The Associated Press reports Minnesota Vikings SS Darren Sharper (ankle) suffered a high right ankle sprain during the team's playoff game.
The Huddle Take: Sharper will have plenty of time to rest his ankle after the Vikings' first-round exit from the postseason. Sharper is also a free agent this offseason, and his absence in Minnesota's loss to the Eagles may have helped his cause because the Vikings were unable to cover the middle of the field with rookie Tyrell Johnson, Sharper's heir apparent, replacing the injured veteran.
