Oakland Raiders TE David Ausberry could be a receiving threat this upcoming season, according to head coach Dennis Allen. Ausberry said he feels more comfortable in the offense, after missing the entire 2013 season with a shoulder injury.
Huddle Up: The Raiders have talked about Ausberry's potential before, but nothing much has materialized. However, with a quarterback in Matt Schaub who is familiar with throwing to the tight end, maybe this will finally be the season.

Oakland Raiders TE David Ausberry (shoulder) took part in the team's voluntary workout program. He is expected to compete with TE Mychal Rivera for the starting job, and the team also could bring in a veteran to compete after cuts are made in training camp and the preseason.
Huddle Up: It's a make-or-break season for Ausberry, a seventh-round pick in 2011 who missed all of last season due to a preseason shoulder injury. He's shown some flashes -- mainly in practice -- but has done little in the games that count, catching 9 passes for 106 yards.
