Arizona Cardinals RB Chris Johnson (groin) said Wednesday, Oct. 26, that he is ahead of schedule in his rehab from a groin injury. However, he is uncertain if Johnson or SS Tyvon Branch (hernia) will be the player who returns from the Reserve/Injured Designated to Return list.

Huddle Up: CJ2K might be back at some point, but fantasy owners would only want to use him if David Johnson goes down with a long-term injury and Chris Johnson can prove his health in a full game without any setbacks.

Arizona Cardinals RB Chris Johnson (groin) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Wednesday, Oct. 5. He will be out a minimum of eight weeks.

Huddle Up: CJ2K had a limited role, but he rushed 25 times for 95 yards and a touchdown before succumbing to a hernia. Andre Ellington will have a slightly larger role behind David Johnson. Ellington is an RB5 worth handcuffing to Johnson.

Updating a previous report, Arizona Cardinals RB Chris Johnson (groin) checked out of the Week 4 game against the Los Angeles Rams due to a groin injury and is questionable to return.

Huddle Up: Johnson is the backup to starter David Johnson. If CJ2K is forced to miss time it might mean more touches for Andre Ellington.

Arizona Cardinals RB David Johnson is expected to get a lion's share of the work, but RBs Chris Johnson and Andre Ellington each have skillsets which could help the offense. In fact, head coach Bruce Arians hinted Tuesday, June 7, that two backs could be on the field at the same time. 'When I first came here, that's something B.A. told me he wanted to do,' Chris Johnson said. 'It started off with me getting here late (in training camp), then Andre getting hurt early and me getting hurt. It was hard to get two of us on the field at one time, but that's something we've really been working hard on.'

Huddle Up: While it's problematic that the Cards have three quality backs for a one- or two-back backfield, Ellington's injury history suggests he'll remove himself from the equation for at least a portion of the season. Johnson remains the feature back here, though there is real fantasy concern as to what portion of the touches CJ and Ellington are capable of stealing.

Arizona Cardinals RB Chris Johnson could claim the starting job in Arizona's backfield despite head coach Bruce Arians claiming that RB David Johnson is the bell cow back, in the opinion of ESPN.com's Josh Weinfuss.

Huddle Up: This could end up being a very frustrating situation for fantasy owners, as David became a fantasy darling last season while CJ has mostly drawn ire from the fantasy community in recent seasons. If this evolves into a "hot hand" or RBBC situation, those who spend big on David Johnson will be very displeased.

Arizona Cardinals RB Chris Johnson said he believes he and RB David Johnson can be the best running back tandem in the NFL. David Johnson said Chris Johnson has helped him become a more patient running back.

Huddle Up: It definitely is one of the league's more intriguing -- and, yes, productive -- RB pairings with the veteran Chris Johnson and sophomore David Johnson, but the latter projects as the Cards' clear No. 1 back (a top-10 fantasy RB) after the former surprisingly led the team in rushing a season ago.
