The Biloxi Sun-Herald reports New Orleans Saints WR David Patten (groin) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 8.
The Huddle Take: With Lance Moore and Robert Meacham playing well in the Saints offense, don't expect New Orleans to rush David Patten back into the lineup. It was evident in the preseason that the Saints were going to give Mecham and Moore ample playing time to see how they can perform in their offensive plans. Patten should be considered the fourth best receiving option on the team at the present time.

The Biloxi Sun-Herald reports New Orleans Saints WR David Patten (groin) missed the team's practice Thursday, Oct. 2, and he is out for Week 5.
The Huddle Take: Removing Patten from the mix is actually good news from a fantasy perspective, since the Saints will produce plenty of passing yards and there's now one fewer receiver to claim a share. Lance Moore and Devery Henderson are the likely starters, with increased looks for Robert Meachem as well.

The Biloxi Sun-Herald reports New Orleans Saints WR David Patten (groin) played a couple of series in the team's Week 4 game but left the game early.
The Huddle Take: Another injury for a New Orleans player. Imagine that. It is becoming more common to be an injured Saint starter than a healthy one the last year or two. Unfortunately for Patten he missed a great opportunity to take advantage of Colston's absence. Be cautious and watch the news reports before putting him in your lineup again.

The Biloxi Sun-Herald reports New Orleans Saints WR David Patten (groin) was limited in practice Friday, Sept. 26. He is listed as questionable for the teams Week 4 game and will likely be a game-time decision.
The Huddle Take: Robert Meachem and Devery Henderson will get more opportunities should Patten be unable to go. Both of them have strong sleeper potential this week at home against the 49ers.

The Biloxi Sun-Herald reports New Orleans Saints WR David Patten (groin) missed the team's practice Thursday, Sept. 25. His status for Week 4 doesn't sound promising.
The Huddle Take: Fantasy owners should expect Robert Meacham and Lance Moore to be the primary targets along with Devery Henderson for New Orleans this week. The Saints have managed to continue to put consistent points on the board this year despite keys injuries to Marcus Colston and David Patten in the passing game. The only problem here is deciding who the main benificiary will be this week. Meacham is the odds on favorite and could turn in a nice game against the 49ers.

The Biloxi Sun-Herald reports New Orleans Saints WR David Patten (groin) tweaked his groin Week 3, but he never left the game. Patten said he shouldn't miss any time and called it day-to-day.
The Huddle Take: Patten is a tough receiver and if he says he'll play, he'll play. The team was a bit 'off' this week on the passing game, but expect him to play a bigger role in the next couple of weeks as Marquis Colston's injury status continues.
