Huddle Up: McCoy finished in the top five in the NFL in rushing last year and added 59 catches. In Buffalo's run-heavy attack, he should be able to deliver another year of RB1 production, especially in PPR formats.

Huddle Up: McCoy will turn 30 years old this offseason, and while he's still putting up respectable numbers, he may be over the proverbial running back hill. He will remain featured in the Bills' offense, of course; Buffalo doesn't even know who its starting quarterback will be next season. As of now, McCoy stands in low-end RB1 territory with increased value in PPR formats.

Huddle Up: Turning 29 didn't hurt Shady from a counting perspective as he put forth 1,138 rushing yards, six rushing scores and a 59-448-2 line through the air. His 4.0 yards-per-carry average was the lowest of his career, though. There was a lot of changes and turnover on the entire offense, and he performed well despite it. He'll be 30 next season, and the upside will diminish, but McCoy remains an RB1 in fantasy.

Huddle Up: McCoy should be one of the top running backs in fantasy drafts next season and likely will be a first-round pick in most leagues.
-

Huddle Up: McCoy likely will receive his normal workload despite his ankle injury. He is a bit of a risky option because of the injury but should be a starter in all fantasy leagues.

Huddle Up: McCoy likely will receive a big workload against the Jacksonville Jaguars despite the injury. He should be a starting option in all fantasy leagues.
-

Huddle Up: Shady is expected to lace them up this weekend, but he's not going to be 100 percent. He'll be an RB2 option against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
-
Posted: 1/4/2018 12:00pm ET
Huddle Up: Not having McCoy would be a dagger to the Bills in their road playoff tilt with the Jacksonville Jaguars. The running game is the one area in which the Jaguars are vulnerable. Keep tabs on McCoy over the next couple of days. If he can't go or is limited then Mike Tolbert would see the bulk of backfield work.
-

Huddle Up: Unless he aggravated something, McCoy should be out there this weekend. However, he could be hobbled, and that drops him to an RB2 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
-

Huddle Up: McCoy should gut it out Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars, but there is a lot of risk involved due to potential limitations. He's an RB2 in playoff formats.
-

Huddle Up: Shady is a gamer, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see him try to play. However, everything lends to him being limited and not close to 100 percent. He's still an RB2 in playoff leagues, but there is a lot more risk involved than reward.
-
Posted: 1/1/2018 5:04pm ET
Huddle Up: Owners will need to monitor McCoy's practice participation this week to have a better idea of his status for the playoff game. He is a starting fantasy option when healthy, but owners may want to lower expectations because of the injury.
-

Huddle Up: The Jaguars aren't a good matchup for him in playoff pools, and McCoy slips into the RB2 territory with potential limitations.
-

Huddle Up: McCoy should receive a lot of touches against the New England Patriots in Week 17. He is one of the best running backs in the NFL and is a must-start fantasy option.
-
Posted: 12/24/2017 6:41pm ET
Huddle Up: While he failed to score a touchdown, McCoy totaled more than 100 yards from scrimmage for the third time in the past four outings to help his fantasy owners down the stretch and in the playoffs.
-

Huddle Up: McCoy will see plenty of touches this week against the New England Patriots and is a must-start option in all fantasy leagues.

Huddle Up: McCoy should be in uniform this week and will receive plenty of work against the New England Patriots. He should be considered a No. 1 running back in all fantasy leagues.
-

Huddle Up: McCoy is probably receiving some time off during practice this week but should be fine for Week 16. He is a must-start option in all fantasy leagues.
-
Posted: 12/17/2017 4:55pm ET
Huddle Up: Shady has rushing touchdowns in back-to-back games, including a game-winning overtime gallop in the snow last week, and five total touchdowns over the past five outings. He remains a bona fide RB1 in all fantasy leagues heading into Week 16 against the Patriots.
-
Posted: 12/15/2017 12:21pm ET
Huddle Up: McCoy will continue to be the focal point for the offense and is a must-start option in all fantasy leagues.
-
Posted: 12/14/2017 12:40pm ET
Huddle Up: McCoy is coming off a heavy workload (32 carries), but it's nothing he can't handle. The Miami Dolphins are letting opposing running backs score at least once per game (total touchdowns) while averaging nearly 100 yards on the ground. Keep McCoy in your lineup as an RB1.
-
Posted: 12/10/2017 2:38pm ET
Huddle Up: McCoy received a big workload because of the weather and continues to be one of the best running backs in the NFL. He should be considered a No. 1 fantasy running back next week against the Miami Dolphins.
-
Posted: 12/8/2017 4:45pm ET
Huddle Up: McCoy should be the focal point of the Bills offense this week against the Indianapolis Colts and should be a No. 1 running back in all fantasy leagues.

Huddle Up: McCoy should receive his normal workload and will have a favorable matchup in Week 14. He is a must-start option in all fantasy leagues.
-
Posted: 12/6/2017 12:17pm ET
Huddle Up: McCoy should be the focal point of Buffalo's offense this week in a good matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. He's had a relatively disappointing season compared to previous years, but don't think twice about starting him with the playoffs at stake.
-
Posted: 12/3/2017 1:52pm ET
Huddle Up: Shady managed to go over 100 total scrimmage yards which is nice, but he was held out of the end zone for the fourth time in the past five games. Still, he remains a must-start fantasy option heading into Week 14 against the Indianapolis Colts despite the lack of touchdowns recently.
-

Huddle Up: McCoy should be a focal point on offense against the New England Patriots this week and should be a starting running back in all fantasy leagues.
-
Posted: 11/30/2017 7:39pm ET
Huddle Up: McCoy's status as a true every-down back allows him to contribute no matter the score of a game, so don't hesitate to plug him in as a RB1 against the Patriots.
-
Posted: 11/30/2017 12:56pm ET
Huddle Up: McCoy should be fine despite being added to the injury report Thursday. He will be a focal point in the offense this week and is a must-start option in all leagues.
-
Posted: 11/26/2017 2:22pm ET
Huddle Up: McCoy has rushed for at least 50 yards in only one of the last four games but is still receiving at least 15 carries in most games. He can be considered a low-end No. 1 or a No. 2 running back in all leagues next week.
-
Posted: 11/19/2017 7:56pm ET
Huddle Up: The Bills were punished by the Chargers, especially in the first half, but Shady still ended up giving his fantasy owners a pretty solid performance. He'll look to keep it going in Week 12 at Kansas City.
-
Posted: 11/15/2017 3:14pm ET
Huddle Up: It's rather customary for the veteran to take off from mid-week practices. He'll be just fine for Week 11 against the Chargers, and he'll be needed to run hard with Nathan Peterman making his first NFL start under center.
-
Posted: 11/2/2017 9:03pm ET
Huddle Up: Thursday marked the third time this season that McCoy was shut down on the ground, but on the two previous occasions he'd salvaged some value in the passing game. Not tonight. The Jets completely hemmed in McCoy and made the Bills look elsewhere to beat them. It's a bitter pill for McCoy owners to swallow, but Shady's still the focal point of the offense and should be back in your lineup when the Bills host the Saints in Week 10.
-
Posted: 10/29/2017 2:45pm ET
Huddle Up: McCoy certainly did his fantasy owners proud in this one, especially in PPR formats. He'll look to carry the momentum into Week 9 on Thursday night against the Jets. He posted 110 rushing yards and 49 receiving yards in Week 1 in the first meeting with New York.
-
Posted: 10/25/2017 1:15pm ET
Huddle Up: Shady was getting the regular mid-week veteran's rest, as the team looks to preserve him as much as possible for game day. He is expected to practice Thursday and Friday and he'll be ready for Week 8 against the Oakland Raiders.
-
Posted: 10/22/2017 7:04pm ET
Huddle Up: McCoy recently said he and his offensive line just needed some more time to figure out the zone-blocking scheme the coaching staff has implemented, and maybe this performance was a sign of things to come. Either way, McCoy's heavy workload should keep him in the RB1 conversation heading into a Week 8 matchup with the Oakland Raiders.
-
Posted: 10/14/2017 8:35pm ET
Huddle Up: McCoy is off to a disappointing start, but he is still one of the few every-down backs in the NFL. With the Bills heading into their bye week, McCoy is a potential buy-low candidate.
-
Posted: 10/8/2017 6:32pm ET
Huddle Up: Shady rolled for 110 yards in Week 1 against the Jets, but he has managed 169 rushing yards over the past four outings. He also hasn't visited the end zone in five games, so that's a concern for fantasy owners, too. McCoy won't score until at least Week 7 now, as the team has a bye in Week 6.
-
Posted: 10/6/2017 1:41pm ET
Huddle Up: McCoy will continue to be a main part of the offense and could be more involved in the passing game with Jordan Matthews ruled out. He should be considered a No. 1 running back in all fantasy leagues.
-
Posted: 10/5/2017 2:04pm ET
Huddle Up: McCoy is a main focus in the offense and may see more work in the passing game with Jordan Matthews sidelined with an injury. He should be a No. 1 running back in all fantasy leagues.
-
Posted: 10/4/2017 1:47pm ET
Huddle Up: McCoy has been receiving at least 20 touches per week and has been in involved in the passing game in addition to the running game. He can be considered a No. 1 fantasy running back against the Cincinnati Bengals this week.
-
Posted: 10/1/2017 4:27pm ET
Huddle Up: McCoy didn't find the end zone, but at least he hit a bonus for some in fantasy leagues reward 100 or more total yards from scrimmage. He'll look to return to the end zone in Week 5 on the road against the Bengals.
-
Posted: 9/29/2017 12:05pm ET
Huddle Up: McCoy will receive his normal workload and will continue to be a focal point in the team's offense this week. He has been held to 30 rushing yards over the last two games but has been involved in the passing game. He can be considered a low-end No. 1 fantasy running back in Week 4.
-
Posted: 9/28/2017 12:05pm ET
Huddle Up: McCoy is an automatic start this week against a vulnerable Atlanta Falcons defense. If the Bills fall behind like they're expected to, look for a solid amount of dump offs to McCoy. Plug him in as your starting RB1 per usual.
-
Posted: 9/27/2017 12:30pm ET
Huddle Up: McCoy has one of the best matchups of any running back this week versus the Atlanta Falcons. As the Bills' primary offensive threat in both the running game and receiving game, McCoy is a no doubt RB1 option.
-
Posted: 9/24/2017 2:57pm ET
Huddle Up: Fantasy owners in PPR leagues weren't completely buried by the poor rushing performance, but those in standard formats were certainly not smiling. He'll look to get back on track in Week 4 in Atlanta.
-
Posted: 9/21/2017 12:13pm ET
Huddle Up: McCoy likely will receive his normal workload against a terrific Denver Broncos defense this week. He should continue to be a starting running back in all fantasy leagues but may see lower stats than usual against a tough matchup.
-
Posted: 9/20/2017 1:27pm ET
Huddle Up: It's typical for veterans get a mid-week practice off, preserving them for game day. Hopefully he studied up on game film while resting, as he was bottled up for just nine yards on 12 carries. He faces another tough matchup with the Broncos strolling into town in Week 3.
-
Posted: 9/17/2017 3:45pm ET
Huddle Up: The high number of catches and receiving yardage salvaged the stat line somewhat for those in PPR formats, but Shady's day was a complete disaster for those in standard formats. He'll face another tough defense in Week 3 against the visiting Broncos.
-
Posted: 9/15/2017 12:10pm ET
Huddle Up: McCoy received a day of rest Friday but should receive his normal workload against the Carolina Panthers. He should be a No. 1 running back in all leagues since he will be involved in the running and passing game.
