Huddle Up: Good news on the Cruz front, as he'll need all the reps he can get in the Giants' revamped offense--especially if he's hoping to replicate the Randall Cobb role in Ben McAdoo's offense.

Huddle Up: The sooner Cruz gets healthy, the sooner he can start demonstrating his considerable skills first-hand for McAdoo--and the more likely McAdoo is to concoct plays to take advantage of Cruz, like the Packers have done for Cobb.

Huddle Up: This is a situation to watch as McAdoo brings a slice of the Packers' passing game east -- maybe just the remedy after the rugged off-season the Giants just got done struggling through.

Huddle Up: No news is good news when it comes to rehab, so as long as Cruz is staying out of the headlines and off the operating table everything's A-OK in New York.

Huddle Up: The Giants have some rebuilding to do with regards to their passing game, so having Cruz on board for offseason activities should help them hit the ground running next fall.

Huddle Up: As expected, Cruz has been shut down for the season, missing the team's final 2 games.
Posted: 12/25/2013 5:15pm ET
Huddle Up: It's unlikely he plays this week, but keep an eye on his situation.

Huddle Up: As expected, a disappointing season has come to an early end for Cruz, who finished with 73 catches for 998 yards and 4 TDs -- but none since Week 4. Rueben Randle will now step into Giants' starting lineup alongside Hakeem Nicks.

Huddle Up: As expected. You should find an alternative.

Huddle Up: Updating an earlier report. It looks like you might need to find an alternative.
Posted: 12/15/2013 10:33pm ET
Huddle Up: Cruz has been a bitter disappointment for much of the season, and now you might be without him for your fantasy championship game if you got there. Plan accordingly.
Posted: 11/8/2013 4:57pm ET
Huddle Up: Cruz has shown steady progress throughout the week after sitting out Wednesday and practicing Thursday while wearing a red, non-contact jersey, so count on him being good to go on game day.
Posted: 10/28/2013 1:43am ET
Huddle Up: It was good to see him back on the field. David Wilson injured his neck and was nearly knocked out for the season.

Huddle Up: Count on having Cruz available, even though he's likely to be at something less than full health.
Posted: 9/5/2013 2:54pm ET
Huddle Up: Cruz has been limited all week, and Friday will be a big day to see if the wideout can possibly do a little more and give his fantasy owners some extra confidence heading into Sunday night's opener in Dallas.

Huddle Up: Excellent news. See? We told you his absence in recent weeks was out of an abundance of caution.

Huddle Up: It's shaping up to be a week of watching and waiting for Cruz's fantasy owners.
Posted: 8/27/2013 8:15pm ET
Huddle Up: There will be some intensely interested fantasy owners on Labor Day as Cruz, on average, has been the 11th WR off the board in fantasy drafts with an ADP of 33.74.
Posted: 8/26/2013 2:52pm ET
Huddle Up: This is good news for Cruz owners who may have been worried about his early-season availability. As we suspected, the Giants were being cautious with their top receiver.
Posted: 8/20/2013 2:02pm ET
Huddle Up: Cruz may well play Week 1 but it's going to be tough to have fantasy faith in the WR if he doesn't take the practice field before then. See what develops, but prepare to have to make a judgment call if you're a Cruz owner.

Huddle Up: Updating the earlier news item. Once again, there is no reason for Cruz to continue playing during the preseason with a bruised heel. Monitor news out of New York in the meantime.
Posted: 8/19/2013 5:15pm ET
Huddle Up: At this point, there is no need for the Giants to rush Cruz back. He obviously knows the offense, and his chemistry with Eli Manning is intact. So long as this bruised heel is not a prolonged issue, you should still draft him with confidence.

Huddle Up: Giants fans and Cruz owners received a dose of good news after the wideout's injury scare. The G-Men do have decent depth at receiver -- as long as fellow starter Hakeem Nicks is playing -- but there's definitely not another Cruz waiting around in the wings.
