Huddle Up: Williams is battling Joseph Randle for a roster spot. Despite the fact that Randle was underwhelming when given an opportunity last season, he appears to have the edge over Williams. The former Virgina Tech star could be nearing the end of an injury-riddled career if he gets cut by the Cowboys.

Huddle Up: In other words, we're talking nothing to lose for the 'Boys and incentives to the max for the 2011 2nd-round pick, who simply has been unable to gain any kind of health traction, missing all but 5 games in his first 3 pro seasons.

Huddle Up: Things obviously didn't work out for Williams in the desert with only 5 games played and 164 rushing yards in 3 seasons, but there's little risk for the Cowboys in kicking the tires of the former second-round pick.

Huddle Up: The often-injured 2011 2nd-round pick's' 3-year run in the desert netted 3 starts and 58 carries for 164 yards.

Huddle Up: Williams' injury history suggests that even if he does get a shot he can't be banked on. The Cardinals found other backfield options last season in Andre Ellington and Stepfan Taylor, so Williams will be competing for a backup gig at best.
