New York Giants QB Eli Manning will remain the starting quarterback at least for one more week, according to interim head coach Steve Spagnuolo.

Huddle Up: Manning could definitely finish out the year as the starter unless Spags and the coaching staff want to throw Davis Webb to the wolves before the season concludes. Manning has not been a reliable quarterback all year and certainly can't be trusted in the fantasy playoffs.

  • Posted: 12/10/2017 5:35pm ET

New York Giants QB Eli Manning completed 31 of his 46 pass attempts for 228 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in the Week 14 loss against the Dallas Cowboys.

Huddle Up: Manning had his consecutive starts streak snapped last week when Geno Smith was used in Ben McAdoo's last game as head coach. Manning was back, but so was the mediocrity. He is best used as a QB2 in most fantasy leagues at this point.

  • Posted: 12/10/2017 1:46pm ET

New York Giants QB Eli Manning went 31-for-46 for 228 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 14.

Huddle Up: Manning regained his starting job but had a problem with interceptions during the game. He will be facing the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 14 and should be avoided in all fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 12/10/2017 7:19am ET

New York Giants QB Eli Manning is expected to be the team's starting quarterback for the rest of the season.

Huddle Up: Manning regains his starting job this week but has been held to under 200 yards in three of his last six games. He will have some weapons to work with in the passing game but probably should be avoided in all fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 12/4/2017 10:05am ET

Updating an earlier report, New York Giants Eli Manning has been reinstalled as the starting quarterback for Week 14 against the Dallas Cowboys.

Huddle Up: This was an expected move after the team fired head coach Ben McAdoo and general manager Jerry Reese as the Giants' ownership attempts to save face with their longtime quarterback and their fan base. However, Manning wasn't playing that well leading up to his one-game benching anyway and this move doesn't figure to clear up his future in New York either. Consider him a low-upside QB2 the rest of the way.

  • Posted: 12/4/2017 8:58am ET

New York Giants QB Eli Manning could return as starter in Week 14 after head coach Ben McAdoo was fired Monday, Dec. 4.

Huddle Up: Manning would have a decent matchup against the Dallas Cowboys, but there's not enough upside to warrant the start in fantasy.

  • Posted: 12/3/2017 7:17am ET

New York Giants head coach Ben McAdoo said he will not consider benching QB Geno Smith during the team's Week 13 game. QB Eli Manning would only enter the game if Smith suffered an injury.

Huddle Up: Smith has not received much playing time over the last few years, so owners should not expect a big game from him. He should be avoided in all leagues and will not have much value moving forward.

  • Posted: 11/28/2017 12:34pm ET

New York Giants QB Geno Smith will start in place of QB Eli Manning in Week 13. It is the first time in 13 years that Manning will not be starting a game for the Giants. Head coach Ben McAdoo said the Giants will take a look at both Smith and QB Davis Webb.

Huddle Up: This was seemingly inevitable given the Giants' record, injuries and the fact that Manning has not been playing well. New York is ready for next season and they want to evaluate their quarterback situation heading into the offseason. No quarterback on New York's roster is worth starting right now under the circumstances.

  • Posted: 11/23/2017 9:10pm ET

New York Giants QB Eli Manning completed 13 of his 27 passes for 113 yards and an interception in a 20-10 loss to the Washington Redskins Thursday, Nov. 23.

Huddle Up: The Giants have been sputtering on offense all year, but this was ugly. Even against friendly matchups on paper, Manning can't be trusted.

  • Posted: 11/19/2017 2:36pm ET

New York Giants QB Eli Manning went 19-for-35 for 205 yards against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 11.

Huddle Up: Manning has been playing well recently with six touchdowns and one interception in the last five games. He will be playing the Washington Redskins on Thanksgiving and probably should be considered a No. 2 quarterback in most leagues.

  • Posted: 11/12/2017 7:41pm ET

New York Giants QB Eli Manning completed 28 of his 37 pass attempts for 273 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 10 against the San Francisco 49ers.

Huddle Up: Manning and the G-Men slipped to 1-8 while providing the 49ers with their first win of the season. The offense wasn't horrible, and Manning has developed quite the rapport with Evan Engram and Sterling Shepard, who is back to 100 percent after missing time. Manning lost two offensive linemen in the game but still managed to put up decent totals.

  • Posted: 11/12/2017 7:28am ET

New York Giants QB Eli Manning will continue to be the starting quarterback for the Giants for the foreseeable future, according to sources.

Huddle Up: Manning lost his top two receivers earlier in the season, which has hurt his fantasy value. He has thrown for 1,820 yards, 12 touchdowns and six interceptions in eight games this season. He should be considered a low-end No. 2 fantasy quarterback in leagues at this point.

  • Posted: 11/6/2017 2:52pm ET

New York Giants QB Eli Manning is the Giants' starting quarterback, for now, but head coach Ben McAdoo didn't rule out the possibility of giving QB Geno Smith or QB Davis Webb a chance at some point this season. Smith came in for a couple snaps in New York's Week 9 blowout loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

Huddle Up: At the rate the Giants are going it would make sense for Smith or Webb to be given some meaningful playing time later this year. The 36-year-old Manning doesn't have many years left in the NFL, so ostensibly the Giants would want to conserve the starting thrower. Manning will remain in QB2 territory going forward.

  • Posted: 11/5/2017 1:50pm ET

New York Giants QB Eli Manning went 20-for-36 for 220 yards, two touchdowns and one interception against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 9.

Huddle Up: Manning is playing without his top two receivers, so stats are lower than they have been in previous years. He will be facing the San Francisco 49ers in Week 10 and could be a low-end No. 1 quarterback for desperate owners in deeper leagues.

  • Posted: 10/25/2017 2:01pm ET

New York Giants QB Davis Webb won't be taking over for QB Eli Manning anytime soon, but it could come to that 'at some point' this year, according to general manager Jerry Reese. 'It's not right now because we're going to fight with everything we have with these nine games left and hopefully we can turn our season around,' Reese said. Reese added that, including Manning, everyone on the team needs to play better.

Huddle Up: Manning and the Giants actually have a decent schedule ahead of them in the second half of the season, at least from a fantasy perspective. Without Odell Beckham and Brandon Marshall, though, it's difficult to see Manning being a weekly QB1 this season.

  • Posted: 10/8/2017 5:04pm ET

New York Giants QB Eli Manning completed 21 of his 36 pass attempts for 225 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in Week 5 against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Huddle Up: Manning was sacked five times, and he wasn't helped out by the fact he lost four receivers to injury during this game, including Odell Beckham Jr. to a serious injury late. He should be reserved in all fantasy leagues heading into Week 6 in Denver, as it would be a tough matchup for Eli even with a full cadre of receivers.

  • Posted: 9/24/2017 4:30pm ET

New York Giants QB Eli Manning completed 35 of his 47 pass attempts for 366 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in the Week 3 game at Philadelphia.

Huddle Up: Manning had his best game of the season, by far, despite the fact that he continues to get no help in the run game. He'll look to keep up the good results in Week 4 at Tampa Bay against a pass defense which was torched by Minnesota's Case Keenum on Sunday.

  • Posted: 9/18/2017 9:14pm ET

New York Giants QB Eli Manning completed 22 of his 32 pass attempts for 239 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Week 2 against the Detroit Lions on Monday, Sept. 18.

Huddle Up: Manning put up pretty decent stats considering he was flattened on most plays due to a lack of protection. The Lions did get to him for five sacks and he didn't have much time to get the ball down the field, and he wasn't helped out by his run game, either. If he keeps getting pounded by opposing defenses it's hard to see the iron man Manning making it through the entire 16-game schedule.

  • Posted: 9/14/2017 7:06pm ET

New York Giants QB Eli Manning said he is not worried about how the offense performed in Week 1. 'First game,' Manning said. 'Guys were playing fast, got some good guys out there, some new bodies, so we'll bounce back. We'll be fine.'

Huddle Up: Manning looked lost without Odell Beckham Jr. on the field in Week 1, and he showed no chemistry with Brandon Marshall. Even if Beckham returns, starting Manning in Week 2 is a risky proposition.

  • Posted: 9/10/2017 10:06pm ET

New York Giants QB Eli Manning completed 29 of his 38 passes for 220 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in Week 1 loss at Dallas.

Huddle Up: Manning looked a bit lost at times with Odell Beckham Jr. inactive. He had no rapport with newcomer Brandon Marshall, hooking up for just one catch in the dying moments of the fourth quarter. His biggest contributions came on dinks and dunks to Shane Vereen for short yardage, high-percentage throws. He'll look for better results in Week 2 against the visiting Lions.

  • Posted: 8/21/2017 9:59pm ET

New York Giants QB Eli Manning completed 10-of-14 passes for 80 yards in the team's second preseason game Monday, August 21, opposite the Cleveland Browns.

Huddle Up: Manning looked good in this preseason edition of Monday Night Football, but there are much bigger concerns after his top two wide-outs departed the contest with injuries. As long as everyone around him is healthy, Manning can settle in as a low-end QB1.

  • Posted: 8/17/2017 6:32pm ET

New York Giants QB Eli Manning will play in the second and third preseason games, according to head coach Ben McAdoo.

Huddle Up: Manning sat out the first preseason game but should play at least a quarter in the second game and probably the first half in the third game. He will have a solid group of receivers to work with this season and can be considered a high-end No. 2 fantasy quarterbacks.

  • Posted: 6/22/2017 10:48am ET

New York Giants QB Eli Manning still has many years to play in the NFL, in the opinion of owner John Mara.

Huddle Up: At 36 years old, Manning has posted three straight seasons of at least 4,000 yards and 25 touchdowns. Longevity seems to be in the Manning gene pool -- brother Peyton played for 18 seasons and father Archie played for 16 seasons. As for Eli's fantasy value, he's a high-end QB2 with the ability to perform as a QB1 depending on the matchup.

  • Posted: 4/9/2017 6:12pm ET

New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. did not work out with the other skill position players during a two-day workout hosted by QB Eli Manning last week, and Beckham said he didn't attend because of upcoming oral surgery.

Huddle Up: It would have looked better for Beckham to attend with his teammates, but that doesn't change the fact that he is worthy of a first-round pick and should be one of the first receivers off the board.

  • Posted: 4/7/2017 6:45pm ET

New York Giants QB Eli Manning said WR Brandon Marshall reminds him of former WR Plaxico Burress. 'I was excited when we made that acquisition,' Manning said. 'He's obviously a big target and smart, asks a lot of questions, he's going to pick up the offense quickly.'

Huddle Up: The move to the pass-heavy offense should revive Marshall's fantasy value. He should be able to deliver WR2 production in 2017.

  • Posted: 3/1/2017 6:44pm ET

New York Giants head coach Ben McAdoo suggested QB Eli Manning deserved his share of the blame for the offense going from a top-10 unit in 2014 and 2015 to one which ranked 25th in 2016. The Giants also committed 27 turnovers, including 20 by Manning (16 interceptions and four fumbles). 'I think Eli needs to do a better job of playing with fast feet, and I think he needs to sit on that back foot in the pocket. We're seeing a lot of man coverage, so the receivers it's going to take a little time for them to get open, so everything may not be rhythmical,' McAdoo said.

Huddle Up: It's very rare for a coach, especially one going into his second year, to make such public comments about a quarterback who has won two Super Bowls, but he isn't wrong. Manning was inaccurate for large parts of the season and appeared to regress in multiple areas despite possessing one elite receiver in Odell Beckham Jr. and a rookie in Sterling Shepard who consistently won in the slot. Manning should be consider a middling QB2 moving forward.

  • Posted: 2/21/2017 12:58pm ET

New York Giants QB Eli Manning has two to three quality years left in the eyes of the Giants, according to Bob Glauber of Newsday. Glauber added that New York has already started to point out a decline in Manning's play. Manning is signed through 2019 with salaries of $13 million, $10.5 million and $11.5 million, respectively, over the next three years. His contract also includes a no-trade clause and $5 million roster bonuses due on the third day of the 2018 and 2019 league years.

Huddle Up: Manning is still producing at a high level. He has thrown for at least 4,000 yards and 25 touchdowns in each of the past three seasons. Nevertheless, age will eventually get the best of him, as it did with his brother. Manning deserves to be drafted in QB2 territory going forward.

  • Posted: 1/8/2017 5:51pm ET

New York Giants QB Eli Manning completed 23 of his 44 pass attempts for 299 yards, one touchdown and an interception in a 38-13 loss to the Green Bay Packers Sunday, Jan. 8.

Huddle Up: Manning's receivers let him down with a few crucial drops, and the Giants couldn't keep pace with Aaron Rodgers and company. Manning is a midrange QB2 heading into 2017.

  • Posted: 12/28/2016 11:32am ET

New York Giants head coach Ben McAdoo said QB Eli Manning will play in the entire game in Week 17 even though the Giants are locked into the No. 5 seed in the playoffs.

Huddle Up: The Giants plan on playing Manning the entire game but things can change during the game, which makes Manning a risky option. Owners could consider Manning as a low-end No. 1 quarterback this week if they do not have a better option to use.

  • Posted: 12/22/2016 9:15pm ET

New York Giants QB Eli Manning completed 38 of his 63 passes for 356 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions in a 24-19 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles Thursday, Dec. 22, setting a franchise record for pass attempts.

Huddle Up: Manning snapped a six-game streak of finishing with under 250 passing yards, but the three turnovers marred his final line. He is best used as a QB2 against Washington in Week 17.

  • Posted: 12/18/2016 1:36pm ET

New York Giants QB Eli Manning was 20-for-28 for 201 yards and two touchdowns in a 17-6 win over the Detroit Lions Sunday, Dec. 18.

Huddle Up: Manning was very effective, throwing a score to Sterling Shepard and then closing the game out with a short TD to Odell Beckham. Manning has been quite effective in recent weeks with wins over Detroit and the Dallas Cowboys.
