Indianapolis Colts RB Delone Carter has not been participating in organized team activities because of recent shoulder surgery.
Huddle Up: At the end of the 2012 season , it was an ankle injury that sidelined Carter for the final 4 weeks of the season, and he finished with only 122 yards and 3 TDs on 32 carries. He could see goalline work this season, but should be no better than third fiddle behind Donald Brown and Vick Ballard.

Indianapolis Colts interim head coach Bruce Arians said Tuesday, Nov. 6, that RB Delone Carter needs to continue to work hard if he wants more responsibilities. 'He just needs to continue to work on the little things, his attention to detail as an all-around player,' Arians said. 'He can run the football. You just can't be a one-trick pony.'
Huddle Up: Rookie Vick Ballard clearly has surpassed Carter in the Colts' RB hierarchy, chiefly due to his pass-catching ability, which was most clearly on display during his 16-yard, game-winning catch, run and dive in OT during Week 8.
