New York Giants WR Jerrel Jernigan (foot) has been placed on season-ending Reserve/Injured Tuesday, Sept. 16.

Huddle Up: Tough break for Jernigan, who will finish the year with 6 catches for 40 yards. Going forward, though, this figures to mean more targets for Preston Parker, Corey Washington and first-round pick Odell Beckham Jr., if his hammy ever gets right.

New York Giants WR Jerrel Jernigan has been starting at wide receiver opposite WR Rueben Randle with WR Odell Beckham Jr. (hamstring) sidelined. WR Victor Cruz is working out of the slot in three-wide receiver formations. WRs Corey Washington and Preston Parker are the other receivers on the roster.

Huddle Up: Caught between Cruz, Randle and the 2 rookies, Jernigan is the forgotten WR in the Big Apple, but those in deeper leagues shouldn't forget his fast finish last season, recording 19 of his 29 receptions, 237 of his 329 yards and both of his TD catches in the final 3 games.

New York Giants WR Jerrel Jernigan is expected to compete with rookie WR Odell Beckham Jr. (hamstring) for a starting spot.

Huddle Up: Beckham is not helping himself by missing time with a hamstring injury. Jernigan has been a solid contributor and offers Eli Manning and the Giants a nice fallback plan.

New York Giants WR Jerrel Jernigan finished the regular season with a first-half touchdown reception and 49-yard touchdown run in the Week 17 game against the Washington Redskins.

Huddle Up: This might be a preview of things to come for Jernigan in New York. With Hakeem Nicks possibly gone, Jernigan could become the new No. 3 in that offense behind Victor Cruz and Rueben Randle.
