The Tacoma News Tribune reports Seattle Seahawks head coach Jim Mora said he was unhappy with PK Olindo Mare after Mare missed two kicks in the team's Week 3 loss. 'If you're a kicker in the National Football League you should make those kicks -- bottom line,' Mora said. 'End of story. Period. No excuses. No wind, doesn't matter. You've gotta make those kicks. Especially in a game like this, where you're kicking and fighting and scratching your tail off and you miss those kicks, it's not acceptable. Not acceptable. Absolutely not acceptable.'
The Huddle Take: Sounds like Seattle may be auditioning some kickers pretty soon.

The Seattle Times reports Seattle Seahawks PK Olindo Mare won the team's kicking battle.
The Huddle Take: Reported previously, Mare wins the job, and could be a nice, reliable starter for a team that could stall in scoring range quite often this season due to a shaky running game.

Danny O'Neil, of The Seattle Times, reports Seattle Seahawks PK Olindo Mare may have won the team's kicking job after making his only field goal attempt and having three of his four kickoffs go deep in the end zone for touchbacks. None of PK Brandon Coutu's three kickoffs went for touchbacks.
The Huddle Take: Apparently Coutu has failed yet again to unseat Mare. If the Seahawks opt not to carry a second kicker, expect Coutu to start making the rounds of teams dissatisfied with their current booter.

The Tacoma News Tribune reports Seattle Seahawks head coach Jim Mora said the competition between PK Brandon Coutu and PK Olindo Mare is still very close.
The Huddle Take: It would be advisable to stay away from the Seattle kicker on draft day. As the season progresses the winner will be a nice bye week option, but don't ask for much more.
