Chicago Bears WR Eddie Royal (toe) is expected to play in Week 13's game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Huddle Up: Royal, who was listed as questionable on the injury report, did not practice at all this week but has been able to play through this injury for several games. However, he has not been very productive recently, so he should be avoided in all fantasy formats despite the favorable matchup.

Chicago Bears WR Eddie Royal (toe) has been listed as questionable for Week 13 against the San Francisco 49ers.

Huddle Up: Almost all of Royal's tenure in Chicago has been accompanied with a questionable tag, which is a shame for a player who has shown flashes of being one of the better slot receivers in the league on the rare occasion when he stays healthy. Marquess Wilson is the Chicago receiver to own at the moment, although Deonte Thompson and Cameron Meredith should also be involved.

  • Posted: 12/1/2016 6:57pm ET

Chicago Bears WR Eddie Royal (toe) did not practice Thursday, Dec. 1.

Huddle Up: Royal has been playing through the injury, but he hasn't been productive. Avoid Royal against the 49ers in Week 13 and check to see if Marquess Wilson is available.

  • Posted: 11/27/2016 4:49pm ET

Chicago Bears WR Eddie Royal had just one reception for minus-6 yards in the Week 12 game against the Tennessee Titans. That was his only target.

Huddle Up: Royal was expected to team with Cameron Meredith to help fill the void left by the suspension to Alshon Jeffery, but it has been Marquess Wilson, Deonte Thompson and Josh Bellamy seeing a bump in targets instead. Avoid Royal in fantasy leagues until he shows more consistency.

  • Posted: 11/25/2016 6:49pm ET

Chicago Bears WR Eddie Royal (toe) did not practice Friday, Nov. 25, and is listed as questionable for Week 12.

Huddle Up: Even if Royal suits up, he is a reach for fantasy owners with Matt Barkley expected to start at quarterback.

  • Posted: 11/24/2016 6:24pm ET

Chicago Bears WR Eddie Royal (toe) did not practice Thursday, Nov. 24.

Huddle Up: Even if Royal suits up, he is a risky flex play in PPR formats with Matt Barkley likely starting at quarterback for the Bears.

  • Posted: 11/20/2016 8:53am ET

Confirming a previous report, Chicago Bears WR Eddie Royal (toe) is active for Week 11's game against the New York Giants.

Huddle Up: Royal should see an increase in targets this afternoon due to the absence of Alshon Jeffery, as he serves the first week of his four-game suspension. Royal should be viewed as a viable flex option in PPR fantasy formats.

  • Posted: 11/20/2016 7:29am ET

Chicago Bears WR Eddie Royal (toe) is expected to play in Week 11's game against the New York Giants.

Huddle Up: Royal was limited in practice throughout the week and was listed as questionable on the injury report, even though he played through the same injury last week. He should see an increase in targets as a result of Alshon Jeffery's four-game suspension getting underway and makes a decent flex option in PPR formats.

  • Posted: 11/18/2016 12:49pm ET

Chicago Bears WR Eddie Royal (toe) is listed as questionable for the team's Week 11 game Sunday, Nov. 20, against the New York Giants. He was able to get in a limited practice Friday, Nov. 18.

Huddle Up: The injury-prone Royal is seemingly always questionable, and considering he was able to make it through last week's contest without incident, it would appear he's more likely than not to suit up for Week 11. With Alshon Jeffery beginning his four-game suspension this weekend, Royal could become somewhat of a useful commodity again, as he and Cameron Meredith should each receive a notable bump in targets. He could be especially sneaky for PPR formats.

  • Posted: 11/17/2016 12:34pm ET

Chicago Bears WR Eddie Royal (toe) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 17.

Huddle Up: Royal should receive more targets with Alshon Jeffery suspended, which will help him in point-per-reception leagues. Royal can be a flex option in PPR leagues but probably would not be a great option in some standard leagues.

  • Posted: 11/13/2016 7:33am ET

Chicago Bears WR Eddie Royal (toe) is expected to play in Week 10's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He had been limited in practice throughout the week.

Huddle Up: The Buccaneers are tied for the fourth-most receiving touchdowns allowed in the NFL, making this a very favorable matchup for Royal. Although he carries some risk because of his inability to remain healthy, he is worthy of consideration as a flex option in deeper seasonal leagues.

  • Posted: 10/29/2016 11:40am ET

Chicago Bears WR Eddie Royal (toe) did not practice this week and is listed as doubtful for Week 8 against the Minnesota Vikings.

Huddle Up: Royal's short tenure with Chicago has been marred by injuries, and the lack of any practice this week does not bode well for a return next week. Cameron Meredith and Zach Miller could see more targets this week as a result, but both players are dicey plays at best against the vaunted Minnesota defense.

  • Posted: 10/28/2016 5:54pm ET

Chicago Bears WR Eddie Royal (toe) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 28.

Huddle Up: Royal has been able to play the last two weeks even though he has missed practice, so he still has a chance to play in Week 8. He has had a decent role in the passing game this season, but owners in most leagues should be able to find better options to use.

  • Posted: 10/25/2016 11:20am ET

Chicago Bears WR Eddie Royal (toe) was not present for practice Tuesday, Oct. 25.

Huddle Up: The Bears play Monday night, so Royal will have some extra time to get ready. Coming off an injury and having Jay Cutler back aren't ingredients for a successful recipe, though, especially against the Minnesota Vikings vaunted defense. Royal is a big risk heading into Week 8.

  • Posted: 10/19/2016 1:14pm ET

Chicago Bears WR Eddie Royal (toe) has officially been ruled out for Week 7 against the Green Bay Packers.

Huddle Up: As was the case last week when Royal played, Alshon Jeffery and Cameron Meredith will be Chicago's two main receivers. The Bears may be forced to pass a lot versus a stingy rush defense, so view Jeffery as a high-end WR2 and Meredith as a WR3.

  • Posted: 10/18/2016 12:36pm ET

Chicago Bears WR Eddie Royal (toe) did not practice Tuesday, Oct. 18.

Huddle Up: That's back-to-back no shows for Royal so far this week. If he doesn't practice Wednesday then that could mean a doubtful status for Thursday night's game against the Green Bay Packers. Even if Royal does play, he's the Bears' No. 3 receiver and should not be viewed as a reliable starter.

  • Posted: 10/17/2016 3:26pm ET

Chicago Bears WR Eddie Royal (toe) did not practice Monday, Oct. 17. The Bears did not practice; Royal's status is an estimation.

Huddle Up: Cameron Meredith may have officially supplanted Royal as the No. 2 wide receiver in Chicago. Royal is still involved with Kevin White out, though. He has been targeted 15 times the last two weeks. That being said, don't view Royal as more than a flex start as long as Alshon Jeffery and Meredith are healthy.

  • Posted: 10/16/2016 9:43am ET

Chicago Bears WR Eddie Royal (calf) is officially active for the team's Week 6 game.

Huddle Up: Royal did not practice this week but should receive some targets against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He is a risky option because of the injury but could be a flex option in deeper leagues.

  • Posted: 10/14/2016 4:38pm ET

Chicago Bears WR Eddie Royal (calf) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 14, and is listed as questionable for Week 6.

Huddle Up: Royal was able to play in Week 5 even though he missed practice last week, so owners will need to check the inactive list. Owners may want to look for other options to use because Royal could be limited if he is active.

  • Posted: 10/13/2016 11:40am ET

Chicago Bears WR Eddie Royal (calf) did not participate in practice Thursday, Oct. 13.

Huddle Up: Royal did not practice at all last week but was able to play in Week 5, so he still has a chance to play in Week 6 even if he misses practice Friday, Oct. 14. Royal is a solid part of the team's passing game and can be a flex option for owners if he is active.

  • Posted: 10/12/2016 4:57pm ET

Chicago Bears WR Eddie Royal (calf) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 12.

Huddle Up: Royal played in the team's Week 5 game despite the injury and could be a game-time decision again this week. He has caught 14 passes over the last two weeks and may be a flex option in deeper leagues if he is active for the game.

  • Posted: 10/9/2016 8:20pm ET

Chicago Bears WR Eddie Royal (calf) posted seven catches for 43 yards in Week 5 against the Indianapolis Colts and he posted nine targets.

Huddle Up: Royal has managed 14 catches for 154 yards and a touchdown over the past two weekends, stepping up to fill the void left by Kevin White. Royal is an outstanding fantasy option in PPR formats, and he has lesser value in standard leagues.

  • Posted: 10/9/2016 9:14am ET

Chicago Bears WR Eddie Royal (calf) is officially active for the team's Week 5 game.

Huddle Up: Royal did not practice at all this week but will be in uniform for Week 5. He will be a risky option for owners because he could be limited during the game, but desperate owners could consider him as a flex option.

  • Posted: 10/7/2016 12:04pm ET

Chicago Bears WR Eddie Royal (calf) is looking like he'll be a game-time decision for the team's Week 5 game Sunday, Oct. 9, according to head coach John Fox. He hasn't practiced all week and is being listed as questionable for the contest.

Huddle Up: With Kevin White sidelined for an extended period of time, this would be a bad break for Royal owners, as the nine-year veteran is out to a very nice start in 2016. He should continue to gobble up targets as long as he's out there, but if Royal can't go, Alshon Jeffery will be an uncontested WR1 in Week 5, even if Brian Hoyer is under center.

  • Posted: 10/6/2016 11:50am ET

Chicago Bears WR Eddie Royal (calf) did not participate in practice Thursday, Oct. 6.

Huddle Up: Owners will need to check on Royal's status Friday, Oct. 7, to see if he will be able to play in Week 5. He is in line for more playing time with Kevin White out at least eight weeks and would be a solid fantasy option if he is healthy. Owners should have other players ready in case Royal is ruled out.

  • Posted: 10/5/2016 4:13pm ET

Chicago Bears WR Eddie Royal (calf) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 5.

Huddle Up: Royal is in line for more playing time with Kevin White out for a while, but owners will have to see if he is in danger of missing Week 5. Royal has played well so far this season and should be a No. 3 receiver or a flex option moving forward.

  • Posted: 10/2/2016 2:10pm ET

Chicago Bears WR Eddie Royal caught seven passes for 111 yards on Sunday, Oct. 2, in a 17-14 win over the Detroit Lions.

Huddle Up: Royal could see more action with Kevin White possibly out due to an ankle injury. Royal is technically a WR3 on the Bears' depth chart, but Royal will play more like a solid WR1 or WR2 thanks to the chemistry he has with QB Brian Hoyer.

  • Posted: 9/19/2016 9:39pm ET

Chicago Bears WR Eddie Royal posted four receptions for 52 yards in the Week 2 game against the Philadelphia Eagles Monday, Sept. 19. He was targeted six times. Royal also ripped off a 65-yard punt return for touchdown in the fourth quarter.

Huddle Up: Royal is only worth a look as a WR4 in the deepest of redraft fantasy formats. However, he has a little extra value in those leagues which reward individual return yardage.

  • Posted: 8/29/2016 3:40pm ET

Chicago Bears WR Eddie Royal (concussion) participated in practice Monday, Aug. 29, after he passed all of his concussion tests. Head coach John Fox said he is not sure if Royal will play in the final preseason game.

Huddle Up: Royal has a decent chance to be the No. 3 receiver for the Bears and could see a decent number of targets during the season. He likely will be selected in the late rounds of drafts and can be a No. 4 or No. 5 receiver for owners.

  • Posted: 8/20/2016 8:55pm ET

Chicago Bears WR Eddie Royal (concussion) participated in individual drills Saturday, Aug. 20, for the first time since sustaining a concussion Aug. 1. 'He's progressing,' head coach John Fox said. 'He's not been cleared for total contact, but he's getting back in the thick of it.'

Huddle Up: Royal is buried on the depth chart and has no tangible fantasy value on draft day, so take Fox's comments lightly.
