Updating a previous report, the Philadelphia Eagles re-signed free-agent WR Riley Cooper on Thursday, Feb. 27 to a five-year, $25 million deal.

Huddle Up: Cooper was able to shake off last summer's concert-comment controversy and post career highs across the board in games started (15), receptions (47), receiving yards (835) and TD catches (8). In fact, those numbers trumped the totals from his 3 previous seasons combined. Look for him to remain a low-end WR2/high-end WR3 opposite DeSean Jackson.

Philadelphia Eagles WR Riley Cooper (knee) practiced in full Friday, Nov. 15, and is probable for Week 11.

Huddle Up: In case you somehow still have Cooper on your bench, he has recorded the fourth-most receiving yards (462) and the most TDs (6) in the league over the past 5 weeks.

Philadelphia Eagles WR Riley Cooper has returned from his excused absence and will practice Tuesday, Aug. 6.

Huddle Up: The firestorm has abated a bit for Cooper, who is still the de facto No. 2 receiver in Philadelphia. He doesn't have much upside, but keeping that job would mean at least a modicum of fantasy value.

Philadelphia Eagles WR Riley Cooper was excused from all team activities Friday, Aug. 2, as he seeks counseling for his use of a racial slur that was captured in a YouTube video. There is no time frame for Cooper to complete counseling and return to team activities, according to the team.

Huddle Up: Not only is Cooper's bid to replace injured starter Jeremy Maclin in doubt, but his future with the team also is very much in question after his leave of absence ends as his teammates' reactions to the video have run the gamut. In the meantime, the door is now open for either Jason Avant or Arrelious Benn to step forward and make a run at Maclin's job.

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly said he is concerned that the racial slurs made by WR Riley Cooper could lead to a divided locker room. 'Yeah, there is a concern with that,' Kelly said. 'Obviously, it's a very hot topic and that's why I encouraged our team [that] we've got to have some open communication so everybody knows what went on and what Riley is doing to atone for it.'

Huddle Up: Cooper was said to be in line to start in place of the injured Jeremy Maclin, but his insensitive and untimely comments have thrown his whole Philly situation into limbo. Let's see where Cooper stands with his teammates after the media frenzy dies down.

Philadelphia Eagles WR Riley Cooper is the front runner for the No. 2 wide receiver position. It is his job to lose.

Huddle Up: Cooper would step into the role vacated by the injury to Jeremy Maclin, but he's certainly not the skilled receiver Maclin is. Jason Avant is likely Cooper's primary competition.

Posted: 7/9/2013 2:57pm et

Philadelphia Eagles WR Riley Cooper could be in danger of being cut during training camp if he doesn't step up.

Huddle Up: Cooper made 5 starts and hit career highs with 23 receptions, 248 yards and 3 TDs in 2012, but there's a whole new offense in town and Cooper will have to fight to regain his spot in the Eagles' WR rotation now that free-agent Arrelious Benn has been added to the mix.
