Minnesota Vikings WR Jarius Wright had four dropped balls in 2012, and he had a memorable damaging missed block in the playoff game against the Green Bay Packers. Still, he has a tremendous skill set, and his role in 2013 and beyond likely hinges on the future of WR Percy Harvin with the team.

Huddle Up: Wright showed flashes of being able to pick up at least some of Harvin's slack after Percy went down with an injury. And if contract or attitude issues lead the Vikings to part ways with Harvin, Wright will be at the front of the group looking to replace his numbers. At present the Vikings say they hope to keep Harvin, but not only is he in the final year of his contract but there is also his injury history and reported clashing with the Vikings' coaching staff that could lead to his departure from Minnesota.

Minnesota Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier would not say if WR Jarius Wright would be active for Week 12 even though he caught three passes for 65 yards and one touchdown in Week 10. Wright was active for that game because WR Percy Harvin (ankle) sat out but he is expected to return for Week 12.

Huddle Up: The rookie wideout made a good first impression, but it may not have been good enough according to the man with the (game) plan in Minneapolis. Also given QB Christian Ponder's up-and-down play it would be hard to trust Wright outside of the deepest of leagues going forward if Harvin returns as expected in Week 12.

Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave plans to use the speed of WR Jarius Wright to the team's advantage early and often. 'He's quick. Very quick. I'm looking forward to finding out how his quickness is going to translate against NFL defenses,' Musgrave said. 'He's got great balance. He can get in and out of breaks. And he's lightning quick. We're hoping he's a super man-to-man beater for us.'

Huddle Up: Minnesota took the ex-Razorback with the 118th pick. Wright is smallish but he ran a 4.42 and even more impressive 4.03 in the 20-yard shuttle. He also popped a 39' vertical. Wright's been compared to Steve Smith.
