Seattle Seahawks CB Brandon Browner was added to the 53 man roster Monday, Dec. 31, after serving a four game suspension. Browner is hoping to return to the starting lineup, but head coach Pete Carroll is concerned about rust. 'I talked to him today,' Carroll said. 'He's here, he has worked out real hard and his weight's in shape. He feels fast and all of that, he's going to have fresh legs relative to guys who are 16 games into it. But we've got to see how he does, and fortunately we've got guys who can play. If he's not quite right or if he doesn't get off to a good start during the week, we've got other guys who can play for him. But we're going to give him a heck of a chance to play. We're thrilled to get him back, so we'll see what happens.'
Huddle Up: The suspension situation of their 2 starting CBs played out perfectly for the Seahawks who saw Richard Sherman win his appeal and now have Browner back in time for the postseason.

Updating a previous item, Seattle Seahawks CB Brandon Browner's four-game suspension will be effectively immediately, beginning in Week 14. He won't be paid during his suspension.
Huddle Up: This is good news for the Arizona offense, though Larry Fitzgerald will likely draw Richard Sherman in coverage for much of the day. It will be interesting to see if/when Sherman will drop or lose his appeal; it seems the Seahawks are trying to mitigate the suspensions by not losing both cornerbacks at the same time.

Seattle Seahawks CBs Brandon Browner and Richard Sherman are each facing four-game suspensions for violating the NFL's performance-enhancement drug policy, according to various reports Sunday.
Huddle Up: This would be a big, stretch-run blow to one of the league's top defenses. Both players are refuting the charges, so see what develops in the coming week.
