San Francisco 49ers WR Pierre Garcon finished with three catches for 26 yards in a 12-9 loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2.

Huddle Up: Garcon actually led the team in receiving for the second week in a row, and he is the closest thing San Francisco has to a dependable option in the passing game. He is a matchup-dependent play, but he has WR3 potential against the Rams in Week 3, especially in PPR formats.

  • Posted: 9/10/2017 7:49pm ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Pierre Garcon posted six grabs with game-highs of 81 yards and 10 targets in Week 1 against Carolina.

Huddle Up: Garcon had a pretty nice rapport with Brian Hoyer, serving as the most effective connection on the team. They'll look to build on the momentum in Week 2, but the 49ers face a tough road matchup against the Seahawks.

San Francisco 49ers WR Pierre Garcon finished with six catches on seven targets for 64 yards against the Minnesota Vikings in the preseason Sunday, Aug. 27.

Huddle Up: Garcon is the top option in the San Francisco passing attack, so he should plenty of targets all season long. Don't sleep on Garcon as a volume-based WR3, especially in PPR formats.

  • Posted: 3/9/2017 4:05pm ET

Free-agent WR Pierre Garcon (Redskins) signed a five-year deal with the San Francisco 49ers Thursday, March 9.

Huddle Up: From the surface, this looks like a downgrade for Garcon's fantasy outlook, as he'll be joining a much inferior offense compared to the one he played with in Washington, but as a 49er, he's easily their best receiver and should see the most targets. Plus, Brian Hoyer could easily provide better quarterback play than what San Francisco had last year, so Garcon just may hang in there with WR3 prospects.

Washington Redskins impending free-agent WR Pierre Garcon is close to a deal with the San Francisco 49ers, which would pay him $16 million in the first year, according to sources.

Huddle Up: Garcon was solid with a 79-1,041-3 line last year. He doesn't jump off the page at you, but he's a midrange PPR receiver. Kyle Shanahan was his offensive coordinator in 2013, Garcon's best year, when he had 113 catches for 1,346 yards. He'll be a high-end WR3 in fantasy.

Washington Redskins impending free-agent WR Pierre Garcon is being pursued by the San Francisco 49ers. He's familiar with head coach Kyle Shanahan's system.

Huddle Up: Garcon had a 79-1,041-3 solid showing last year. He doesn't jump off the page at you, but he's a midrange PPR receiver.

Impending free-agent WR Pierre Garcon (Redskins) hasn't 'heard a word' from the Washington Redskins in regards to signing him to a deal prior to the start of free agency.

Huddle Up: There are any number of reasons as to why Washington hasn't reached out, the most likely of which is the chaos taking place in the Redskins' front office at the moment. Head coach Jay Gruden said last week he is comfortable with his receiving corps should Garcon and DeSean Jackson leave, and it is looking more and more like that will end up being the case. Even if Garcon ends up signing with a team that will allow him to be the clear No. 1 option, he'll be hard-pressed to be much more than a fantasy WR3.

  • Posted: 2/11/2017 5:00pm ET

Impending free-agent WR Pierre Garcon is expected to receive offers in the neighborhood of $9 million per year, according to ESPN.com's John Keim.

Huddle Up: The Los Angeles Rams, Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers are among the teams expected to be among the most interested. The price tag would suggest teams view him as a No. 1 receiver, but his best fit would be as a No. 2. It's going to take a bit of a perfect storm in order to break the bank, and he's likely to be no more than a fantasy WR4 regardless of where he lands.

Washington Redskins impending free-agent WR Pierre Garcon is expected to be pursued by the Los Angeles Rams, Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, Chicago Bears and San Francisco 49ers this offseason.

Huddle Up: Garcon can still do damage underneath as a possession receiver, and he could be a WR3 in PPR formats if he lands with a decent offense. If he is stuck with a rookie quarterback, he should be viewed more as a WR4.

  • Posted: 2/9/2017 3:45pm ET

Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon said he wants to remain with the team next season.

Huddle Up: He also wants to get paid, as he should, after registering his fourth straight season with at least 68 receptions and his first 1,000-yard campaign since 2013. Not only that, Garcon has proven to be very durable, having played in all 16 games in four of his five seasons with Washington. However, the Redskins are notorious for lowballing impending free agents, and if they're not careful, he could wind up with a new club in 2017. At least a handful of teams should be interested.

  • Posted: 2/7/2017 7:36am ET

Washington Redskins impending free-agent WR Pierre Garcon (Redskins) still hasn't talked with the Redskins as of Tuesday, Feb. 7, according to multiple sources.

Huddle Up: Garcon had a solid 79-1,041-3 campaign in 2016. He turns 31 in August, but there appears to be tread left on the tires. He's a WR3 or a WR4 in fantasy depending on where he lands.

  • Posted: 1/14/2017 11:58am ET

Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon said he does not want to be called a possession receiver because he can do more than what the Redskins asked him to do in 2016. 'I definitely want people to stop thinking I'm a possession receiver because they gave me a job to do,' Garcon said. 'That doesn't mean I can't go deep and I can't run fast, because I ran fast and went deep this year more than I probably ever did. Every year is different from the playcalling. But I want people to stop thinking that I'm a slow guy, and I'm not slowing down anytime soon.'

Huddle Up: Garcon will be a free agent this offseason and should receive interest from multiple teams if he hits the free-agent market. He finished the 2016 season with 79 catches for 1,041 yards and three touchdowns. Garcon should have a good chance to be a starter for a team next season and can be a No. 3 or No. 4 receiver for fantasy owners.

  • Posted: 1/3/2017 9:30am ET

Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon is unlikely to return for less than the $7.6 million he earned this season, according to ESPN's John Keim.

Huddle Up: That kind of stance usually indicates the player's agent has been able to find enough potential bidders, so a parting of ways appears likely. Then again, the first-round selection of Josh Doctson in the draft last spring pretty much sealed his fate anyway. Garcon showed he is still a very capable No. 2 receiver in the NFL and should be open to find a team willing to meet his asking price this spring.

  • Posted: 12/25/2016 1:46pm ET

Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon caught four passes for 92 yards against the Chicago Bears in Week 16.

Huddle Up: Garcon has been a reliable option for owners this season and has posted at least 50 yards in six of his last seven games. He will continue to have a solid role in the passing game and should be a No. 3 receiver or a flex option in leagues.

  • Posted: 12/19/2016 10:10pm ET

Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon posted seven grabs for 78 yards in the Week 15 game against the Carolina Panthers Monday, Dec. 19, and he was targeted a game-high 11 times.

Huddle Up: Garcon was credited with his first drop of the season, but he was still very productive. He remains a solid WR3 in most fantasy leagues heading into Week 16 against the Chicago Bears.

  • Posted: 12/19/2016 7:13pm ET

Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon had his first drop of the season in the first half of the Week 15 game against the Carolina Panthers.

Huddle Up: The sure-handed Garcon has been a sure thing in the receiving game this season, posting four or more receptions in each of his past six, and 10 of the past 11 games. He had two receptions for 28 yards on five targets in the first 30 minutes.

  • Posted: 10/30/2016 12:45pm ET

Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon caught six passes for 67 yards against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 8.

Huddle Up: Garcon has been a reliable target for the Redskins this season and has posted at least 67 yards in two of the last three games. Garcon can be a No. 3 receiver or a flex option for owners moving forward.

  • Posted: 10/23/2016 5:45pm ET

Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon had two receptions for 22 yards in five targets in the Week 7 game against the Detroit Lions.

Huddle Up: Garcon has found the end zone just once this season, and he has been held to 59 or fewer yards in six of his seven games. Garcon is only worth keeping around as receiver depth in fantasy leagues of 12 or more yards.

  • Posted: 10/9/2016 2:44pm ET

Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon caught five passes for 56 yards and one touchdown against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 5.

Huddle Up: Garcon has been a bit inconsistent in terms of his receiving yards this season but has been targeted at least six times in four of the five games. He could be a flex option most leagues or a bye week replacement in deeper leagues.
