Dallas Cowboys RB DeMarco Murray rushed 18 times for a game-high 146 yards and caught 2 passes for 9 yards Monday, Dec. 9 in a 42-28 loss to the Chicago Bears.

Huddle Up: Even though he failed to find the end zone, Murray finished with double-digit fantasy points for the 4th straight game in accounting for 155 of the Cowboys' 328 total yards. He remains a strong start -- as does any RB going against the soft Bears' run defense.

The Dallas Cowboys plan to ride RB DeMarco Murray as much as they can after losing RB Lance Dunbar (knee). 'DeMarco Murray is our lead back, has been our lead back all year long, has done an excellent job for us, did a really good job in the game the other day again,' head coach Jason Garrett said Tuesday, Dec. 3. 'He'll be the lead dog. The other guys, (RBs Joseph Randle and Phillip Tanner) will have to step up if they have an opportunity if DeMarco can't go.'

Huddle Up: Murray has had at least 17 touches and 95 scrimmage yards in each of his last 3 games and has scored 4 TDs over that span. Throw in the more-than-favorable Week 14 matchup against the porous Chicago run defense, and you have the makings of one of Week 14's fantasy-stud RBs.

Dallas Cowboys RB DeMarco Murray carried 17 times for 63 yards and 3 TDs and added 5 receptions for 39 yards Thursday, Nov. 28 in a 31-24 win over the Oakland Raiders.

Huddle Up: Murray delivered a Thanksgiving treat with his first multiple-TD game of his career and is heating up at just the right time for his fantasy owners with 3 straight contests scoring in double-digit fantasy points.

Dallas Cowboys RB DeMarco Murray (knee) is expected to play in Week 8.

Huddle Up: Barring an aggravation of Murray's sprained MCL in practice he should be back to getting the bulk of the work in Dallas. Thanks for the memories, Joseph Randle.

Updating a previous report, Dallas Cowboys RB DeMarco Murray (knee) was limited in practice Wednesday, Oct. 23, and he was wearing shoulder pads and sweatpants.

Huddle Up: Murray is going to try and play against the Lions the this week. If he can't go, Joseph Randle will get his second straight straight start. Murray is a RB2, while Randle comes in as a strong flex play in most formats.

Dallas Cowboys RB DeMarco Murray (knee) participated in some individual drills during practice Wednesday, Oct. 23.

Huddle Up: Whether he will be back this week or not remains to be seen, but this is a positive sign.

The feeling is that Dallas Cowboys RB DeMarco Murray (knee) will try to play in Week 8 against the Detroit Lions, according to beat writer Bryan Broaddus.

Huddle Up: Murray missed Week 7's win over the Eagles, but fantasy owners should know what to expect from Murray very quickly this week by what he's able to do or not able to do in practice.

Dallas Cowboys RB DeMarco Murray (knee) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 18, and is listed as doubtful for Week 7.

Huddle Up: Murray is almost certainly out for Sunday. Expect Joseph Randle to start and receive the majority of touches against the Eagles. He is a decent flex play this week.

Dallas Cowboys RB DeMarco Murray (knee) was not participating in the portion of practice open to the media Thursday, Oct. 17.

Huddle Up: It's looking as if those who swooped up rookie Joseph Randle on the waiver wire this week will have him as a RB2-3/flex option this week with Muuray and Lance Dunbar very iffy at this point.

Dallas Cowboys RB DeMarco Murray (knee) is preparing as if he will play in Week 7 against the Philadelphia Eagles. 'I am running, doing some good things with (trainer) Britt (Brown). We haven't said which way, what we're going to do yet. I think it all depends on how comfortable I am. We were able to do some things today and it felt good,' Murray said. Owner Jerry Jones said Murray could sit out this week and return in Week 8 to face the Detroit Lions.

Huddle Up: Murray and Lance Dunbar have already been ruled out for Sunday, so it would be a shock if he suits up. Rookie Joseph Randle will start in Murray's place and while Dallas will likely throw the ball a lot against Philadelphia, he's a decent flex play this week.

Dallas Cowboys RB DeMarco Murray (knee) is dealing with a left medial collateral ligament sprain in his knee, and he'll undergo an MRI exam Monday, Oct. 14. Murray was injured in the second quarter against the Washington Redskins and entered the day ranked fifth in the league with 399 rushing yards. It's unknown if Murray will be able to play in Week 7 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Huddle Up: An MCL sprain is no jokeā€”he has a torn ligament, the question is severity. Hopefully it's mild, but we have been through this before with Murray. Expect him to be out at least a week or two.

Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett said the team needs to put more of an emphasis on the running game in order to balance out the offense after their 17-16 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 2. RB DeMarco Murray had only 12 carries against the Chiefs and didn't run the ball after the 2:12 mark in the third quarter. 'Obviously we want to have more balance, not only more balance at the end of the game but more balance throughout the game,' Garrett said. 'We have to run the ball more than 16 times in the game, and we have to be able to run it throughout the game. We just simply have to do a better job of that.' The Cowboys are averaging 62 yards rushing through the first two weeks.

Huddle Up: Another week, another "we need to run more" statement coming out of Big D. In the meantime, DeMarco Murray's fantasy owners are left twisting in the wind after the RB was limited to 25 yards on 12 rushes this past Sunday. You're more than likely still staring Murray, depending on what else you have, but don't hold your breath waiting for the pass-first Cowboys to switch gears.

The Dallas Cowboys ran 51 pass plays and just 21 running plays despite never trailing in the Week 1 game against the New York Giants. Head coach Jason Garrett said the team would like to be more balanced going forward, which might be even better news for RB DeMarco Murray. He still posted 86 yards on 20 carries, including five runs for 32 yards in the fourth quarter. "You want to be balanced, attack them downhill, attack them different ways and have it all work together," Garrett said.

Huddle Up: The Cowboys have been talking about more balance for several years, but it's never panned out. Swapping out Garrett for Bill Callahan as play-caller was expected to do the trick, but a 51/21 split suggests nothing has changed. So best take a "we'll believe it when we see it" approach to these latest proclamations.

Dallas Cowboys RB DeMarco Murray is excited about the possible renewed commitment to the running back, and he is eager to play out of the one-back alignment with a chance to run more and maximize his potential. When he gets the ball this year, it is expected to be in a one-back, two-tight end alignment since the team no longer has a fullback on the roster. "It's something I'm looking forward to," Murray said Sunday, July 21. "When you get guys spread out, its going to be hard for them to have seven or eight guys in the (box) so its going to open a lot of running lanes."

Huddle Up: With Bill Callahan taking over play-calling duties from Jason Garrett, the expectation is that the Cowboys will be at least a little more inclined to run the football. If Murray can stay healthy, something that has eluded him throughout his career, he'll have a real opportunity to put up helpful fantasy numbers.

Dallas Cowboys RB DeMarco Murray (hamstring) said he's '100 percent, ready to go' heading into training camp later this month.

Huddle Up: Murray should be good to go after having the whole offseason to recover and recuperate, but how he'll hold up once the season starts is the key question here after he's missed 9 of 32 games so far in his career.

Posted: 5/28/2013 12:25pm et

Dallas Cowboys RB DeMarco Murray (hamstring) will miss another week of organized team activities this week with a hamstring injury.

Huddle Up: Red flags continue to abound with Murray, who has missed 9 games over his first 2 NFL seasons, including 6 this past year with a foot injury.
