ESPN.com's Josh Weinfuss doesn't believe Arizona Cardinals CB Patrick Peterson will hold out for a new contract this offseason, as he heads into his fourth and final year of his rookie deal. Peterson said his representatives haven't heard back from the team yet about a new deal. However, Weinfuss says Peterson told him he loves playing football and doesn't like to be away from the field, which means he'd be unlikely to hold out and miss training camp time. Peterson can always play another season and approach a contract extension before the 2015 season, too.
Huddle Up: We'll see if Peterson's outlook is swayed by the deals signed in the FA CB market this offseason with several big names available, including Aqib Talib, Alterraun Verner and Sam Shields.

Arizona Cardinals CB Patrick Peterson has spent time working with the offense during training camp. QB Carson Palmer said the team has a pretty big offense package for Peterson.
Huddle Up: This is one of those August tidbits that ends up not mattering much once the season starts. Before Arizona worries about getting Peterson the ball, it needs to take care of real offensive weapons like Larry Fitzgerald, Michael Floyd and Robert Housler. Once the season kicks off, Peterson will run a reverse and a go route every now and then and that's it. Peterson makes his money playing corner and returning punts. His impact on offense will be minimal.
