Green Bay Packers TE Jared Cook posted just one catch for seven yards in the Week 12 game against the Philadelphia Eagles Monday, Nov. 28. He was targeted twice.

Huddle Up: Cook went over 100 yards last week in Washington, but he was obviously held in check in this one. Inconsistency has been a huge problem over his career. He remains more of a TE2 in all fantasy leagues heading into Week 13 against the Houston Texans.

  • Posted: 11/21/2016 9:42am ET

Green Bay Packers TE Jared Cook returned from a seven-week absence due to a high-ankle sprain and playing 43-of-71 snaps in a Week 11 loss to the Washington Redskins. He finished with six catches on 11 targets for 105 yards and a touchdown.

Huddle Up: Remember when folks were pegging Cook as a late-round value pick this summer? He has always been capable of being one of the best fantasy tight ends in the league, but the quality of his quarterback play, lack of durability and his own inconsistency has almost always gotten in the way. Expect Cook to be a hot waiver-wire pickup this week, although he is a poor bet to produce in Week 12 against the Philadelphia Eagles' stingy tight end defense.

Updating previous reports, Green Bay Packers TE Jared Cook (ankle) has a high ankle sprain that could cost him some time.

Huddle Up: The Packers have a bye in Week 4, but Cook and counterpart Richard Rodgers are only fringe options to own in fantasy at this point.

  • Posted: 8/10/2016 8:59am ET

Green Bay Packers TE Jared Cook (foot) made a positive impression during his first training camp action, hauling in several impressive grabs in practice on Tuesday, Aug. 9.

Huddle Up: Signed to a free-agent deal during the offseason, Cook is competing with holdover Richard Rodgers for the No. 1 tight end job. If he can outlast Rodgers, Cook would be an interesting reserve with upside.

  • Posted: 8/9/2016 7:15pm ET

Green Bay Packers TE Jared Cook (foot) has been cleared and is coming off the Physically Unable to Perform list Tuesday, Aug. 9, according to a source.

Huddle Up: Cook still should have ample time to get up to speed in his new offense, and when he does, he'll make a the Pack's TE situation a fantasy-unfriendly platoon with incumbent Richard Rodgers.

  • Posted: 7/27/2016 2:52pm ET

Green Bay Packers TE Jared Cook (foot) does not have a timetable for a return from foot surgery, although a league source said Tuesday, July 26, that he might be on track to return by the second week of preseason.

Huddle Up: Cook could end up as a sneaky fantasy backup since he lands in Green Bay where he'll play with a top QB for the first time in his career. Cook topped out with a 49-759-3 stat line back in TEN but never but never managed more than a mediocre season with the Rams for three years. Aaron Rodgers is a major upgrade for Cook.

  • Posted: 7/3/2016 12:31pm ET

Green Bay Packers TE Richard Rodgers said he is working to improve as an all-around player, and he views the addition of TE Jared Cook as an opportunity to learn from a veteran.

Huddle Up: Cook's addition is a good thing for Aaron Rodgers and the Packers' offense, but it hurts the fantasy stock of both G.B. tight ends as neither is ranked among the top 29 in the Huddle preseason rankings.

  • Posted: 6/7/2016 12:18pm ET

Green Bay Packers TE Jared Cook (foot) is nursing a foot injury, but the team is not concerned about his outlook heading into the season. 'Jared Cook, we have no long-term concern with his situation. It will be good to have him back,' head coach Mike McCarthy said Monday, June 6.

Huddle Up: Cook is a veteran, and while it would be nice to get him some reps with Aaron Rodgers and the starters there should still be plenty of time to acclimate him to the first team in training camp.

  • Posted: 6/3/2016 2:45pm ET

Green Bay Packers TE Jared Cook (foot) underwent foot surgery this week and will miss the rest of the offseason program, according to multiple sources. The Packers are hoping he'll be back next month for training camp, though, and the surgery was called 'preventative.' Green Bay has big plans for Cook in 2016 after he caught only 39 passes in 2015 with the St. Louis Rams.

Huddle Up: Somewhat troubling news regarding the Pack's new toy and it will set him back some in learning the offense, but if the recovery goes well, he should be back in plenty of time to get acclimated during the preseason. Stay turned ...

St. Louis Rams TE Jared Cook said the Tennessee Titans' offense didn't fit him, and he likes what he sees in St. Louis. "I think I'm on an elevator going up," Cook said.

Huddle Up: Cook is unquestionably athletic and flashed glimpses of productivity in Tennessee. The Rams' passing attack is expected to take some major steps forward this season, making Cook a popular fantasy sleeper tight end.

  • Posted: 5/20/2016 11:23am ET

St. Louis Rams head coach Jeff Fisher said the team will move TE Jared Cook around this season. 'He's going to play all over the place,' Fisher said. 'We've even got him in the backfield, so we've got some good things for him.' Fisher said Cook and QB Sam Bradford have spent a lot of time together this offseason in order to build chemistry.

Huddle Up: Cook hit career highs with 49 grabs for 759 yards in 2011 and should eclipse those marks this season given the young and unproven weapons elsewhere in the St. Louis passing game.

  • Posted: 5/20/2016 11:23am ET

St. Louis Rams head coach Jeff Fisher and other team members see TE Jared Cook as a completely different player than the one he coached with the Tennessee Titans. "Absolutely--night and day difference," said CB Cortland Finnegan. "I'm going to be the first to say that I was maybe like, 'Ahh ...' (when the Rams signed Cook), but when he got there, he's been tearing it up like I've never seen. He's comfortable, he's back where he wants to be and I'm excited to have him."

Huddle Up: Plenty of excitement surrounding Cook as he reunites with his former coach in St. Louis. We saw flashes in Tennessee, enough to make Cook a popular fantasy pick heading into this season, and just about everything coming out of Rams camp in regards to Cook has been positive; that's a welcome combination.

  • Posted: 5/20/2016 11:23am ET

St. Louis Rams TE Jared Cook rolled up seven receptions for 141 yards and two scores in the Week 1 game against the Arizona Cardinals, marking the second-highest yardage total of his career. It was also the first multi-score of his career.

Huddle Up: Cook's day would have been even bigger had he not been stripped of a would-be touchdown on a nice hustle play by Tyrann Mathieu. Nonetheless, Cook finally appears to be delivering on the potential he flashed from time to time in Tennessee.

  • Posted: 5/20/2016 11:23am ET

St. Louis Rams TE Jared Cook hauled in a 2-yard touchdown in the Week 17 game against the Seattle Seahawks, his fifth of the season. His five touchdowns is a career best.

Huddle Up: Okay, so maybe five touchdowns isn't the breakout campaign many were predicting for Cook this year, especially when only three of them came over the final 16 weeks of the season. But it's a start, as we saw plenty of glimpses of the athleticism that makes Cook such an intriguing talent.

  • Posted: 5/20/2016 11:23am ET

Free-agent TE Jared Cook (Rams) visited the Green Bay Packers on Tuesday, March 15, according to a source.

Huddle Up: It's rare for the Pack to sign outside free-agent help, but Cook could be an intriguing add and complement to Richard Rodgers at the TE position.

  • Posted: 5/20/2016 11:23am ET

Free-agent TE Jared Cook (Rams) signed a one-year, $3.6 million deal with the Green Bay Packers Monday, March 28.

Huddle Up: The Packers' offense has been in need of a pass-catching tight end for a couple years now; it's not out of the realm of possibility that Cook can provide Aaron Rodgers with such a target and turn in a solid fantasy season in the process.

  • Posted: 2/19/2016 9:57pm ET

Los Angeles Rams TE Jared Cook was released Friday, Feb. 19.

Huddle Up: Cook was released following his 39-481-0 season in 2015, leaving 2011 second-round pick Lance Kendricks alone atop the depth chart. Expect the Rams, though, to definitely add another tight end through the draft or free agency.

  • Posted: 2/16/2016 5:05pm ET

Los Angeles Rams TE Jared Cook could be a cap cut this offseason, according to ESPN.com's Nick Wagoner.

Huddle Up: Cook caught a career-high 52 passes for 634 yards and three TDs in 2014 but slipped to 39-481-0 this past season, and with Lance Kendricks already on board, Cook very well could be looking for a new home.
