Baltimore Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome said QB Keith Wenning will compete with QB Tyrod Taylor for the team's backup quarterback job.
Huddle Up: Taylor, a 2011 6th-round pick who's never made an NFL start and has only 35 career passing attempts, will face some serious competition in Wenning, a 6th-round selection out of Ball State who is more of a pure pocket passer and ranks in the MAC's all-time top 5 in most statistical categories.

Baltimore Ravens QB Tyrod Taylor knows he will face competition to hold on to the backup quarterback job. 'Yeah, we talked about it, and there's competition across the league every day,' Taylor said. 'You've got to compete for your job to stay there. We know where we stand. I'm trying to get better every day. Competition -- that's the name of this game.'
Huddle Up: Taylor,a 6th-round pick in 2011, has attempted 35 passes and rushed 23 times for 139 yards in 3 seasons backing up Joe Flacco, and it's definitely not out of the realm that the Ravens might draft a QB or bring in a veteran free agent.
