Huddle Up: Before you hit the panic button on Chris Johnson's fantasy value, keep in mind that CJ?K tends to score more touchdowns from 50 yards and out than he does from five yards and in so this shouldn't ding his stats significantly. It does, however, give Ivory some value in TD-heavy scoring systems.

Huddle Up: Good news for Ivory's fantasy owners, who will obviously be hoping for a little more than 35 yards on 9 rushes the RB had a week ago against the Ravens.

Huddle Up: Ivory was limited for the second straight day, and is coming off a 9-35 rushing performance in Week 12 following back-to-back double-digit fantasy point games.

Huddle Up: This is an interesting development. The Jets have a pretty good matchup against the Dolphins defense this week, but Ivory hasn't done well with injuries. Keep an eye on his situation this week and be prepared to bench him.

Huddle Up: Ivory's early Week 12 injury was a setback for his fantasy owners as the RB had amassed 237 rushing yards and 2 TDs over his previous 2 games. Monitor his progress this week.

Huddle Up: This was an interesting turn of events in New York. Bilal Powell appeared to have the job largely to himself heading into Week 7. It looks like a bit of a nightmare for fantasy owners if Rex Ryan is going to go with the "hot hand" on a weekly basis.

Huddle Up: The Jets do have the 11th most rushing attempts in the league with 167. Ivory, meanwhile, only has 34 of those rushes for 115 yards -- less than half of starter Bilal Powell's production (87-360)-- but figures to see his usage rise with fellow RB Mike Goodson (knee) getting placed on season-ending IR Tuesday, Oct. 15.

Huddle Up: Bilal Powell will see more touches but with Ivory and Mike Goodson back in the picture, the Jets' running back situation is one to avoid for now, and probably the rest of the year.

Huddle Up: Ivory, who sat out Week 4 with the injury, has been one of the biggest fantasy disappointments of the season, gaining 72 yards on 26 carries so far. In the meantime, Bilal Powell has taken hold of the team's No. 1 RB job, and Mike Goodson is now back from suspension, meaning Ivory has a lot of work to do just to regain a semblance of fantasy relevance.

Huddle Up: It looks like Bilal Powell will have the backfield to himself this week, making him a good flex option.
Posted: 9/23/2013 7:57pm ET
Huddle Up: Ivory has had trouble staying healthy, and those issues combined with Bilal Powell's impressive Week 3 showing (a career-high 149 yards on 27 carries) is bad news for Ivory's fantasy value for the foreseeable future.
Posted: 9/23/2013 5:42pm ET
Huddle Up: Ivory cannot stay healthy. Alex Green doesn't provide much upside. Meanwhile, Bilal Powell is proving to be a big-time fantasy commodity right now.

Huddle Up: Ivory simply can't stay healthy. Meanwhile, Bilal Powell topped 100 yards and looks to be solidifying his hold on the Jets' gig. He may not be as dynamic as Ivory, but he's definitely more durable. So, apparently, is wet toilet tissue.

Huddle Up: The Jets' running back position only offers fantasy value when one of the backs is getting the bulk of the carries--preferably Ivory, the more talented of the two. With Ivory at least getting goal line work in Week 1 he's the better fantasy play; long-term, he's the significantly better play assuming he takes over the entire workload and stays healthy.

Huddle Up: Ivory can solidify his starting case with a strong, injury-free effort this week.
Posted: 8/12/2013 4:53pm ET
Huddle Up: Hopefully Ivory can shake off the hamstring injuries to make it onto the field soon, lest he lose his job for longer than just the preseason.
Posted: 8/12/2013 10:14am ET
Huddle Up: Ivory has missed most of training camp with hamstring problems, missing an opportunity to claim the Jets' feature back job as his own. It'll be nice to see him on the field for a change; it'll be even better if he's able to stay there for any length of time.
Posted: 8/7/2013 9:25am ET
Huddle Up: Ivory has thus far been unable to capitalize on the situation and make any sort of a claim on the starting job the Jets hope to give him. With Joe McKnight injured and Mike Goodson AWOL, Powell has become the Jets' default RB1.
Posted: 8/6/2013 8:22pm ET
Huddle Up: Jets fans and fantasy owners waiting to see what Ivory brings to the Jets' backfield are going to have to have a little patience as the RB's hammy hasn't cooperated all training camp.
Posted: 8/6/2013 12:26pm ET
Huddle Up: Chris Ivory's stock continues to deflate this preseason as his hamstrings continue to hamper him. He is at the back of the depth chart—who wouldn't be after being unable to practice—and might stay there for the foreseeable future. Still, it's hard to see the Jets keeping him there once he gets healthy. All this serves to do is decrease his price.
Posted: 8/6/2013 9:27am ET
Huddle Up: Makes sense; Ivory should have to actually practice as a Jet before Rex Ryan hands him the starting gig. Right now, though, Ivory needs to shake his hamstring issue and get on the field before Powell steals his job for good.
Posted: 8/5/2013 10:17am ET
Huddle Up: With Ivory still out and Joe McKnight sidelined with a concussion, Bilal Powell looks to be the Jets back to have--if you can stomach having a Jet on your fantasy roster at all.
Posted: 8/2/2013 5:21pm ET
Huddle Up: Ivory remains the Jets' projected starter, but the once-high fantasy hopes for the ex-Saint grow a tad dimmer with every workout he misses given his unproven track record and history of injuries.
Posted: 8/1/2013 12:27pm ET
Huddle Up: Not a good start for the injury-prone Ivory, who is nursing a hamstring injury. He remains a potential sleeper in the Jets' run-first offense, but Bilal Powell is looking more and more like either a must-handcuff or an even later-round sleeper candidate.
