Huddle Up: Definitely something to monitor in sizing up the fantasy draft stock of one of the top PPR RBs in the league.

Huddle Up: Definitely expect to see Vereen, who's been a limited participant in practice all week.

Huddle Up: Vereen will likely be held for the playoffs, which means Stevan Ridley and LeGarrette Blount will split carries against Buffalo's porous rush defense. Both make for solid flex plays this week, as each player could find the end zone.

Huddle Up: Vereen has been limited the past 2 days in practice and appears headed for a game-time decision. Check the Huddle's Game-Day Inactives. Injury and Weather report Sunday for the final green or red light.

Huddle Up: Vereen's Week 17 status remains very much up in the air, so see what the RB can do Friday and brace for a game-time decision Sunday.

Huddle Up: Vereen is likely headed for a game-time decision. He's killed fantasy owners the last two weeks and now Vereen is highly questionable. Leave him on your bench regardless if he plays or not.

Huddle Up: Vereen had to exit in 2nd quarter of the Pats' Week 16 win and would seem iffy for Week 17, but see what develops later this week in practice.

Huddle Up: He should mitigate the loss of Rob Gronkowski. Vereen is PPR gold.

Huddle Up: So much for the reports that Vereen would be "eased" back into action in his return from a broken wrist as he was targeted a game-high 11 times as the focal point of the Pats' passing game. He now has 15 receptions in 2 games this season and is a must-start in PPR leagues.

Huddle Up: In case you were waiting to see if he was starting, go ahead and insert him into your lineups. We have no idea what "eased" means, though, so start him at your own risk.

Huddle Up: Vereen remains a question mark for Week 11, and Steven Ridley's fantasy owners in particular are bracing for more N.E. backfield chaos. Vereen, though, will have the most impact as a pass-catcher, giving Tom Brady's fantasy stock a nudge.

Huddle Up: Vereen hasn't played since the opening week of the season, and while his return will give Tom Brady a valuable pass-catching target, it will also further cloud the Pats' already crowded backfield of Stevan Ridley, Brandon Bolden and LeGarrette Blount.

Huddle Up: Another sign that Vereen is making good progress but he won't muddle the Pats' backfield until at least Week 11 as he's eligible to come off the IR/DTR list Week 9 and the Pats are on bye Week 10.
Posted: 9/10/2013 6:50pm ET
Huddle Up: That means the Pats' leading Week 1 rusher won't be eligible to return until after the Pats' bye in Week 10 -- a tough blow to fantasy GMs who were hoping to have him back in October.

Huddle Up: Just as things were looking up for Vereen, this news hits. Stevan Ridley gets a reprieve from the doghouse as the Patriots have no better options. Of course, Bill Belichick could just troll fantasy owners and give LeGarrette Blount 25 carries this week, but that seems especially cruel.
