Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell said he feels he will be even better in 2017 because he is already familiar with QB Andy Dalton and the offense.

Huddle Up: LaFell finished with 862 yards and six touchdowns in his first year in Cincinnati, and if the Bengals don't add any more receivers this offseason, he should be a useful WR4.

  • Posted: 12/25/2016 3:36am ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell caught six of his 10 targeted passes for 130 yards and a touchdown in a 12-10 loss to the Houston Texans.

Huddle Up: One of those passes was an 86-yard touchdown effort from Andy Dalton. Take that away and LaFell still has five catches for 44 yards. Not the best numbers, but no slouch either. Keep an eye on LaFell because he and Andy Dalton seem to have developed a rapport in A.J. Green's absence.

  • Posted: 12/15/2016 6:06pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell (knee) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Dec. 15.

Huddle Up: LaFell's role in the passing game has been limited, and he could see even fewer touches if A.J. Green returns. You should be able to find a better option than LaFell in Week 15.

  • Posted: 12/9/2016 2:46pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 9, and is not on the injury report for Week 14.

Huddle Up: LaFell is coming off one of his best games of the season where he had 95 yards and a touchdown. He will continue to have a solid role in the passing game with A.J. Green out and has a favorable matchup in Week 14. Owners in deeper leagues could consider LaFell as a flex option.

  • Posted: 12/8/2016 6:02pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals QB Brandon LaFell (knee) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Dec. 8.

Huddle Up: With A.J. Green sidelined, LaFell should be one of the main options in the passing game when the Bengals face the Browns in Week 14. Take advantage of the friendly matchup and use him as a flex option.

  • Posted: 12/7/2016 2:00pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell (knee) was limited during practice Wednesday, Dec. 7.

Huddle Up: LaFell played well in Week 13 and finished with 95 yards and one touchdown on five catches. He will continue to be one of the top receivers for the Bengals while A.J. Green is out and can be a flex option this week against the Cleveland Browns.

  • Posted: 12/4/2016 8:29pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell posted five receptions for 95 yards and a touchdown in the Week 13 game against the Philadelphia Eagles. He was targeted a team-high seven times.

Huddle Up: LaFell just missed out on a 100-yard day, but looked solid as the team's No. 1 receiver with A.J. Green still on the shelf. He remains a decent WR3 heading into Week 14.

  • Posted: 11/24/2016 7:16pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell (knee) returned to practice and was a full participant Thursday, Nov. 24.

Huddle Up: LaFell should see an uptick in targets in Week 12 with A.J. Green likely out, but he is a shot-in-the-dark play in DFS games.

  • Posted: 11/23/2016 1:37pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell (knee) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 23.

Huddle Up: Owners will need to check on LaFell's status later in the week to see if he is in danger of missing Week 12. He should receive more targets with A.J. Green sidelined but has been held to 47 yards in the last three games. He could be a flex option in deeper leagues if he plays, but owners in most leagues should be able to find better options.

  • Posted: 11/14/2016 9:00pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell posted just one catch for nine yards on two targets in the Week 10 game against the New York Giants Monday, Nov. 10.

Huddle Up: Before heading to London, LaFell had four touchdowns in three games, but he has just two catches for 15 yards on four targets over the past two outings. He has disappeared from the offensive plan, and fantasy owners can return him to the waiver wire now.

  • Posted: 10/23/2016 2:27pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell caught four passes for 82 yards and one touchdown against the Cleveland Browns in Week 7.

Huddle Up: LaFell has caught four touchdowns in his last three games and has been targeted at least five times in the last four games. He could be a flex option in some deeper leagues because of his touchdown streak but is not a weekly starting option.

  • Posted: 10/16/2016 10:20pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell had two receptions for 13 yards and a touchdown in the Week 6 game against the New England Patriots. He was targeted five times.

Huddle Up: LaFell didn't do much against his former team, but he was able to find the end zone for the third time in two games. He remains more of a low-end WR3 in fantasy leagues of 12 or more teams heading into Week 7 against the Cleveland Browns.

  • Posted: 10/9/2016 9:56pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell rolled up eight catches for 68 yards and a pair of touchdowns in Week 5 against the Dallas Cowboys. He was targeted a game-high 11 times.

Huddle Up: LaFell has held off rookie Tyler Boyd for the No. 2 job in Cincinnati opposite A.J. Green and he is not showing any signs of relinquishing his hold on the job. He remains a decent WR4 in most fantasy formats.

  • Posted: 8/16/2016 2:33pm ET

Updating a previous report, Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell (hand) is still expected to be ready by Week 1 despite a torn ligament in his hand, according to head coach Marvin Lewis.

Huddle Up: This is the best-case scenario for LaFell and even Andy Dalton fantasy owners, but then again if you listen to the optimistic team-speak, most every player dealing with an injury in Mid-August is "expected to be ready for Week 1." We'll see ...

  • Posted: 8/16/2016 12:25pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell (hand) has a torn ligament in his hand, and he could require surgery. The surgery isn't expected to be of the season-ending variety.

Huddle Up: This opens the door for Tyler Boyd to seize command of the No. 2 job in Cincy. LaFell's fantasy worth depends on his prognosis, but he is no longer draftable. Nab Boyd as a WR4 with upside.

  • Posted: 8/9/2016 9:05am ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell has struggled at times in camp with drops and getting open, but he showed improvement Monday, Aug. 8. Beat writer Geoff Hobson says LaFell has been flashing more and more each practice lately.

Huddle Up: LaFell is expected to start opposite A.J. Green, and he could reemerged as a legitimate WR3 or flex option in PPR, especially if he is forced to step up his game with teams electing to double Green or concentrate their better coverage on Green and Tyler Eifert. Drops are a concern with LaFell, but he is being criminally undervalued as a routinely undrafted player.

  • Posted: 8/8/2016 6:25pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell is listed ahead of rookie WR Tyler Boyd on the Begnals' initial depth chart.

Huddle Up: No shocker that the veteran is ahead of the rookie at this point, but expect a tight competition in the first three preseason games.

  • Posted: 6/22/2016 9:47am ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell is feeling confident with QB Andy Dalton, and two continue to build rapport. 'I've been working with (Dalton) for a little over two months now so we've got the timing down and it's been showing in practice every day,' LaFell said Tuesday, June 21.

Huddle Up: With Marvin Jones and Mohamed Sanu gone and Tyler Eifert injured, Dalton is looking for a pass-catcher to step up alongside AJ Green. If LaFell becomes Dalton's security blanket it could translate into him being a solid value play in larger fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 6/17/2016 2:25pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell has picked up the offense quickly, QB Andy Dalton said, and LaFell said he is ready to take advantage if defenses double team WR A.J. Green.

Huddle Up: LaFell, the N.E. castoff, is filling the role filled in recent seasons by Marvin Jones and Mohamed Sanu, and he could be in for a heavier early-season workload than expected if TE Tyler Eifert can't recover in time for the start of the season.
