The Tennessean reports Tennessee Titans owner Bud Adams wants QB Vince Young to be the team's starting quarterback in Week 8. Following the team's 59-0 loss to the New England Patriots Oct. 18, Adams said he'd made head coach Jeff Fisher aware of his desire to see Young play. Fisher was non-committal when asked if QB Kerry Collins or Young would start in Week 8, citing competitive reasons. 'We've had a week to do some different things and considering the circumstances we're in right now with the record, there's things that you need to do differently,' Fisher said. 'Let's just say I am not going to be as specific and open-ended from a competitive standpoint.'
The Huddle Take: No matter which player starts, neither is worthy of Fantasy consideration, even with a vulnerable Jacksonville pass defense coming to town. The only Titan who is worth a Fantasy start continues to be Chris Johnson.

ESPN reports Tennessee Titans QB Kerry Collins and QB Vince Young will both receive reps during the team's Week 7 bye. Mortensen reports it wouldn't be a shock if Collins remains the starting quarterback for at least a few more games.
The Huddle Take: There is no way the team benches Collins for Young in our opinion. Young has been a disaster for a good while now and didn't look like he'd improved at all when he got on the field Sunday. If he does start stay far, far away from him. Collins still has relative value once the Titans get back from their bye if he's still starting, at least for the final two weeks of six teams on the bye. Other than that, for now the best option is to look somewhere else.

The Tennessean reports Tennessee Titans head coach Jeff Fisher would not discuss his plans at quarterback following the team's Week 6 loss. QB Kerry Collins was benched during the game in favor of QB Vince Young. Collins, however, still feels he gives the team a chance to win games. 'I am not going to assume anything at this point,' Collins said. 'I still feel like I am the quarterback of this team and this is my team. I give us a chance to win when I go out there.'
The Huddle Take: The Titans are such a mess that it doesn't matter whether Collins, Vince Young or the ghost of Sammy Baugh is named their quarterback after Tennessee comes off a bye in Week 8. No Tennessee offensive player is worth any Fantasy consideration with the exception of RB Chris Johnson.

The Associated Press reports Tennessee Titans QB Kerry Collins went 2-for-12 for minus seven yards in the team's Week 6 game.
The Huddle Take: As good as the Patriots were in the game, the Titans were equally as bad. Collins struggled to move the offense the entire game and the Titans are clearly not playing well as a team at this point. Fantasy owners looking for a quarterback during the bye week should stay away from the Titans quarterback situation regardless if Kerry Collins or Vince Young is on the field.

The Associated Press reports Tennessee Titans head coach Jeff Fisher said following Week 5 that QB Kerry Collins will remain the team's starting quarterback despite being pulled. Fisher said Collins is not the problem with the team's 0-5 start.
The Huddle Take: Collins isn't necessarily the only problem with the Titans this year; you can't expect to beat Indy when you're throwing mid- to late-round rookie corners against Peyton Manning. However, the fact that an 0-5 team isn't taking a serious look at a quarterback it drafted third overall just three years ago would seem to indicate that Vince Young isn't part of whatever solution Fisher has in mind.
Posted: 10/5/2009 12:03pm et
Jim Wyatt, of The Tennessean, reports Titans head coach Jeff Fisher said he never considered bringing QB Vince Young into the team's Week 4 game, even though QB Kerry Collins struggled during the team's 37-17 loss. Fisher said, "Kerry's our starter. Kerry gives us our best chance to win." Fisher added that benching Collins is not an option for the team's Week 5 game.
The Huddle Take: At present the Titans can remain focused on wins, but if the season continues its downward spiral Fisher will need to examine his options at quarterback. Collins isn't the team's long-term solution, and the Titans need to decide sooner rather than later if Young will be as well.
Posted: 9/29/2009 3:44pm et
The Tennessean reports Tennessee Titans head coach Jeff Fisher said he is happy with the play of QB Kerry Collins and will stick with Collins for the team's Week 4 game. Fisher added he has not even considered making a switch despite the 0-3 start. 'Kerry is not the reason. He is certainly not the reason for the situation we're in,' Fisher said.
The Huddle Take: Collins isn't the problem, it's more a defense that has been almost shockingly bad through three weeks. But the offense has been far from explosive with the exception of Chris Johnson, who remains the only viable Titan from a Fantasy perspective.

The Associated Press reports Tennessee Titans QB Kerry Collins was 7-for-10 for 82 yards in producing two touchdown drives during the team's preseason opener Sunday, Aug. 9. Collins was 3-for-4 for 49 yards on third down.
The Huddle Take: "Produced two touchdown drives" is a bit of a misnomer, since the first was capped by a 40-yard run on a fake punt. But Collins did look sharp, hitting four different receivers and connecting three times with tight end Alge Crumpler.
Posted: 8/7/2009 1:37pm et
The Tennessean reports Tennessee Titans QB Kerry Collins will play the first two series in the team's preseason game Sunday, Aug. 9. QB Vince Young will play the rest of the first half and start the third quarter. QB Patrick Ramsey is scheduled to play in the game, and QB Alex Mortensen could see some playing time depending on how the game is going.
The Huddle Take: The big story is it's the first game of the pre-season, so we can all rejoice in that, even if most of us will only watch the kickoff and a little bit of the first quarter. There's not a whole lot of intrigue attached to this game other than seeing how Vince Young performs. He's in a battle - yes, a battle - with Patrick Ramsey for the No. 2 spot. Young's heady days of being a No. 1 draft pick and No. 1 QB are, for now at least, nothing but a memory.
Posted: 7/20/2009 1:30pm et
The Tennessean reports there will be legitimate competition between Tennessee Titans QBs Vince Young and Patrick Ramsey for the team's No. 2 quarterback job during training camp. All things equal, the Titans would love for Young to blow Ramsey - and starting QB Kerry Collins, for that matter - out of the water and succeed. However, it is uncertain whether it's ever going to work for Young in Tennessee, and there are those inside the organization who think that it won't.
The Huddle Take: Barring injury, Collins will win the No. 1 job no contest. But if Young does manage to grab the No. 2 spot he'll at least be worth consideration as a Fantasy free agent pickup, since Collins turns 37 in December.
