Bengals.com reports the Cincinnati Bengals worked out free-agent WR Joey Galloway (Patriots) Tuesday, Nov. 17.
The Huddle Take: With the loss of wideout Chris Henry for the season, the Bengals are looking for a veteran replacement to complement Chad Ochocinco and Andre Caldwell. Galloway has certainly been a solid playmaker over his career and could provide the Bengals with a reciever worthy of big play potential for the remainder of the season if the team choses to sign him.

FOXSports.com reports the New England Patriots have released WR Joey Galloway, according to a source.
The Huddle Take: No surprise here. Galloway will probably latch on somewhere else; Baltimore could be one possibility since the Ravens were supposedly interested in obtaining Terrell Owens from Buffalo.

Ian R. Rapoport, of the Boston Herald, reports New England Patriots WR Joey Galloway was not active for the second consecutive game in Week 5. Galloway could be in jeopardy of being released if the team signs free-agent LB Junior Seau this week.
The Huddle Take: Galloway has been leapfrogged in the Patriots' passing game pecking order by the likes of Sam Aiken and Julian Edelman, so he may very well be expendable if the team needs to add defensive help.

Shalise Manza Young, of The Providence Journal, reports New England Patriots WR Joey Galloway's days with the team could be numbered after he was a healthy scratch for Week 4.
The Huddle Take: Galloway has been unimpressive in his sidekick role, and the fact that the Patriots deemed him expendable even though their other receivers have been banged up of late suggests that there isn't much of a future for him in New England.

Mike Reiss, of The Boston Globe, reports New England Patriots WR Joey Galloway will likely be the team's No. 3 receiver behind Randy Moss and Wes Welker in 2009.
The Huddle Take: Even Galloway couldn't have expected to come in to New England and start in front of Moss and Welker. He'll be an intriguing fringe fantasy guy filling the role that produced an average of 40 catches and four touchdowns for the likes of Jabar Gaffney and Donte Stallworth the past two seasons.
Posted: 3/14/2009 11:18pm et
ESPN's Len Pasquarelli reports the New England Patriots have reached a one-year deal with free-agent WR Joey Galloway. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The Huddle Take: Galloway is expected to fill the third receiver role vacated by Jabar Gaffney. If there's anything left in the tank, he has mild upside in deeper fantasy leagues.
Posted: 2/3/2009 11:24pm et
The Tampa Tribune, reports Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Raheem Morris might have to cut ties with WR Joey Galloway if he hopes to gain credibility in the locker room with players. There is no way players will take Morris seriously if he shows favoritism towards Galloway, as former head coach Jon Gruden did. Galloway did not practice much during previous training camps and rarely participated in practices throughout the week because Gruden liked him so much. Galloway is also 37 years of age and is coming off a season in which he recorded just 13 receptions for 138 yards.
The Huddle Take: Galloway, who is on the downside of an illustrious career in the NFL will likely have trouble finding consistent opportunities under the new coaching staff since the team will likely be looking for more receiving help in the offseason. Fantasy owners should not consider Galloway a viable option heading into the 2009 season unless it becomes clear he will get a starting job.
