Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown has agreed to restructure his contract, which will create $3.08 million in salary cap space for the team. His 2013 base salary has gone from $4.5 million to $650,000.

Huddle Up: Brown just inked this deal last offseason, while Mike Wallace was holding out. Now Brown restructures and Wallace will likely be wearing a different uniform in 2013; that's some interesting cap management in Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown said he is ready for a bigger offensive role next season if impending free-agent WR Mike Wallace does not return. "I am always ready," Brown said. "I am ready no matter who is here, no matter who goes. I am always working on getting better. I will be ready no matter what the situation is. Whoever stays in the room, we just have to know the importance of working hard and with the right attitude."

Huddle Up: All signs point towards Wallace being in a different uniform this season, which provides Brown with a tremendous opportunity. He has flashed significant potential over the past couple of seasons, but now he may have to deal with the additional pressures of being a WR1. Fantasy-wise, if Wallace leaves Brown isn't going to sneak up on anyone; he'll clearly be Ben Roethlisberger's top target and will be priced accordingly.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown, who might be the team's No. 1 receiver next year, said he plans on working on his ball-security issues this offseason. With WR Mike Wallace expected to depart in free agency, the wide receiver position could become a position of need for the team in the draft.

Huddle Up: Brown finished second on the team with 66 receptions and was third with 787 receiving yards and 5 TDs. He had a pair of fumbles and didn't have an excessive number of drops, so it's nothing that shouldn't keep Brown from becoming the Steelers' No. 1 WR if Wallace departs.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown (ankle) practiced in full Wednesday, Nov. 28.

Huddle Up: Good to see Brown back in action, but we're not sure how much he's going to be able to do with Charlie Batch at the helm. He might be the biggest beneficiary of Batch's tendency to throw short passes, but it might be best to wait and see how Brown responds to his first game action since injuring his leg.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown (ankle) will return to practice Wednesday, Nov. 28, and is scheduled to play in Week 13.

Huddle Up: Brown has missed the past 3 games, and combined with the injury absence of Ben Roethlisberger, the Steelers' passing game has hit the skids. The Black & Gold hope both will return for Sunday's key rematch with the Ravens.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown (ankle) will be a game-time decision Sunday for the Week 12 game against the Cleveland Browns.

Huddle Up: Brown, who has missed the past 2 games, has practiced all week, albeit on a limited basis. He'll test the ankle before the game Sunday morning in Cleveland, so be sure to check The Huddle's Game Day Inactives, Injuries & Weather report for the latest on his status.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown (ankle) was limited in practice all week and is questionable for Week 12.

Huddle Up: This looks like it could come down to a game-time decision. Whether or not he will be able to overcome Charlie Batch at quarterback if he goes.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown (ankle) was limited in practice Wednesday, Nov. 21.

Huddle Up: It was encouraging to see Brown be able to get in some work after missing the past 2 games, but he's likely going to have to show more later in the week before he's ready for game action.

Posted: 11/20/2012 6:14pm et

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown (ankle) will be limited early this week and is considered questionable for Week 12.

Huddle Up: The Steelers will already be without Ben Roethlisberger; another week without Brown could be bad. Emmanuel Sanders gets a boost as the de facto No. 2 receiver once again, but with Charlie Batch throwing the ball, there is not much to look forward to this weekend from Pittsburgh receivers.

Posted: 11/16/2012 6:25pm et

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown (ankle) did not participate in practice Friday, Nov. 16, and has been ruled out for Week 11.

Huddle Up: Brown, who was hurt in Week 9's win over the Giants, will sit out a second straight game Sunday. That leaves Mike Wallace, Emmanuel Sanders and Jerricho Cotchery as the WR targets for QB Byron Leftwich.

Posted: 11/14/2012 3:25pm et

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown (ankle) said he will not participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 14, and Thursday, Nov. 15, and will be evaluated Friday, Nov. 16.

Huddle Up: It looks like Brown will be out another game, though we aren't sure he would make much of an impact with Byron Leftwich at quarterback. Keep an eye out for his injury status on Friday.

Posted: 11/10/2012 8:34pm et

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 10.

Huddle Up: As has been anticipated all week, Brown will miss his first start of the season. Emmanuel Sanders and Jerricho Cotchery have been popular waiver-wire pickups and should pick up the fantasy slack, in that order.

Posted: 11/7/2012 3:55pm et

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Emmanuel Sanders will start in place of WR Antonio Brown (ankle) in Week 10.

Huddle Up: Sanders had a nice day last week including a touchdown when Brown was still in the game. He will get a chance to shine against a weak Kansas City defense.

Posted: 11/5/2012 10:01pm et

Updating a previous report, Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said Mondat that WR Antonio Brown (ankle) has a mild high-ankle sprain.

Huddle Up: Mild or not, high-ankle sprains never are good news and it defnitely doesn't bode well for Brown's chances of playing in Week 10. Emmanuel Sanders will be a popular pick-up after he caught a scoring pass Sunday, but don't forget about Jerricho Cotchery, who had more targets (4-3) and more receptions (4-2) than Sanders in the game.

Posted: 11/5/2012 11:33am et

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown did not suffer a high ankle sprain in Week 9 and the injury is not regarded as severe, according to a league source. Brown could play in Week 10.

Huddle Up: Brown reportedly said he had the dreaded high ankle sprain following the game, but he's not a doctor and as the Steelers flew in to New York the day of the game it's unlikely he stayed at a Holiday Inn Express the previous night. Emmanuel Sanders was solid as the Steelers' wingman Sunday night, which may only serve as impetus for Brown to get back on the field quickly.

Posted: 11/4/2012 6:22pm et

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown suffered an ankle injury late in the first quarter of Sunday's Week 9 game against the New York Giants. He left the game, and still had not returned in the third quarter.

Huddle Up: Brown, the Steelers' leading receiver, had 2 catches for 19 yards before the injury, and would be a big loss for the team if he misses any amount of time.

Posted: 7/28/2012 12:16am et

The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed WR Antonio Brown to a five-year contract extension worth $42.5 million.

Huddle Up: Smart move for the Steelers to lock up a talented young wideout to a long-term deal. Wonder how Brown's teammate, Mike Wallace, feels about the deal.
