New Orleans Saints RB Khiry Robinson (forearm), who is expected to return in Week 14 against the Carolina Panthers, is expected to be eased back into the backfield, especially since RB Mark Ingram has done well in a leading role. RB Pierre Thomas also returned a week ago. Ingram rushed 23 times for 122 yards in the Week 13 win, which was his fourth 100-yard game with Robinson out. Robinson was running well before he was hurt, and his 5.2 yards per carry rank second in the league if he was eligible.

Huddle Up: Hard to believe but Robinson has missed the last 6 games, and he figures to get no more than 3-5 touches a game spelling the productive Ingram down the stretch.

New Orleans Saints RB Khiry Robinson (forearm) has been ruled out for Week 13.

Huddle Up: Pierre Thomas will be the second running back behind Mark Ingram again this week. Ingram will see most of the carries but Thomas will get snaps on passing downs like he did last week.

New Orleans Saints RB Khiry Robinson (forearm) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 27.

Huddle Up: Robinson remains out with an injury that's developed into a quite an issue as he's on the verge of missing a sixth straight game. Meanwhile, the team's other three backs practiced Thursday, leaving Robinson as the forgotten man.

The New Orleans Saints have declared RB Khiry Robinson, WR Robert Meachem, DL Brandon Deaderick, LB Kyle Knox, OT Nick Becton, CB Stanley Jean-Baptiste and CB Terrence Frederick inactive for Week 12.

Huddle Up: Robinson will miss a fifth straight game, leaving the RB chores to Mark Ingram, Pierre Thomas and Travaris Cadet, while Meachem won't be part of the Saints' reconfigured WR rotation which is playing its first game without the injured Brandin Cooks.

New Orleans Saints RB Khiry Robinson (forearm) did not practice Tuesday, Oct. 28.

Huddle Up: Robinson figures to miss a second straight game, ensuring another big workload for Mark Ingram, who has earned it in any case with his career-high 172 rushing yards in Week 8.

New Orleans Saints RB Khiry Robinson (forearm) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 24, and has been ruled out for Week 8.

Huddle Up: With Pierre Thomas also out, the Saints' RB situation is actually quite clear for a change as Mark Ingram should handle the bulk of the carries and Travaris Cadet will be the pass-catching back in a fairly decent matchup against the visiting Packers.

New Orleans Saints RB Khiry Robinson (forearm) did not practice Thursday, Oct. 23.

Huddle Up: Robinson has missed both of the Saints' practices this week, but the situation figures to gain more clarity Friday.

New Orleans Saints RB Khiry Robinson (forearm) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 22.

Huddle Up: It's still early in the week, and the Saints just might be playing it cautious with fellow RB Pierre Thomas (shoulder) already on the shelf this week. Stay tuned ...

New Orleans Saints RB Khiry Robinson carried 21 times for 89 yards and a touchdown in the Week 5 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and he also added a reception for eight yards.

Huddle Up: Robinson was the last of the Saints' backs to find the end zone despite the high workload. Once Mark Ingram returns to health expect Robinson's touches to diminish as the Saints' backfield returns to its frustrating three-headed monsterness.

New Orleans Saints RB Khiry Robinson has doubled his offseason workouts to add additional strength and stamina. He has also studied the playbook extensively, which head coach Sean Payton has noticed, 'You see him, just from an assignment standpoint, understanding the protections much quicker.' Robinson will compete for touches with RBs Pierre Thomas, Mark Ingram and Travaris Cadet.

Huddle Up: Darren Sproles is now out of the RB picture in the Big Easy, but that might not benefit Robinson as much as the other backs unless he can contribute more as a pass catcher. Robinson failed to log a reception last year as a rookie while rushing 54 times for 224 yards and a TD.
