Posted: 10/18/2013 9:37pm ET
Huddle Up: Spiller will still split time with Fred Jackson but he will be healthier than he was last Thursday after 10 days of rest. He's off to a slow start but Spiller should be in fantasy owner's starting lineups this week.
Posted: 10/18/2013 1:57pm ET
Huddle Up: Between the injuries and Fred Jackson's presence, it's been a frustrating season for Spiller's fantasy owners, and it looks like more of the same is in store Sunday in Miami. If you still need to start Spiller, make sure your expectations are adjusted accordingly.
Posted: 10/16/2013 6:05pm ET
Huddle Up: Spiller gets another relatively tough matchup this week against a Dolphins defense that is getting healthy after a bye week. All it takes is one big run, but this could be a rough week for the Bills in general.
Posted: 10/11/2013 3:50pm ET
Huddle Up: Expect Spiller to play but split time once again with Fred Jackson. If it weren't for a long run last week, Spiller's game would had been a fantasy disaster. He should be healthier this week though. However, Spiller probably doesn't warrant anything more than a flex play against the Bengals' tough defense. Probably not what Spiller owners wanted to hear in Week 6 after drafting him in the first round.
Posted: 10/11/2013 12:16am ET
Huddle Up: Spiller did just fine (66 yards, TD) in Week 5 for a RB who was close to not suiting up at all. Of more concern to his fantasy owners should be all the work backfield mate Fred Jackson is getting and the tough Cincy defense coming to town Sunday.
Posted: 10/3/2013 7:43pm ET
Huddle Up: Spiller is active, but that puts the onus back on fantasy GMs with the RB at something less than 100 percent on a short week and still involved in a time share with Fred Jackson also active. Bottom line: He's there if you need him, but don't set your expectations too high.
Posted: 10/2/2013 7:15pm ET
Huddle Up: Spiller is a risky fantasy play this week even if he's active. The Browns are tough against the run and a gimpy Spiller will be nothing more than a flex start at best this week. It may be a blessing in disguise for Spiller owners if he doesn't play on Thursday given his slow start to the season.
Posted: 10/1/2013 5:49pm ET
Huddle Up: So it seems Spiller didn't practice after all. It's not looking good for him this week.
Posted: 10/1/2013 5:15pm ET
Huddle Up: This is encouraging, but Spiller doesn't have a great matchup this week against the Browns. Proceed with caution.
Posted: 9/30/2013 4:25pm ET
Huddle Up: Well that was a fast decision. He is still a dubious start given the short week and matchup. Of course it would be like the fantasy gods to give him a huge game after everyone jumped off his bandwagon.
Posted: 9/30/2013 1:50pm ET
Huddle Up: It's going to be tough to trust Spiller on a short week. This is especially considering how ineffective he has been this season.
Posted: 9/30/2013 12:53am ET
Huddle Up: With a short week, it's going to be difficult to count on Spiller, who hasn't been able to get things going at all this season. He is going to be a great buy-low candidate this week.
Posted: 9/29/2013 5:17pm ET
Huddle Up: This marks the second consecutive week when Spiller has left with an injury. The Bills once again did little to get him going with predictable play-calling and poor blocking.
Posted: 9/26/2013 6:00pm ET
Huddle Up: This is good to see, it looks like he will be a full go against Baltimore this week. Hopefully he can bounce back soon.
Posted: 9/25/2013 6:00pm ET
Huddle Up: This is encouraging after he was pulled from the Jets game with a mysterious injury. If only his offensive line could block.
Posted: 9/24/2013 2:24pm ET
Huddle Up: Spiller also has frustrated with himself as he was limited to 9 yards on 10 carries in the game while running mate Fred Jackson picked up 72 yards on 7 totes. That's 2 out of 3 games now that Jackson has outrushed Spiller and he also has more catches (13-9), more receiving yards (113-29) and has the team's lone TD run this season.
Posted: 9/23/2013 12:13pm ET
Huddle Up: This was the biggest concern regarding Spiller coming into the season, how he would hold up to being a feature back. The Bills are still using plenty of Fred Jackson, and with Spiller consistently nicked that is unlikely to change. At least it sounds like Spiller will be back to get his usual allotment of touches in Week 4.
Posted: 9/22/2013 7:28pm ET
Huddle Up: This was a nightmare game for Spiller, who limped off the field after a horrendous stat line. He couldn't get things going against that tough Jets front, and it has been a rather disappointing first three weeks for the stud. Hopefully his injury isn't serious.
Posted: 8/24/2013 6:20pm ET
Huddle Up: Spiller actually suffered a cut when he was spiked in the knee. The injury looked serious for a second but there's no need for fantasy owners to worry. He's fine.
