Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins was benched in the Week 11 game against the Oakland Raiders due to multiple mental errors. 'Bottom line, DeAndre made a lot of mistakes early in the game, so we gave another guy a chance to play,' head coach Gary Kubiak said Sunday, Nov. 17.

Huddle Up: Kubiak had the quick hook working Sunday, benching both Hopkins and quarterback Case Keenum in a winnable game. Fantasy owners have to hope Hopkins can reduce the mental errors and get back on the field--and that Keenum returns to the helm as well to provide a bump in fantasy value to the Houston passing game.

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins (concussion) fully participated in practice Saturday, Sept. 7, and is listed as probable for Week 1.

Huddle Up: Hopkins should make a fantasy impact as a rookie but his concussion put him a little behind the last couple of weeks. Fantasy owners with other options will want to leave him on the bench this week.

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins (concussion) has been completely cleared to return to practice. There is a good chance Hopkins will play in the team's preseason game Thursday, Aug. 29.

Huddle Up: Those who were able to grab Hopkins a round or two later in their drafts simply because he missed the team's third preseason game, consider it a stroke of good fortune.

The NFL Network's Jason La Canfora thinks WR DeAndre Hopkins (concussion) has big things in store this year when he returns to full health because QB Matt Schaub has developed some nice chemistry with him.

Huddle Up: Hopkins finally gives the Texans a legitimate No. 2 receiver to go along with Andre Johnson. He currently has an ADP of Round 10 but Hopkins gives fantasy owners a WR3/4 with a lot of upside.

Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak said WR DeAndre Hopkins (concussion) will not play in the third preseason game because he is still in stage one of the NFL's five-stage concussion protocol.

Huddle Up: Fantasy GMs were hoping to see Hopkins play with the team's starters in the key tune-up game of the preseason, but many might have to draft the rookie on what they already know. He's currently going off the board as the 44th WR selected on average, according to

Updating a previous report, Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak confirmed Saturday, Aug. 17, that WR DeAndre Hopkins suffered a concussion in the preseason game against the Miami Dolphins. 'He's fine,' Kubiak said. 'Obviously, we'll put him through the protocol.'

Huddle Up: This will somewhat slow the fantasy momentum Hopkins had been building this preseason, but even if he winds up missing 1 or both of the team's remaining preseason games he figures to be good to go come Week 1, barring of course, any unforeseen setbacks in his post-concussion recovery.
