Baltimore Ravens WR Torrey Smith said he wants to, and will elevate his game in light of WR Anquan Boldin getting traded. 'Obviously, I want to elevate my game and I will elevate my game,' Smith said. 'I'm looking forward to the challenge.'

Huddle Up: Smith was no great shakes in PPR leagues with only 49 receptions, but he made the most of those catches with a 17.4 yards-per-reception average to rank fourth in the league. He also hauled in 8 scoring passes to pace the Ravens. Smith still be the team's home-run hitter, but he'll need to contribute more on short and intermediate routes next season to become the complete wideout the Ravens need.

Baltimore Ravens WR Torrey Smith (concussion) was limited in practice Friday, Dec. 21, and is questionable for Week 16.

Huddle Up: The Baltimore Sun is reporting that Smith is expected to play, but it's always extra murky when it comes to concussions, and those fantasy owners hoping to start Smith should definitely double-check the WR's official status on Sunday.

Baltimore Ravens' WR Torrey Smith (concussion) and OG Marshal Yanda (ankle) and returned to practice Thursday, Dec. 20.

Huddle Up: Definitely a good sign for Smith, who has deeply disappointed for 5 catches for 68 yards and no scores over the past 3 games, but the wideout will still need to clear the post-concussion exams this week to be able to play in Week 16.

Baltimore Ravens WR Torrey Smith (concussion) did not practice Wednesday, Dec. 19.

Huddle Up: Check his status throughout the week. Concussions usually mean a missed game or two at the minimum, so make alternative plans now if you haven't already.

Baltimore Ravens WR Torrey Smith left in the third quarter of Sunday's Week 15 game and did not return.

Huddle Up: The back of Smith's helmet smacked the ground as he came down from trying to make a leaping grab along the sideline, and he staggered trying to get back on his feet before regaining his balance and heading into the lockerroom. Smith finished with only 1 catch for 14 yards -- his third straight disappointing outing.

Baltimore Ravens WR Torrey Smith, who had just one catch for seven yards despite being targeted seven times in Week 11 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, was double teamed with both outside guys, according to head coach John Harbaugh.

Huddle Up: If double-teaming Smith is what it takes to keep the Ravens' offense out of the end zone -- as was the case in Week 11 -- then upcoming opponents are sure to try the same tactic. At the same time, not many foes will be able to present a defense as stout as the Steelers'.

Baltimore Ravens WR Torrey Smith (chest) was limited in practice Thursday, Nov. 15.

Huddle Up: Smith was limited for a second consecutive day, but see what he's able to do Friday.

Baltimore Ravens WR Torrey Smith had a huge game in Week 3 against the New England Patriots, hauling in two touchdowns. He finished with six receptions for 127 yards, less than 24 hours since the death of his brother Tevin Jones in a motorcycle accident in Virginia. "It was tough emotionally. It's part of life, and due to my teammates and my family and friends, I'll be able to get over it," Smith said.

Huddle Up: Smith's performance given the circumstances was nothing short of amazing, and indicative of what he's capable of as the Ravens' go-to receiver.

Posted: 8/24/2012 11:13am et

Baltimore Ravens WR Torrey Smith caught eight passes for 103 yards against the Jacksonville Jaguars Thursday, Aug. 23.

Huddle Up: That's the most balls Smith has caught in a game during his Ravens' career, including the monster three-TD game that put him on the fantasy map. Baltimore is still a run-heavy team, but the Joe Flacco-to-Torrey Smith combination is developing nicely and makes Smith a WR3 with significant fantasy upside.

Baltimore Ravens WR Torrey Smith (ankle) and TE Ed Dickson (shoulder) could miss "a few weeks" according to John Harbaugh.

Huddle Up: "They just made me put ice on it," Smith said. "I’m all right." Dickson has a subluxed shoulder but X-rays were negative. TE Dennis Pitta is already out with a broken hand. The Ravens will probably sign a tight end off the street and the only name on the market worth mentioning is Jeremy Shockey.
