St. Louis Rams TE Lance Kendricks is expected to have a prominent role in offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer's offense based how he was used during offseason workouts. Kendricks said he watched film on himself last season and saw that most of the mistakes he made during the season was when he was tired. "The main thing I saw was a lot of times when I was tired was when I made my most mistakes," Kendricks said. "Just being able to stay focused and fight through that and compete and go out there and just perform when I am tired was my main thing I wanted to do better. When you get tired, you can forget things and I would have a mental error here or there so I think most of it just came from fatigue." Kendricks added five pounds of muscle this offseason to improve his stamina and is looking to be more focused during games.
Huddle Up: Schottenheimer got plenty of use out of Dustin Keller in New York, which also bodes well for Kendricks this season. More opportunities, a year of experience, and better stamina make Code Red an intriguing sleeper tight end this season.
