Fantasy Outlook
Last year Manning ranked #2 with 4500 passing yards and attempts (571), completions (393) and touchdown passes (33). He’s thrown for more than 4000 yards in ten of his 12 seasons and has never passed for less than 3700 including his rookie season. He’s also passed for more than 30 touchdowns in four of the last five years. There’s no need to think about it – Manning is perhaps the lowest risk player you could draft. He even gets back Anthony Gonzalez and will have even more viable receivers than last year.

Indianapolis Colts QB Peyton Manning said the neck surgery he had in March has alleviated symptoms that made him get three treatments a day on his neck before the surgery, according to ESPN.com's Paul Kuharsky. "I feel good out there throwing, I feel good in my lifting, I feel like everything went according to plan. I'm very relieved of that and I no longer have to get the treatment that I was having to get for the past four years," Manning said.
Huddle Up: A healthy Manning is a happy Manning, and a happy Manning is a very good thing to have on your fantasy team.

At some point in the next few months, Indianapolis Colts QB Peyton Manning is expected to be the highest-paid player in league history, according to Mike Chappell, of the Indianapolis Star. The contract, perhaps in the five-year, $100 million neighborhood, will almost certainly ensure Manning finishes his career with the Colts.
Huddle Up: Would there really be any doubt that Manning will finish his career in Indianapolis? It certainly appears that the future Hall of Famer will not only get a huge contract but a tremendous supporting cast which could take the Colts a long way toward another possible championship this year. Fantasy owners should look for the Colts to once again provide huge numbers for fantasy teams with all of its skill position players.

The Indianapolis Colts have announced QB Peyton Manning (neck) underwent a procedure Tuesday, March 2, to relieve pain in his neck caused by a pinched nerve. The pain has existed intermittently for the last four years. The issue is believed to be resolved. Manning fully expects to participate in the team's offseason workouts.
Huddle Up: Manning has been nothing short of incredible throughout his NFL career despite the pinched nerve in his neck which certainly did not seem to affect his play. Manning getting this taken care of should only help him to play at an even higher level in 2010.
Posted: 2/3/2010 9:54pm et
ESPN.com, reports Indianapolis Colts QB Peyton Manning's 2004 contract extension had predetermined playing-time incentives that allowed for the final two years of the pact to be voided. As a result, 2010 is the final year of Manning's existing contract. As reported, the Colts plan to open contract discussions with him following the season to make him a Colt for the remainder of his career.
Huddle Up: Manning is the franchise for Indy and it would be hard to imagine the Colts not getting a deal done with Manning in short order. Expect the star quarterback to be a Colt as long as he remains in the league.
Posted: 1/9/2010 11:43am et
The Associated Press reports Indianapolis Colts QB Peyton Manning has been named The AP NFL Most Valuable Player. Manning is the first player to ever win the award four times.
Huddle Up: There were plenty of worthy candidates this season, but it's tough to argue with what Manning did with the Colts.
Posted: 12/28/2009 2:39pm et
Indianapolis Colts QB Peyton Manning became the fourth player in NFL history to pass for at least 50,000 yards during the team's game in Week 16.
Huddle Up: Don't look for him to add to that total in Week 17 after what went down against the Jets. Manning and just about every other Colt starter will likely sit out in the regular season finale.
Posted: 12/27/2009 10:49pm et
The Associated Press reports Indianapolis Colts QB Peyton Manning was 14-for-21 for 192 yards Week 16 against the New York Jets. The team rested their starters with 5:36 left in the third quarter and pulled Manning, replacing him with QB Curtis Painter. Painter finished the game 4-for-11 for 44 yards with an interception.
Huddle Up: This was obviously something that had an impact on fantasy owners as well as the Indianapolis Colts who lost their first game of the season this week to the Jets. The game was still close when Manning and the starters were done for the day and Manning was clearly troubled by the loss during and after the game. He continues to be a solid No. 1 quarterback and one of the elite signal-caller in the NFL.
Posted: 12/18/2009 10:22am et
The Associated Press reports Indianapolis Colts QB Peyton Manning was 23-for-30 for 308 yards with four touchdown passes and an interception Week 15 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Huddle Up: Fantasy owners who banked on Manning all season were rewarded when the Colts played their starters the entire game, with Manning producing a very nice jump start to his fantasy teams' Week 15 scorecard. Whether that happens next week, however, remains to be seen.
Posted: 12/15/2009 4:15pm et
The Associated Press reports Indianapolis Colts QB Curtis Painter could make his NFL debut in Week 15 Thursday, Dec. 17, if the team elects to rest QB Peyton Manning early in the game.
Huddle Up: Colts HC Jim Caldwell said his healthy starters will play to win on Thursday, so we're taking that to mean it will be business as usual for Manning. However, if the Colts built a huge lead, don't be surprised if Manning is pulled. But he should still give your Fantasy team what it needs to help bring you a playoff victory.

The Associated Press reports Indianapolis Colts QB Peyton Manning was 28-for-44 for 327 yards with four touchdown passes and two interceptions Week 10 against the New England Patriots.
Huddle Up: Manning threw a couple of uncharacteristic ducks and seemed to struggle a bit in the middle portion of the game. However, with the Colts down 13 and time running down Manning was at his finest in engineering two scoring drives and throwing the game-winning touchdown to Reggie Wayne.
Posted: 11/1/2009 10:32pm et
The Associated Press reports Indianapolis Colts QB Peyton Manning was 31-for-48 for 347 yards during the team's Week 8 game against the San Francisco 49ers.
Huddle Up: Despite the huge yardage game, Manning failed to throw a TD pass in the contest. It is clear that the Colts and Manning are in a whole different category and it appears that Indianapolis and the New Orleans Saints are on an early collision course for a potential Super Bowl matchup. From a fantasy stand point what is there to say but consider Manning for your fantasy lineup each week regardless of the matchup.

Indianapolis Colts QB Peyton Manning (rest) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 30.
Huddle Up: Nothing to worry about here. Manning will be ready to carve up the 49er secondary in Week 8.
