Arizona Cardinals TE Rob Housler had a season-high 57 yards and his first career touchdown in the team's Week 10 win over the Houston Texans. Housler was slowed by an ankle injury in the preseason that had him get off to a slow start this year, but now that the offense appears to finally be clicking, he may be involved more. 'It should be a great confidence boost for him,' head coach Bruce Arians said. 'Carson was looking for him a number of times.'

Huddle Up: 12 of Housler's 18 catches have come over the Cards' last 3 games as he creeps onto the radar screens for those searching for TE answers in deeper leagues.

Arizona Cardinals TE Rob Housler (ankle) is expected to make his season debut against the New Orleans Saints in Week 3 after missing the first two games with a high ankle sprain. 'It's one thing running - he can run - it's another thing pushing against big bodies with those ankles,' head coach Bruce Arians stated. 'You never know how that's going to turn out.'

Huddle Up: Arizona TEs Jim Dray and Kory Sperry have combined for 8 catches for 68 yards in the first 2 games, but Housler is a definite upgrade after leading all NFC West TEs with 45 catches last season.

Arizona Cardinals TE Rob Housler did not practice Wednesday, Sept. 4. Head coach Bruce Arians said Housler is considered 'day to day.'

Huddle Up: Housler has an ankle injury that is keeping him off the field. His availability for Arizona's regular season opener remains unclear.

Arizona Cardinals TE Rob Housler is expected to be questionable for the regular season opener Sept. 8 against the St. Louis Rams after suffering a high ankle sprain in the team's preseason game against the San Diego Chargers. Housler was optimistic about his prospects for Week 1, but he needs to show progress over the next week.

Huddle Up: High ankle sprains tend to require a longer recovery time, so don't be optimistic about Housler's availability for the start of the season. Add that to the lack of opportunities tight ends traditionally see in a Bruce Arians offense and the shine is off Housler as a sleeper candidate.

Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians said TE Rob Housler (ankle) is dealing with a high ankle sprain. He is considered day-to-day at this point but the team hopes he will be ready for Week 1.

Huddle Up: High ankle sprains are tricky. It hasn't been a great preseason for Housler, who has one catch on three targets this preseason. Draft someone else as your second tight end if you must have one.
