Updating previous reports, the Baltimore Ravens have announced they signed free-agent QB Todd Bouman (Jaguars), Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
The Huddle Take: Bouman is a nice addition to a Ravens team that is in need of some veteran leadership and depth at the quarterback position. He will likely start out third on the depth chart but realistically could ascend to the starting quarterback by the midseason if the rookie Flacco struggles. Troy Smith is also still in the mix but has been limited of late because of tonsilitis which has more than likely cost him the starting job to begin the regular season.

The Baltimore Sun reports the Baltimore Ravens have not signed QB Todd Bouman (Jaguars), contrary to published reports. The Ravens are still involved in negotiations with Bouman and QB Joey Harrington (Falcons). They could sign either by Tuesday, Sept. 2, evening.
The Huddle Take: Look for the Ravens to sign Todd Bouman as early as today with rumors circling that Joey Harrington has taken himself out of the picture in Baltimore and may be leaning toward signing with the New Orleans Saints. Either way, Bouman or Harrington will be little more than a backup wherever they end up and not worthy of fantasy consideration at the present time.
