Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco passed for a career-high 4,317 yards in 2016 but finished with only 20 touchdowns (versus 15 interceptions) despite a career-high 672 attempts.

Huddle Up: Flacco should not have been expected to set the world on fire coming off his 2015 ACL injury, but the Ravens need to realize sooner or later he is not an upper-echelon quarterback. Baltimore also isn't doing him any favors with its constant turnover at offensive coordinator. Flacco should be more efficient in 2017, but he will be hard-pressed to be anything more than a middling QB2.

  • Posted: 12/12/2016 9:48pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco completed 37 of his 52 pass attempts for 324 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in the Week 14 game against the New England Patriots Monday, Dec. 12.

Huddle Up: Flacco had just two 300-yard performances in his first 11 games, and he has two over his past two outings. He isn't a bad streaming option in Week 15 against a Philadelphia Eagles defense which has been struggling of late.

  • Posted: 12/4/2016 9:15pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco completed 36 of his 47 pass attempts for 381 yards, four touchdowns and an interception in the Week 13 game against the Miami Dolphins.

Huddle Up: Flacco entered the game with just 11 touchdown strikes over his first 11 games, so no one saw this performance coming. He remains more of a QB2 heading into Week 14 in New England on Monday Night Football despite the big outing.

  • Posted: 11/27/2016 1:43pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco threw for 234 yards and a touchdown but was picked off once in a 19-14 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

Huddle Up: Flacco won't get you flashy numbers like a Drew Brees or Matt Ryan would, but he is effective. Flacco has 2,877 passing yards but only 11 touchdowns, giving him an advantage in yardage leagues. There are better quarterbacks, but Flacco should be on a roster as a backup.

  • Posted: 11/20/2016 5:02pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco completed 23 of his 35 pass attempts for 269 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in the Week 11 game against the Dallas Cowboys. He also rushed once for six yards.

Huddle Up: Flacco took care of the ball and limited his mistakes, but he also failed to carry over the momentum of his three-touchdown game last week against Cleveland. He remains more of a QB2 in most standard fantasy formats heading into Week 12 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

  • Posted: 11/10/2016 9:08pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco completed 30 of his 41 pass attempts for 296 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions in a 28-7 win over the Cleveland Browns Thursday, Nov. 10.

Huddle Up: Flacco had just six touchdowns entering the game, and unless he has a friendly matchup, he is best kept on the bench.

  • Posted: 11/6/2016 2:13pm ET

Baltimore Ravens WR Mike Wallace caught four passes for 124 yards, including a 95-yard touchdown catch from QB Joe Flacco, in a 21-14 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, Nov. 6.

Huddle Up: Take away the long score and Wallace's numbers plummet. Still, Wallace is establishing himself as one of Flacco's desired targets, so he should get consideration in fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 11/6/2016 2:04pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco broke the protective brace on his left knee in the third quarter Sunday, Nov. 6, against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Flacco hopped off the field at the end of a play, and it first looked like Flacco had reinjured his left knee.

Huddle Up: Flacco missed just three plays and was 18-for-30 for 241 yards in the team's first win in six weeks. Flacco will have his weak games, but this was a strong performance that merits his QB1 status.

  • Posted: 10/23/2016 2:36pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco went 25-for-44 for 248 yards and two interceptions against the New York Jets in Week 7.

Huddle Up: Flacco has thrown the ball at least 40 times in each of the last six games and has two 300-yard games during that span. He has only two touchdowns in the last five games and should only be considered a No. 2 quarterback in leagues.

  • Posted: 10/23/2016 9:23am ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (shoulder) is officially active for the team's Week 7 game.

Huddle Up: Flacco will be without Steve Smith in Week 7 but will have other weapons to work with in the passing game. Flacco can be a low-end No. 1 quarterback in some deeper leagues, but most owners should be able to find better options to use.

  • Posted: 10/22/2016 6:27pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (shoulder) had 'good zip' and 'good velocity' in practice Friday, Oct. 21, according to TE Dennis Pitta.

Huddle Up: It has been a lackluster season thus far for Flacco, but he could be worth a roll of the dice in DFS formats in Week 7 against the struggling secondary of the New York Jets.

  • Posted: 10/22/2016 12:49pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (shoulder) likely will be able to start in Week 7 even though he is listed as questionable for the game.

Huddle Up: Flacco has thrown for at least 250 yards in four of his six games this season but has only five touchdowns during that span. He likely will be with one of his best receivers against the New York Jets and probably should be avoided in most leagues.

  • Posted: 10/21/2016 12:08pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (shoulder) returned to practice Friday, Oct. 21, getting in a full session. He's being considered questionable to play in the team's Week 7 game Sunday, Oct. 23, against the New York Jets.

Huddle Up: Flacco sat out the last two days, so this news is definitely encouraging for his Week 7 status. He'll have a salivating matchup opposite New York's weak pass defense, and as long as the former Super Bowl MVP is in there under center, that should bode well for all of Baltimore's key offensive players in fantasy.

  • Posted: 10/21/2016 8:49am ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (shoulder) returned to practice Friday, Oct. 21.

Huddle Up: His supporting cast around him is all banged up, and he's no more than a low-end QB1 against the New York Jets.

  • Posted: 10/20/2016 9:37am ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (shoulder) may be able to play in Week 7 even if he is not able to practice this week, according to head coach John Harbaugh.

Huddle Up: Flacco has missed the first two practices this week and could be a game-time decision for Week 7. He has posted decent numbers this season, but owners in most leagues likely will be able to find better options to use for their starting lineups.

  • Posted: 10/20/2016 8:30am ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (shoulder) remains out of practice Thursday, Oct. 20.

Huddle Up: Flacco is expected to be fine for Week 7 against the New York Jets. However, his fantasy stock is no more than a low-end QB1.

  • Posted: 10/19/2016 11:25am ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (shoulder) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 19, because of a sore shoulder but said he is optimistic about his status for Week 7.

Huddle Up: Owners can monitor the situation during the week, but Flacco should be in uniform for Week 7. He will be facing a solid New York Giants pass defense but could still be a low-end No. 1 quarterback in some deeper leagues.

  • Posted: 10/19/2016 8:32am ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (undisclosed) is out of practice Wednesday, Oct. 19.

Huddle Up: We'll update when more details are known. Flacco has a so-so matchup against the struggling New York Jets in Week 7. He's an iffy bye-week replacement.

  • Posted: 10/16/2016 5:12pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco completed 26 of his 48 pass attempts for 307 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in the Week 6 game against the New York Giants.

Huddle Up: Flacco's yardage total was nice, but the lack of touchdowns was maddening for fantasy owners. Flacco has just five touchdown strikes and two scoring runs in six games, including just two TD passes over the past four. He is only worth using in deeper fantasy leagues, as a starter in two-QB leagues and as a bye-week replacement if you're desperate.

  • Posted: 10/9/2016 2:55pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco went 30-for-46 for 210 yards and one touchdown against the Washington Redskins in Week 5.

Huddle Up: Flacco has thrown for at least 250 yards in three of the five games this season but only has five touchdowns during that span. Flacco should be a No. 2 quarterback in most leagues and can only be used when a No. 1 quarterback is on bye.

  • Posted: 10/2/2016 7:48pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco completed 32 of his 52 pass attempts for 298 yards, a touchdown and no interceptions in the Week 4 game against the Oakland Raiders. He also rushed for a touchdown on a QB sneak from the 1-yard line.

Huddle Up: Flacco was a little disappointing from a fantasy perspective considering the Raiders entered last in the NFL by allowing 340.0 yards per game, but he still had a decent stat line. He faces a difficult matchup in Week 5 against Washington, and is only worth a look as a bye-week replacement in most fantasy formats.

  • Posted: 9/18/2016 2:12pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco went 25-for-45 with two touchdowns and two interceptions against the Cleveland Browns in Week 2.

Huddle Up: Flacco struggled during the early part of the game but played better as the game went on. He appears to be completely recovered from the knee injury he suffered last season and could be an option in daily fantasy leagues next week against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

  • Posted: 9/14/2016 10:53pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco will face the Cleveland Browns in Week 2. Over his past seven starts against the Browns he has completed 149 of his 246 pass attempts (60.6 percent) for 1,709 yards (244.1 yards per game) with nine passing touchdowns, three interceptions and three rushing touchdowns.

Huddle Up: Flacco is a nice sleeper in deeper fantasy leagues as a low-end QB1 against the lowly Browns, who were picked apart by rookie Carson Wentz for his first NFL win in Week 1. Flacco won't put up elite fantasy numbers, but he'll flirt with 250-275 yards and a pair of scores.

  • Posted: 8/21/2016 9:08am ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (knee) has missed the first two preseason games but is expected to play in the preseason game against the Detroit Lions Saturday, Aug. 27.

Huddle Up: Flacco appears to be on track for the start of the season and probably will see limited work against the Lions. Flacco will have some weapons to work with this season but probably is best as a No. 2 quarterback for fantasy owners.

  • Posted: 8/16/2016 4:17pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco said his surgically repaired knee isn't fully recovered yet, but he did say the knee feels great and he has not missed any practice. Flacco doesn't know if he'll be playing in the Ravens' second preseason game this weekend.

Huddle Up: The Ravens are understandably taking the pracautionary route with their starting QB after he missed the final six games of last season, but there's been no indication that the start of this regular season is in any kind of danger. He's a low-end QB2 at this point.

  • Posted: 8/11/2016 7:39pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (knee) will not play against the Carolina Panthers Thursday, Aug. 11. He could be in action for the Ravens' third preseason game.

Huddle Up: Flacco is still recovering from ACL surgery and the Ravens obviously aren't going to rush him back to play in a preseason game. Flacco is expected to be ready for Week 1 when the Ravens take on the Bills.

  • Posted: 7/19/2016 4:11pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (knee) is already throwing like his regular, healthy self, according to WR Kamar Aiken. Aiken said Flacco looked the same as he always has when the caught passes from him for the first time this offseason. 'He looks 100 percent to me,' Aiken said. Aiken added that Flacco didn't' have any 'limp or lags' and that he was surprised Flacco looked as good as he did. 'I'm just happy to get him back.'

Huddle Up: Flacco missed a start (6 in all) last year for the first time in eight pro seasons, and even though the Baltimore pass-catching corps have been upgraded (Steve Smith, Mike Wallace, TE Ben Watson), Flacco projects as a low-end QB2.

  • Posted: 6/17/2016 2:16pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (knee) doesn't have any tentativeness while running and cutting during practices. However, getting hit in the pocket will be an adjustment, since that's how he suffered the injury. Flacco said he feels good enough to play now if he had to.

Huddle Up: Flacco's six missed games last season were the first of his eight-year career, and he heads into summer ranked as The Huddle's 21st-ranked fantasy QB.

  • Posted: 6/15/2016 9:42am ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (knee) is expected to be absent for the team's three-day mandatory minicamp as he continues to rehab his knee injury.

Huddle Up: The Ravens will start worrying about Flacco if he isn't taking significant reps in training camp. For now, no worries and plenty of reps for the backups.

  • Posted: 6/7/2016 4:00pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (knee) is making good progress in his recovery and should be able to participate during training camp as long as he does not suffer any setbacks, according to head coach John Harbaugh.

Huddle Up: So far, so good this offseason for Flacco, who missed the last six games of 2015 and is currently the Huddle's 21st-ranked QB.

  • Posted: 5/24/2016 10:45am ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (knee) will miss all of the organized team activities this offseason because he is still recovering from a torn anterior cruciate ligament. Flacco said he has made big improvements in his recovery, and head coach John Harbaugh said Flacco should be ready for training camp. QB Ryan Mallett will work with the first-team offense during the workouts.

Huddle Up: There are no major changes within the Baltimore offense so it's not critical for Flacco to be on the field. Fantasy owners banking on any member of the Ravens' offense, however, will certainly want to see him getting full reps in training camp to ensure Baltimore's attack won't be dragged down by lesser quarterback play like it was after Flacco was injured late last season.

  • Posted: 4/4/2016 1:48pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (knee) said he's getting better and better each week as he recovers in his rehabilitation form a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. Flacco said he believes he's on track for training camp, but he hasn't been given a timetable for a return.

Huddle Up: Expect the Ravens to bring Flacco along slowly, but all signs point towards him starting the season at the helm for Baltimore. If not, you can go ahead and downgrade the fantasy prospects of any and all members of the Ravens offense.

  • Posted: 3/2/2016 11:37am ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco agreed to a three-year extension Wednesday, March 2, through the 2021 season.

Huddle Up: Without knowing the details of the deal you would think the Ravens are now able to spread Flacco's payments over a longer period of time. Either way, Flacco is locked in as Baltimore's quarterback for the foreseeable future.

  • Posted: 2/23/2016 9:23am ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco's agent will meet with the Ravens this weekend at the NFL combine to discuss a possible restructured deal. If Flacco's contract is restructured it would give Baltimore some breathing room on figuring out how to manage nearly $85 million in cap space from now until 2018.

Huddle Up: Flacco signed a big deal after leading the Ravens to the Super Bowl; now Baltimore is searching for a way to make the deal more cap-friendly while still keeping stability at the quarterback position.

  • Posted: 2/21/2016 2:04pm ET

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco could restructure his contract before the start of free agency, according to ESPN.com's Jamison Hensley. Flacco has already said he would be willing to do so to give the Ravens more salary cap space. Hensley said the key for restructuring will be to give Flacco more money over the next three years than what he would earn in his current deal.

Huddle Up: Flacco is coming off an injury-shortened 10-game season but is scheduled to count a whopping $28.6 million against the cap this coming season, thanks to his remarkable 2012 postseason run. A creative restructure certainly could help benefit both sides.
