  • Posted: 10/14/2018 5:47pm ET

Oakland Raiders TE Jared Cook posted two receptions for just 10 yards on two targets in Week 6 against the Seattle Seahawks in London.

Huddle Up: Cook has exploded for some big fantasy lines this season, but he has also had a couple of duds. If you normally depend upon him you'll need to make other plans in Week 7 with his team on a bye.

  • Posted: 10/7/2018 8:16pm ET

Oakland Raiders TE Jared Cook caught four of his six targets for 20 yards in a 26-10 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 5.

Huddle Up: It was Cook's lowest output of the year, but he continues to see a steady amount of targets. He's locked in as a TE1 heading into a Week 6 matchup with the Seahawks.

  • Posted: 10/6/2018 10:20pm ET

Oakland Raiders TE Jared Cook has seven targets inside the 10 through four games, tied with the Los Angeles Chargers' Melvin Gordon for the most such looks in the league.

Huddle Up: For some perspective, Cook was targeted only nine times inside the red zone all of last season. For more perspective, Jimmy Graham saw a league-high 16 targets inside the 10 in 2017. Cook scored his first two touchdowns of the season in Week 4, and this kind of usage in the scoring area bodes well for him moving forward. Owners obviously should not hesitate to start the No. 1 PPR tight end in fantasy, especially considering the Chargers surrendered 125 yards and a touchdown to George Kittle in Week 4.

  • Posted: 9/30/2018 8:38pm ET

Oakland Raiders TE Jared Cook finished with eight receptions for 110 yards and two scores on a game-high 13 targets in Week 4 against the Cleveland Browns.

Huddle Up: The scores were the first of the year for Cook, and it was his second 100-yard game in four outings this season. He has managed at least four receptions in all four outings, re-emerging as a solid TE1 in most fantasy formats. The Raiders travel to meet the Chargers in Week 5.

  • Posted: 9/23/2018 5:50pm ET

Oakland Raiders TE Jared Cook posted five receptions for just 31 yards on six targets in Week 3 against the Miami Dolphins.

Huddle Up: Cook took a bit of a step back in Week 3 after his giant game in Week 1. He had nine grabs for 180 yards on 12 targets in the opener, but just nine catches for 80 yards on 10 targets over the past two outings. He still remains a decent low-end TE1 going forward.

  • Posted: 9/16/2018 11:39pm ET

Oakland Raiders TE Jared Cook caught four passes for 49 yards, both good for second-most on the team, during the club's Week 2 loss to the Denver Broncos.

Huddle Up: You knew Cook wasn't going to match his nine-catch, 180-yard opener, but his output was at least respectable. While nine years in the NFL suggest Cook isn't a starting fantasy TE, he's a borderline option as long as he keeps producing.

  • Posted: 9/10/2018 10:58pm ET

Oakland Raiders TE Jared Cook hauled in nine receptions for 180 yards on 12 targets in the Week 1 game against the Los Angeles Rams on Monday, Sept. 10.

Huddle Up: Cook is going to be a highly coveted player off the waiver wire if he is still available in fantasy leagues. Head coach Jon Gruden had David Carr find the tight end early and often and Cook was on a mission, bulling people over and running hard. He'll look to keep it going in Week 2 against the Denver Broncos.

  • Posted: 12/29/2017 4:46pm ET

Oakland Raiders TE Jared Cook (wrist) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 29, and is not on the injury report for Week 17.

Huddle Up: Cook has been held to two or fewer catches in five of his last six games and has under 40 yards in all five of those games. Owners probably can find better options for their lineups and can avoid Cook.

  • Posted: 12/28/2017 4:31pm ET

Oakland Raiders TE Jared Cook (wrist) was limited in practice for the second straight day Thursday, Dec. 28.

Huddle Up: Cook has failed to reach 20 receiving yards in four of his last five games, and over his last two, he's totaled just three catches for 32 yards. Thus, even if he's out there on Sunday, he's not worth the trouble in Oakland's final game of the season, especially given Derek Carr's weak play as of late.

  • Posted: 12/27/2017 4:34pm ET

Oakland Raiders TE Jared Cook (wrist) was limited during practice Wednesday, Dec. 27.

Huddle Up: Cook has been held to under 20 yards in four of the last five games and has been targeted only six times in the last two games. Owners should be able to find better options to use this week.

  • Posted: 12/25/2017 10:20pm ET

Oakland Raiders TE Jared Cook finished with just one catch on two targets for 15 yards in the club's Week 16 loss Monday, Dec. 25, against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Huddle Up: Cook has proven to be one of the more volatile tight ends in fantasy this season, and obviously, this disastrous performance registered on the lower end of the spectrum. Quarterback Derek Carr had arguably his worst game of the year, though, so not all of the blame can be put on Cook for his own off night.

  • Posted: 12/23/2017 12:52pm ET

Oakland Raiders TE Jared Cook (wrist) fully participated in practice Saturday, Dec. 23, and are not on the injury report for Week 16.

Huddle Up: Cook has been targeted at least five times in seven of the last eight games but has posted at least 50 yards in only four of those games. He has a chance to be a low-end No. 1 tight end in deeper leagues, but owners in most leagues should have better options available.

  • Posted: 12/22/2017 3:38pm ET

Oakland Raiders TE Jared Cook (wrist) was listed as a limited participant in practice Friday, Dec. 22.

Huddle Up: Cook has the potential to be a TE1 in this offense, but he disappointed in Week 15 with just two grabs for 17 yards after his huge game in Kansas City. He is a risky fantasy play heading into Week 16, and should be treated more as a TE2.

  • Posted: 12/21/2017 4:55pm ET

Oakland Raiders TE Jared Cook (wrist) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 21.

Huddle Up: Cook has been on a bit of a cold streak recently with 20 yards or less in three of the last four games. He probably can be avoided in most leagues this week because of his tough matchup.

  • Posted: 12/15/2017 2:24pm ET

Oakland Raiders TE Jared Cook (wrist) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 15, and is not on the injury report for Week 15.

Huddle Up: Cook had one of his best games of the season in Week 14 and should be involved in the passing game this week with Amari Cooper out. He could be considered a low-end No. 1 tight end in deeper leagues.

  • Posted: 12/14/2017 4:18pm ET

Oakland Raiders TE Jared Cook (wrist) was a limited participant in practice for the second straight day Thursday, Dec. 14.

Huddle Up: Cook is coming off his best game in weeks, when he posted five catches for 75 yards and a score opposite the rival Chiefs. With Amari Cooper (ankle) likely out, the 30-year-old will be on the TE1 radar, though he's more of a lower-end option. Even so, Cook usually draws a fine amount of attention, as he's garnered five or more targets in each of his last seven contests.

  • Posted: 12/1/2017 6:46pm ET

Oakland Raiders TE Jared Cook faces the New York Giants in Week 13, and the Giants have allowed an opposing tight end to score a touchdown in nine of their 11 games this season.

Huddle Up: Cook has already been one of Oakland's steadiest weapons in the passing game, and the friendly matchup and suspension of Michael Crabtree make him a must-start TE1 in Week 13.

  • Posted: 11/26/2017 7:16pm ET

Oakland Raiders TE Jared Cook caught one pass on five targets for one yard in a 21-14 win over the Denver Broncos in Week 12.

Huddle Up: Cook has been one of the pleasant surprises this year, but this was a forgettable performance. He has a good chance to return to the TE1 ranks against the New York Giants in Week 13, especially if Amari Cooper is not out of concussion protocol or Michael Crabtree receives a suspension for a Week 12 altercation.

  • Posted: 11/18/2017 8:58pm ET

Oakland Raiders TE Jared Cook's ability to stretch defenses down the field is a luxury from the position, according to QB Derek Carr, and Carr said he is comfortable throwing to Cook no matter who is covering him.

Huddle Up: Cook has two 100-yard performances in his last three games, and he has topped 50 yards in three straight. Another week of TE1 production should be on tap against the New England Patriots in Week 11.

  • Posted: 11/6/2017 5:36am ET

Oakland Raiders TE Jared Cook had season bests with eight catches for 126 yards Sunday, Nov. 5, against the Miami Dolphins.

Huddle Up: He has had three pretty good games in a row, and he's in the low-end TE1 mix moving up.

  • Posted: 10/29/2017 2:50pm ET

Oakland Raiders TE Jared Cook totaled four receptions for 57 yards on five targets in Week 8 against the Buffalo Bills.

Huddle Up: Cook took a bit of a step back after his big performance last Thursday against Kansas City, but he did manage to rack up two or more receptions for his eighth game in eight tries. He has re-emerged as a dependable low-end TE1 in all fantasy formats heading into Week 9 against the Dolphins on Monday night.

  • Posted: 10/19/2017 9:27pm ET

Oakland Raiders TE Jared Cook logged six receptions (on seven targets) for 107 yards Thursday, Oct. 19, against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Huddle Up: As with teammates David Carr and Amari Cooper, Cook enjoyed his best game of the year Thursday night, nearly doubling his previous high for yardage. We saw big games from Cook in Green Bay last year, but never with any consistency. So while Cook can be used in advantageous matchups he's by no means a weekly option at this time.
