Oakland Raiders TE Jared Cook racked up four receptions for a team-high 43 yards and his first touchdown of the season in Week 3 against the Washington Redskins.

Huddle Up: Cook was the only fantasy bright spot in an otherwise dismal night for the Oakland offense. They face another tough matchup in Week 4 against the Denver Broncos. He remains more of a TE2 despite the score.

Oakland Raiders TE Jared Cook (shoulder) was limited in practice for the second straight day Thursday, Sept. 21.

Huddle Up: The nine-year veteran should be good to go for Sunday, as this seems like it'll be typical concerning his practice habits for the duration of the campaign. He's on pace for a career high in receptions in the early going, and with a nice matchup on tap versus the Redskins, he could end up being a very useful TE1 this weekend.

  • Posted: 9/20/2017 4:48pm ET

Oakland Raiders TE Jared Cook (shoulder) was limited during practice Wednesday, Sept. 20.

Huddle Up: Cook has been a solid part of the passing game and has recorded nine catches and 81 yards in the first two weeks of the season. Cook should be on fantasy rosters but probably can stay on the bench this week.

  • Posted: 8/10/2017 10:14am ET

Oakland Raiders TE Jared Cook has been thrown to often by QB Derek Carr this offseason, according to the San Francisco Chronicle's Vic Tafur. Carr is excited about what Cook brings to the table. 'When you add a guy like Jared Cook that runs a 4.3 [40-yard dash] or a 4.4 and he can outrun [defensive backs], [you] can throw him out wide and run different kinds of routes with him,' Carr said. 'We can do that kind of stuff because he is that talented.'

Huddle Up: Cook actually ran a 4.49 40-yard dash, but Carr's point is taken. Cook does give the Raiders another downfield weapon. The problem is Cook isn't even technically starting, at least not yet. Lee Smith was listed as the starting tight end on Oakland's initial depth chart. Cook does possess the most fantasy value among Raiders tight ends, though.

  • Posted: 8/7/2017 11:16am ET

Oakland Raiders TE Lee Smith is listed as the starting tight end ahead of TE Jared Cook on the Raiders' initial depth chart.

Huddle Up: This is somewhat of a surprise. Cook is in his first offseason with the Raiders, though, so he may still be acclimating to a new offense, personnel, etc. Cook has more fantasy upside, but Smith is a deep sleeper now given his No. status in a high-scoring offense.

  • Posted: 6/2/2017 7:44pm ET

Oakland Raiders TE Jared Cook will be a matchup problem over the middle and help create space for the rest of the offensive playmakers, according to quarterbacks coach Todd Downing. 'He's a matchup nightmare for linebackers and most safeties,' Downing said. 'He really brings a sense in the passing game of a mismatch that we can count on week in and week out.'

Huddle Up: There is no denying that Cook has the physical tools to be a weapon in the passing game, but consistent production has eluded him throughout his career. Consider him a high-upside TE2.

  • Posted: 3/16/2017 7:52pm ET

Oakland Raiders TE Jared Cook said his plan is to 'make plays and catch touchdowns' for his new team.

Huddle Up: Cook has the most upside among Oakland's tight ends, but consistent production has always been an issue. Even if he starts, he should be drafted as a TE2.

  • Posted: 3/13/2017 5:13pm ET

Free-agent TE Jared Cook (Packers) is scheduled to meet with the Seattle Seahawks, according to sources.

Huddle Up: Cook will have a new team this offseason and the Seahawks are his first visit. The Seahawks have Jimmy Graham on the roster but may want to use two tight ends in their passing game. Cook's value probably would drop a bit if he signs with Seattle but probably should be considered a low-end No. 1 tight end if he starts for a team.

  • Posted: 3/10/2017 3:07pm ET

Free-agent TE Jared Cook (Packers) does not plan to re-sign with the Green Bay Packers, according to a source.

Huddle Up: Cook should be able to find a starting job with a team this offseason and can be a low-end No. 1 tight end depending on his team. Richard Rodgers appears to be the leading candidate to start for the Packers but is only a No. 2 fantasy tight end.

  • Posted: 3/5/2017 9:09am ET

Impending free-agent TE Jared Cook (Packers) is still in talks with the Green Bay Packers about returning, but there hasn't been much progress because the franchise are 'being frugal', according to Bleacher Report's Jason Cole.

Huddle Up: It isn't overly surprising general manager Ted Thompson is taking this approach, as Cook is 30 years old with a long injury history and should be willing to accept a team-friendly contract in order to keep their Rodgers as his quarterback. Assuming Cook accepts a short-term deal with the Packers in the coming days, he could flirt with low-end TE1 status when healthy.

  • Posted: 1/27/2017 7:41pm ET

Green Bay Packers impending free-agent TE Jared Cook is one of the players who will be a priority during free agency, and the front office is expected to be more aggressive pursuing free agents this offseason.

Huddle Up: Cook hit his stride down the stretch, seeing at least eight targets in five of the final six games. If he re-signs with the Packers, he will have a chance to sneak into TE1 territory in 2017.

  • Posted: 1/22/2017 3:39pm ET

Green Bay Packers TE Jared Cook caught seven passes for 78 yards and a touchdown in the NFC Championship Game on Sunday, Jan. 22, against the Atlanta Falcons.

Huddle Up: Atlanta had been weak against the position all year, but Cook's involvement has been steady in recent weeks. The Packers will have a decision to make as to re-signing the soon-to-be unrestricted free agent.

  • Posted: 1/15/2017 5:10pm ET

Green Bay Packers TE Jared Cook finished with six catches on a team-high 11 targets for 106 yards and a touchdown in a 34-31 win over the Dallas Cowboys Sunday, Jan. 15.

Huddle Up: Cook has become a featured part of Green Bay's passing attack in recent weeks, and he looks like a strong DFS play heading into the conference title game, especially if Jordy Nelson is still sidelined.

  • Posted: 1/8/2017 5:18pm ET

Green Bay Packers TE Jared Cook finished with five catches for 48 yards in a 38-13 win over the New York Giants Sunday, Jan. 8.

Huddle Up: Cook has carved out a steady role of late, and he now has 18 grabs over his last four games dating back to the end of the regular season. With limited options available at this stage of the playoffs, Cook should be a great DFS value play at tight end in the divisional round.

  • Posted: 12/18/2016 5:28pm ET

Green Bay Packers TE Jared Cook managed six receptions for 85 yards on eight targets in the Week 15 game against the Chicago Bears.

Huddle Up: Cook entered the game with five grabs for 41 yards on eight targets over the past three games, so it has been difficult to suggest him in fantasy leagues. He'll have a big game, and then follow it up with a stinker or two. Start him at your own risk in Week 16 against the Minnesota Vikings. He had four catches for 31 yards on six targets in the first meeting with Minnesota Sept. 18.

  • Posted: 12/15/2016 5:19pm ET

Green Bay Packers TE Jared Cook (chest) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Dec. 15.

Huddle Up: Cook hasn't developed into a reliable offensive weapon for the Packers this season, and he can't be counted on in Week 15 with the fantasy playoffs in full swing.

  • Posted: 12/11/2016 3:31pm ET

Green Bay Packers TE Jared Cook (chest) exited the Week 14 game against the Seattle Seahawks due to a chest injury and he will not return.

Huddle Up: Cook managed just one grab for 15 yards on two targets, so not a good fantasy output. Avoid using him again until he can officially return and prove his health in a full game without any setbacks.

  • Posted: 12/4/2016 6:05pm ET

Green Bay Packers TE Jared Cook posted three receptions for 19 yards on four targets in the Week 13 game against the Houston Texans.

Huddle Up: After hitting triple digits in receiving yardage with a score in Week 11 in Washington, Cook has just four grabs for 26 yards on six targets over the past two outings. He still cannot be trusted on a regular basis in most fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 11/28/2016 9:25pm ET

Green Bay Packers TE Jared Cook posted just one catch for seven yards in the Week 12 game against the Philadelphia Eagles Monday, Nov. 28. He was targeted twice.

Huddle Up: Cook went over 100 yards last week in Washington, but he was obviously held in check in this one. Inconsistency has been a huge problem over his career. He remains more of a TE2 in all fantasy leagues heading into Week 13 against the Houston Texans.

  • Posted: 11/21/2016 9:42am ET

Green Bay Packers TE Jared Cook returned from a seven-week absence due to a high-ankle sprain and playing 43-of-71 snaps in a Week 11 loss to the Washington Redskins. He finished with six catches on 11 targets for 105 yards and a touchdown.

Huddle Up: Remember when folks were pegging Cook as a late-round value pick this summer? He has always been capable of being one of the best fantasy tight ends in the league, but the quality of his quarterback play, lack of durability and his own inconsistency has almost always gotten in the way. Expect Cook to be a hot waiver-wire pickup this week, although he is a poor bet to produce in Week 12 against the Philadelphia Eagles' stingy tight end defense.

  • Posted: 9/27/2016 5:41am ET

Updating previous reports, Green Bay Packers TE Jared Cook (ankle) has a high ankle sprain that could cost him some time.

Huddle Up: The Packers have a bye in Week 4, but Cook and counterpart Richard Rodgers are only fringe options to own in fantasy at this point.
