Oakland Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie said he would like to see RB Taiwan Jones become a cornerback next season because he believes Jones has the skill set to play the position. McKenzie said it will not be easy for Jones to change positions but believes he will be able to make the change.
Huddle Up: This is a nice way of saying Jones isn't working out at running back. Of course, fantasy owners banking on him last season as the handcuff to Darren McFadden already had a pretty good idea of this.

Oakland Raiders RB Taiwan Jones took the first-team repetitions at practice Wednesday, Nov. 7, with both RBs Darren McFadden (ankle) and Mike Goodson (ankle) sidelined. Jones has been limited with knee, ribs and hamstring issues, but head coach Dennis Allen expects him to step up and play with the injuries to their other runners. 'I feel like I've been waiting forever (for Jones to play a bigger role). I can't wait. He does amazing things in practice and he's by far the fastest person on the field and he will be the fastest person on the field on Sunday. And not that you want to see guys get banged up, but I'm excited about the opportunity he's getting,' QB Carson Palmer said.
Huddle Up: Jones has all of 17 NFL rushing attempts to his name, with only coming this season. The 6-foot, 195-pound back does have speed, but with only 3 career catches, he's not the receiving threat that FB/RB Marcel Reece is, leaving Reece as the much better fantasy option if this week if McFadden and Goodson sit out as expected.

Oakland Raiders RB Taiwan Jones left practice Sunday, Aug. 5, with a hamstring injury. Jones does not think the injury will keep him out for long.
Huddle Up: Seems like we've heard this before. Jones is the leading candidate to serve as Darren McFadden's change of pace/backup, but right now the oft-injured McFadden is healthy while Jones and Mike Goodson, his competition for wingman duties, are nicked. With an expected 500 carries available in Greg Knapp's offense, the Oakland backfield projects to be a battle of attrition.
