Minnesota Vikings QB Sam Bradford (undisclosed) was helped off the field against the Dallas Cowboys Thursday, Dec. 1. He was replaced by QB Shaun Hill.

Huddle Up: Bradford took a hard shot and appeared to be in pain as he walked off the field. Given his injury history, the situation needs to be monitored.

  • Posted: 9/11/2016 10:52pm ET

Minnesota Vikings QB Shaun Hill started and was able to pick up the win in Week 1 against the Tennessee Titans. However, head coach Mike Zimmer said coaches will huddle before deciding whether Hill or QB Sam Bradford will start in Week 2 against the Green Bay Packers.

Huddle Up: Hill didn't do much statistically, and Bradford has a lot more talent and fantasy upside. For the receivers, Bradford would help their fantasy appeal in Week 2.

  • Posted: 9/9/2016 3:50pm ET

Minnesota Vikings QB Shaun Hill is expected to be the starting quarterback for Week 1, according to sources. The team has not announced if Hill or QB Sam Bradford will start the game.

Huddle Up: Hill likely will start since Bradford has spent just a week with the team and may need some more time to learn the offense. Hill is not a great fantasy option since team likely will run the ball often in Week 1.

  • Posted: 9/5/2016 11:58am ET

Updating a previous report, Minnesota Vikings QBs Sam Bradford and Shaun Hill will both receive first-team repetitions in practice this week. Head coach Mike Zimmer has not officially named a starter for Week 1 yet.

Huddle Up: Either Bradford or Hill would make for a cheap, sleeper option in daily formats for Week 1. The Vikings could ride Adrian Peterson pretty heavily, though, as they've done every year. Neither Bradford nor Hill should be regarded as a QB1 in seasonal leagues.

Minnesota Vikings QB Shaun Hill likely will be the starting quarterback Week 1 against the Tennessee Titans since QB Sam Bradford will only start practicing with the Vikings this week. Bradford may be ready to take over the starting job in Week 2.

Huddle Up: Hill likely will only start for a week or two until Bradford has a solid understanding of the offense. Hill probably will not be asked to throw much against the Titans and will not be a strong fantasy option. Owners in daily fantasy leagues could consider Hill depending on his price.

Minnesota Vikings QB Shaun Hill is the likely candidate to take over under center with QB Teddy Bridgewater (knee) expected to miss the 2016 season due to a torn anterior cruciate ligament and other structural damage. He has never started more than 10 games in any season and he never has reached the postseason.

Huddle Up: Hill is a significant downgrade from Bridgewater, and the injury hurts the fantasy appeal of Stefon Diggs, Laquon Treadwell and Kyle Rudolph, among others. Hill is only worth monitoring for the first few games, and certainly only draftable in deeper leagues which require two starting signal callers. Expect the Vikings to also pursue veteran help via trade or free agency.

St. Louis Rams QB Sam Bradford is out for the season after an MRI revealed a torn left anterior cruciate ligament. Barring a trade, Shaun Hill is expected to open the season as the Rams' starting QB.

Huddle Up: The 34-year-old Hill has played in 37 career games, compiling a 13-13 record as a starter and throwing for 41 TDs and 23 interceptions. His last start, however, came back in 2010 with the Lions. Hill is a step down from Bradford, but is an upgrade over Kellen Clemens, who started 9 games for the Rams last season, and the team will likely rely on Zac Stacy and the running game more than originally thought.

  • Posted: 5/20/2016 11:23am ET

St. Louis Rams QB Shaun Hill will remain the starter, according to head coach Jeff Fisher. Recent speculation placed the Rams the center of trade talks for a new quarterback, but Fisher said the team is committed to Hill.

Huddle Up: Trade rumors persist -- lately involving Philly backup Mark Sanchez -- but even if the Rams stick with Hill, at least he's a fantasy upgrade over Kellen Clemens, who started 9 games and threw only 8 TD passes after Sam Bradford went down last season.

  • Posted: 5/20/2016 11:23am ET

St. Louis Rams QB Austin Davis completed 16 of 23 passes for 192 yards and an interception in Week 1 against the Minnesota Vikings, coming on for the injured QB Shaun Hill (quadriceps).

Huddle Up: Hill, starting after the season-ending preseason injury to Sam Bradford, was ineffective in one half of action before leaving with the injury. Don't be surprised if the Rams start quarterback shopping on Monday.

  • Posted: 5/20/2016 11:23am ET

St. Louis Rams QB Shaun Hill (quadriceps) may not play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Sunday, Sept. 14, as he has a strained quadriceps.

Huddle Up: Austin Davis would likely get the start against Tampa Bay, with Case Keenum being a longshot. Either way, the Rams offense is in some trouble both this week and going forward.

  • Posted: 5/20/2016 11:23am ET

St. Louis Rams QB Shaun Hill (quadriceps) was removed from the game in Week 1 against the Minnesota Vikings due to a strained left quadriceps and not because of his poor performance, head coach Jeff Fisher confirmed Monday, Sept. 8. Hill went 8-for-13 for 81 yards and an interception before departing late in the first quarter. Hill did not return to the game because it was decided that he could only make his injury worse by playing. Fisher said that if Hill is healthy, there is no quarterback controversy.

Huddle Up: Neither Hill or second-year backup Austin Davis (16-of-23, 192 yards, interception) could get the Rams into the end zone, and the challenge won't get any easier this week against what's sure to be an agitated Buccaneer defense in Tampa. You're going to have to stay on top of injury reports if you're thinking about using Hill next Sunday.

St. Louis Rams QB Shaun Hill (thigh) did not practice Thursday, Sept. 11 because of a thigh injury, but offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer said Hill might not have to practice this week in order to be able to play Sunday, Sept. 14, because of his experience and knowledge of the offense.

Huddle Up: Chances are you're not counting on a Rams' QB in Week 2, but just in case, you're likely going to have to stay on top of updates through Sunday morning.

  • Posted: 5/20/2016 11:23am ET

St. Louis Rams QB Austin Davis or QB Shaun Hill (thigh) could come down to a game-time decision in Week 3 against the Dallas Cowboys, according to head coach Jeff Fisher.

Huddle Up: If you're somehow looking at starting a Rams' QB, it looks like you're going to have to check in with the Huddle's Game-Day Inactives, Injury & Weather report Sunday morning.

  • Posted: 5/20/2016 11:23am ET

St. Louis Rams QB Shaun Hill will start Sunday, Nov. 16, against the Denver Broncos, replacing the benched Austin Davis.

Huddle Up: After topping 300 passing yards and throwing for three TDs in two of his first three starts, it's been a struggle of late for Davis, who's turned the ball over 12 times this season. Going back to the veteran Hill, though, shouldn't have much of a fantasy effect, though, on the rest of the Rams' skill players.
