Denver Broncos RB C.J. Anderson has averaged 27.25 carries in the last four games, and his workload may need to be monitored by the team as the playoffs approach. However, it helps that Anderson started his midseason run with a completely fresh body since not being a featured back since his sophomore year in college. Denver had planned to cut Anderson's carries in Week 15 against the San Diego Chargers, but QB Peyton Manning falling ill changed the game plan. In the last two weeks, Anderson has 50 carries for 143 yards for a 2.9 yards-per-carry average. Before that, he was averaging 5.4 yards per carry. RB Ronnie Hillman (foot) is hoping to return in Week 16 against the Cincinnati Bengals, which could take some pressure off Anderson.

Huddle Up: Even if he has some of his workload trimmed, Anderson remains a must-start in all fantasy formats as the lead back in what's become one of the league's more run-committed offenses.

Denver Broncos RB C.J. Anderson (ankle) practiced in full Friday, Dec. 12, and is probable for Week 15 against the San Diego Chargers.

Huddle Up: Green light for Anderson owners after the RB caused some consternation by sitting out Wednesday's practice. Anderson should again see the majority of the RB touches with Juwan Thompson mixed in.

Denver Broncos RB C.J. Anderson (ankle) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Dec. 10.

Huddle Up: Despite his three-touchdown day Sunday, Anderson was in and out of the game. At this point, there's no reason not to expect him to play Sunday in San Diego, but backup Juwon Thompson might be in line for extra work even if he does.

Denver Broncos RBs C.J. Anderson and Juwan Thompson will serve as the top two running backs heading into Week 12 against the Miami Dolphins with RBs Ronnie Hillman (foot) and Montee Ball (groin) sidelined at least two or three weeks.

Huddle Up: Anderson only rushed for 29 yards on nine carries in Week 11, but he did all right for his PPR league owners with a career-high 8 catches for 86 yards. The Broncos say they are committed to running more in the coming weeks so definitely use Anderson if you need a RB2/flex option.

Denver Broncos RB C.J. Anderson (concussion) is participating in practice Thursday, Aug. 14 after earlier in the day being cleared to resume action. Anderson suffered a concussion last week in the Broncos' preseason opener.

Huddle Up: Anderson, who's trying to overtake Ronnie Hillman for the team's No. 2 RB job, is back on the practice field but it remains iffy that he'll be able to play Sunday in the team's second preseason contest.

Updating a previous report, Denver Broncos RB C.J. Anderson was diagnosed with a concussion during the team's first preseason game. Anderson will go through the NFL's concussion protocol.

Huddle Up: Anderson was already running third on the Broncos' RB depth chart, further solidifying Ronnie Hillman's grasp on the No. 2 gig for now.

Denver Broncos RB C.J. Anderson left in the second quarter of Thursday night's preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks with concussion-like symptoms.

Huddle Up: Anderson is battling Ronnie Hillman for the Broncos' No. 2 gig, but was left wobbly by a hard tackle Thursday night. With starter Montee Ball (apendectomy) expected to miss most -- if not all -- of the preseason, Denver may now be in the market for a free-agent back.
