Huddle Up: Decker's preseason totals so far include 1 game played, 2 targets and 2 receptions for 12 yards. In other words, the free-agent signee can use a lengthy run with Geno Smith and the first-team offense Friday to get in sync.

Huddle Up: So Decker and the starters will play -- but probably only for a series or three -- Thursday night in Indy. The key, of course, with a testy hammy is not aggravating a minor tweak into something bigger.

Huddle Up: The injuries aren't believed to be serious and you can expect the Jets to be extra cautious with Decker given their lack of pass catchers. Decker will eat up targets in New York this season but how consistent the quarterback play is for the Jets will ultimately decide his fantasy success. Decker currently has an ADP of Round 8.

Huddle Up: Doubtful that teams will opt to double Kerley over Decker, so it may be Kerley's effectiveness that gets increased. What the Jets need is for Chris Johnson to provide a threat in the running game so play action passes work and for Stephen Hill to develop on the opposite side to take some of the pressure off of Decker. A big contribution from rookie tight end Jace Amaro wouldn't hurt, either.

Huddle Up: It's good news that Decker is healthy enough to play in the scrimmage. He currently has an ADP of Round 8. If Geno Smith improves in his second season, Decker could be a steal that low considering the amount of targets he's expected to see this year.

Huddle Up: Yeah, another camp, another player, another ailing hammy. Keep posted to see if the FA wideout can get past it fairly quickly.

Huddle Up: Probably not the way the Jets would prefer their shiny new free agent wide receiver would prioritize things, but this shouldn't be a major issue in regards to Decker learning the offense or earning a key spot in the Jets' receiver rotation.

Huddle Up: Decker is a quality wideout who has averaged 86 receptions, 1,176 yards and 12 TDs over the past 2 seasons catching passes from Peyton Manning, but now he switches to second-year QB Geno Smith and Jets, whose leading WR (Jeremy Kerley) caught only 43 passes for 523 yards and 3 scores last season. In other words, Decker's fantasy value has taken a decided turn for the worse.

Huddle Up: Decker will have plenty of suitors if he hits the open market as expected, and the Colts would certainly be a good fit given their WR needs following Reggie Wayne's injury last season.

Huddle Up: This is Elway's way of acknowledging that some other team will pay Decker like a WR1 while Denver already has a WR1 and couldn't afford to match such a deal. Of course, Decker could decide that the advantages to catching balls from Peyton Manning outweigh getting paid like a WR1, but that's a less likely scenario.

Huddle Up: All indications are the Broncos will allow Decker to hit the open market, and that most likely means he's as good as gone as he figures to command WR1 money -- something the Broncos aren't likely to match.

Huddle Up: Decker is in line for a rather sizable bump in pay wherever he lands, but there remains some question as to whether he's fully suited to be a clear-cut No. 1 WR.

Huddle Up: Something to keep an eye on in the Super Bowl as Decker could bump up his market value exponentially with a big performance on the national stage.

Huddle Up: Decker took his turn in the spotlight as Demaryius Thomas and Julius Thomas were injured, giving Peyton Manning yet another go-to guy in the Broncos' big win over their division rival. Just don't expect similar results every week, as Peyton Manning has multiple go-to guys and isn't afraid to use them.

Huddle Up: Expect Decker to be out there against the Cowboys barring a late-week setback. He's averaging 6 catches and 85 yards a game, but those figures still are third and second, respectively, on the high-octane Broncos.

Huddle Up: After disappointing his fantasy owners with a 2-catch, 32-yard, no-TD outing in a Week 1 game in which Peyton Manning tossed 7 scoring passes, Decker has eased a lot of angst with 16 receptions for 220 yards and a TD over the past 2 games. Manning has a plethora of weapons to choose from, but all of them remain must-fantasy starts in the league's highest-scoring offense.
Posted: 9/12/2013 5:28pm ET
Huddle Up: No worries here as Decker will get a chance to atone for his poor Week 1 performance (2 catches, 32 yards) on a night when Peyton Manning threw for 462 yards and 7 TDs.
