Indianapolis Colts TE Weslye Saunders has been suspended for the first eight games of the 2013 season for a second violation of the NFL's policy performance-enhancing substances. He was suspended last year for four games for violating the PED policy as well. He's eligible to participate in training camp and the preseason. After the team's final exhibition game, he will be barred from team facilities until Nov. 4.
Huddle Up: Saunders, a 2011 undrafted free agent from South Carolina, was suspended for the first 4 games of the 2012 season for a positive PED test attributed to Addrerall, according to a Yahoo! Sports report, leading to his release from the Steelers. He was then signed by the Colts, and he has only 6 career receptions for 44 yards and 1 TD in 25 career games. He was, however, projected as a No. 3 TE at best in Indy behind second-year standouts Coby Fleener and Dwayne Allen, so fantasy GMs won't be missing much if anything.
