San Diego Chargers WR Stevie Johnson (knee) has learned he will miss the entire 2016 season following surgery to repair his torn meniscus.

Huddle Up: This was expected after Johnson tore his meniscus early in camp. Keenan Allen and Travis Benjamin now take on an even bigger role in the Chargers passing game with Johnson lost for the season. Benjamin, in particular, is appealing with an ADP in Round 10.

San Diego Chargers WR Stevie Johnson (knee) underwent surgery on his torn meniscus Tuesday, Aug. 9, according to a source. The surgery went well but there is currently no timetable for his return.

Huddle Up: It's hard to imagine Johnson coming back any and contributing with any effectiveness any time before midseason, leaving Keenan Allen and Travis Benjamin as the clear-cut duo atop the Bolts' depth chart.

Updating an ongoing story, San Diego Chargers WR Stevie Johnson (knee) will undergo surgery in the 'next couple days,' according to Chargers head coach Mike McCoy. Johnson's prognosis is expected to be determined following the procedure.

Huddle Up: Until more is known, Johnson's injury really doesn't matter too much for his already nearly non-existent value. A season-long setback would pave the way for San Diego to bring in a veteran or give Dontrelle Inman more action.

Updating a previous story, San Diego Chargers WR Stevie Johnson (knee) suffered a torn meniscus Sunday, July 31, and will undergo surgery soon, according to a source. Johnson's season may be in jeopardy.

Huddle Up: Johnson was in line to be the No. 3 receiver and work out of the slot. Third-year wideout Dontrelle Inman should have the inroad to the job, coming off a 34-486-3 line. At 6-3, 205 pounds, he creates a mismatch against most defenders. Unfortunately, Inman may not see enough targets to matter on a regular basis. Avoid him on draft day.

San Diego Chargers WR Stevie Johnson (knee) was carried off the practice field Sunday, July 31, after injuring his right knee during a passing drill.

Huddle Up: Johnson had been working with the first-team offense and was in line to be the No. 3 receiver. If the injury turns out to be serious, Dontrelle Inman could slide into the same role and would be worth keeping an eye on.
